Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils just hit a huge milestone, reaching 400 career

points in his 414th game.

That's the fastest ever in franchise history, beating Kirk Muller's old mark by 15 games.

He did it with three assists and a 4-3 overtime win against the Boston Bruins.

Coming off his Olympic gold medal herodes in Milan, where he scored the overtime winner

against Canada, Hughes has kept the momentum going strong.

Since returning, he's racked up 15 points in just 10 games, powering the Devils offense.

Fans and teammates are buzzing about his elite play at age 24, with 158 goals and 244

assists already.

In that thrilling game, Hughes set up Connor Brown's goal for the 400th point, then assisted

Jesper Bratz tie and Paul Cotter's winner, with 6.2 seconds left.

Cotter also scored earlier, helping seal the comeback.

improving to 34 wins, 31 losses, and 2 ties.
