How political priorities in DC differ

As I frequently point out, we all have priorities, things that we place before others. If we look at how people react, we can often infer their priorities, which can help us determine who we should vote for. Hello there, everyday Americans, Paul Engel here at the Constitution Study, where we read instead of the Constitution, teach horizon generation, be free. I'm glad you could join me today. This idea of priorities is important because it's a fundamental understanding of liberty is that my priorities are going to be different from

1:00your priorities. And liberty means you get to live by your priorities as long as you don't interfere with my right to live by my priorities and vice versa. This is it's the basic fundamental understanding. The basis of the rule of law is that the law should be there to protect our rights. That's what the Declaration says. We we create governments to secure our rights. That's the basic fundamental issue. So when we see how people act, we can get a general idea of their priorities, which I believe offers us insight as to whether or not there were the to hold office or to be listened to or to persuade. I'm going to start with this a recent lawsuit under IEPA, right where the Supreme Court said the Donald Trump violated the law when he implemented the tariffs under IEPA because that legislation that law did not give him the statutory authority to impose tariffs. That was the decision of the court. Didn't say he

2:03couldn't do another others, but it said that he could. And one of the things I pointed out when I discussed that earlier this week was the question of, okay, what about a redress of grievance? What's going to happen with the money that was illegally collected? And I said, some people probably have to sue to get a refund. Well, FedEx has sued. They have filed a lawsuit against a Trump administration demanding a full refund of any of the tariffs they paid under IEPA. Now, the complaint was filed under the US Court of International Trade, which I understand is an article three court, meaning it's a court Congress created under the article three to deal with similar types of international trade disputes. This is also, by the way, the first major lawsuit seeking this reimbursement of tariffs. Now, the Supreme Court decision said nothing about how to deal with the previously collected tariffs.

3:05They said nothing about the refunds. They merely said that the Trump administration President Trump specifically did not have the statutory authority to enact these tariffs. So Federal Express FedEx is requesting that the Court force Customs and Border Protection to refund all the duties they paid last year under IEPA. And according to a quarterly earnings court, FedEx executive said they expected a $1 billion hit to their profits because of the tariff policies. Not all those, I believe, with actual tariffs they paid. I haven't seen a number that says how much it actually was. Now, FedEx is not the only company that has sued. They're simply the first. We're expected to judge from Costco, Revlon, you know, even Bumblebee Foods. And again, it's going to be interesting. I want to see how this court looks at this. I want to see how this

4:06court decides. And but again, this comes down to a question me of priorities. The priority of, well, wait a second, this was used for foreign policy to establish foreign policy. Does that supersede the rule of law? Alan Dershowett said that the Trump administration of lawyers should have used a foreign policy. These were not economic gains. These are foreign policies. These issues claiming that that would suddenly make them article two powers, which is blatantly false. Nothing in article two gives the president the power for policy. But again, we're seeing what are the priorities? Now, for FedEx, the priority is money. If someone takes a significant amount of money from you, illegally, you launch your money back. I have no problem with FedEx filing this lawsuit. What I'm waiting for is how this international court of international trade is going to look at that claim, how they're going to analyze that claim. And that will give us some ideas of what the court's priorities are when it comes to dealing with this redress of a grievance.

5:12This next story is actually a little more complicated involves the US Postal Service. The Supreme Court recently decided in a five four decision that Americans cannot sue the Postal Service when its employees intentionally fail to deliver mail. The majority was opinion was written by Justice Thomas and involves a woman, by the name of Labine Conan. She claims that this was a racially motivated action. She claimed she's a respected black realtor, insurance agent, and landlady. And that in 2020, Postal employees began a long, a year's long campaign of racial harassment against her. She claims that the US Postal Service failed to deliver mail to her or her tenant because its employees allegedly did not like the idea of a black person on the property and leastrooms to white people. That's a lot of claims. And I haven't looked at the case to see

