Huntsville Council Boosts Parking, Infrastructure

They approved a $2,600,000 contract with Grayson Carter and Sun to build a five-acre lot on Clinton Avenue, adding three. 150 public spaces under city control. The project goes beyond simple paving. It covers storm drainage, 500 square yards of sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and irrigation systems to make it fully functional. Meanwhile, Council also okayed a yearly lease for $125,000 on a 127,000 square foot lot at. Holmes Avenue, Amon Road Street. That spot brings another 340 spaces to help meet growing demand. On top of parking, they tackled infrastructure too. A $1,400,000 deal with Garver for engineering will upgrade the water and wastewater pump station serving north and west.