6:12what evidence she has to support that. I do don't have her that withholding mail violates federal law. And she claims that in this case it drove away tenants. I mean imagine if you're going to rent a place and this place has a reputation for having bad mail service, you may want to go somewhere else. I mean, I know when I don't get mail, I get worried because there are bills that got to be paid and all, even in the modern digital age. So a miscon and file suit under two of the equal protection statutes under the federal toward claims act. And because this comes into the question of sovereign immunity. In fact, Justice Thomas Roth, the United States, retains sovereign immunity for claims arising out of the intentional non-delivery of mail because both miscarriage and loss of mail under FTCA, Postal exception can occur as a result of the Postal Service's intentional failure to deliver mail. Now, all right, he's problem number one. The United States does not have sovereign immunity. I know the courts like to say that,

7:16but in the United States, the federal government is not sovereign. The people are sovereign. We created the States. The States created the federal government. The United States is not sovereign. This is a myth created by courts in order to allow governments to run rampant. Second of all, the US Postal Service is no longer a whole part of the federal government. It is a federally created corporation, meaning it's a separate entity. It does not inherit this alleged sovereign immunity because it is not sovereign. So what you have is the courts, once again, protecting the federal government from its own criminal activities because, apparently, to Justice Thomas, the priority of the government can do no wrong, which is the definition of a certain, pretty much the exception of a sovereign. Sovereign immunity comes through the concept that the sovereign, whatever the sovereign does is legal. Even when it's criminal, it's legal. This shows it's one of the reasons why I keep pointing to the Justice saying, these are nine people that need a basic reading comprehension class because they can't read the Constitution.

8:21But look at it as step farther. You have alleged criminal activities by employees of the US Postal Service, but the priority to the Supreme Court, at least a majority of the Supreme Court, is not, okay, there's been a crime committed alleged, I should say, alleged against the against the citizen United States, or at least a resident. And we're not going to allow that to go forward because, well, we need to protect the federal government. This is the level of corruption, I believe, in the priorities of the court. See, the court is supposed to hold the Constitution. And the Constitution says, we have the stage created the federal government. They didn't delegate to them sovereignty. There's nothing in the Constitution that says the federal government is sovereign that it can do what it wants. Even the powers allocated to it, delegated to it are limited by that document. That document, which the preamble says,

9:21was ordained and established by the people of the United States, through our states. Now, I also want to remind people that under Article 3, justice is both the Supreme and the Fiery Court's only hold office during good behavior. Since Mr. Thomas took an oath to support the Constitution of the United States, which does not delegate sovereignty to the United States, this decision is directly in violation of his oath of office. Now, the decision is not, but that violation of the oath of office, to me, that's bad behavior, and should be justification for impeachment. In Peach, Justice Thomas, this is not the only example. Again, I don't know if there are other parts to the case. They never got that far, and it's never going to get that far, because Justice Thomas, along with four other members of the court, said that this case cannot even come to trial. Ms. Conan cannot even seek a redress of grievance, because the federal government is all powerful, and since the federal government spun off the U.S. Pulsars, you see,

10:24used to be the postal department, used to actually be part of the federal government. It is not anymore. It's a separate corporation created by the federal government's federal corporation, completely different. He just ignores that. What does that say about the priorities of Mr. Thomas? Again, I agree with Mr. Thomas on a lot of things he does, but I'm sorry, this is an object failure, and the other justice went along with him. Also, an object failure. Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Alito, Kavanaugh, and Barrett, they all failed. They failed their oath of office. They failed to follow the law. They made up, or they followed a previous court that made up this nonsense of sovereign immunity, because the federal government didn't sovereign. The United States isn't sovereign. It is a subject of the states, but you see, that's not taught in law school. The Constitution is not taught in law school, and that must ask the question of maybe our priorities

11:25for who we should support for president should include justice that actually will follow. Have a history of following the Constitution, fulfilling their oath, especially when it's a difficult decision. That to me is the priorities we should be looking for, and it's those priorities, again, that help us determine what policies will support who we're going to vote for, and even how we treat other people. Our priorities are so often readily available on display, not by what we say, ladies and gentlemen, by what we do. When you're talking about public figures, I think we should pay attention to the priorities they exhibit, because the priorities they exhibit are the ones they're most likely going to support when they're in office. The best way to tell how someone's going to act in office is to see how they act outside of office. If their priorities are supporting donors or

12:26doing anything to get re-elected, well, you can't be surprised when they do that in office. When their priorities are fulfilling their oath to support the Constitution, even if it's painful, even if it's costly, even if it means going against the grain, that should tell them how you're going to act, they're more likely to act in office. Now, your priorities, how you just, those are yours. I recommend looking at how people fulfill their oath and making that the priority. I can't force you to. That's my recommendation. I hope, as I show in this program, it is a valid and worthy way of determining who to vote for, of judging the qualifications of those seeking office. I think my track record of supporting policies, I think that holds up over time. If you disagree with me, well, that's your right. I don't even mind you advocating for that. I think

13:27I do, I think if we're advocating based on facts and data, I think the best facts will win, and the best outcome will be found. But we have to recognize that everybody has to set a priorities, and we shouldn't be surprised when they act in accordance with the priorities they've already demonstrated. For example, one of my priorities is taking care of my family. I've worked hard and made money so I can provide for my family, even when times get tough. I've trained and prepared to defend my home and my family. I've even trained and prepared for more routine issues, like having a fire extinguisher since the house or first aid in trauma kits. That is my priority. What about yours? Are you prepared for when the bad stuff happens? To get proper preparation prevents poor performance. That's a priority of mine, and yes, that's a lot of peace. But if that's true, then are you prepared for emergencies?

14:33For example, when when COVID hit, how many people heard stories about, well, you can't get the drugs you need because supply chain or because some bureaucrat said, no, no, no, that's not the this Nobel Prize-winning drug is this has been used for centuries or decades, I should say, and for humans. When we think of priorities, I think we often think of positives, right? My family is more important than myself. My family is more important than the farm. My

20:59farm is more important than the county. These are the priorities, but sometimes our priorities are how we distinguish negatives as well. For example, the punishment for stealing $10 from the gas station is not nearly as severe as stealing a car. The punishment for beating up somebody in public is not the same as the one for taking their life. These priorities are important. I think they distinguish what we find most valuable. What is the value placed on the injury, the punishment that goes with it? I bring that up because there's a couple of interesting things happening out of guess where Minnesota. The Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party has introduced a new law. Again, trying to prohibit the possession, the owning of the most popular rifle in America, the AR-15.

22:03I want to look at the priorities. In the Minnesota legislature, they actually consider the owning an AR-15 with a standard capacity magazine, by the way, is a felony worth five years in jail. Why is that important? Well, a fifth-degree rape is punished by two years in jail. This is defined, again, non-consensual penetration is worth two years and you're saying that the crime of owning a weapon, again, not only the most popular, a weapon used many times for the defensive innocent people is more dangerous, is more evil than the crime of rape. It's worse than the fifth-degree assault, which is 90 days in jail. It's a misdemeanor. The first offense of domestic assault, 90 days in jail, misdemeanor,

23:07false imprisonment, one year in jail, a gross misdemeanor, interference with a 9-1-1 call, a one year in jail, gross misdemeanor. That says to me, it appears that the legislators of Minnesota, the ability to defend oneself with a significantly useful weapon to them is more evil, more criminal than not just assault, not just domestic abuse, or false imprisonment, but rape. What does that say about the priorities of the legislators as many athletes? And what does that say about the priorities of the people that put them there? Is that really how you view things? That if your neighbor were to, let's say, expose himself and gratify himself in front of your

24:12child, that's bad. But if they own an AR, not use it criminally, just own an AR-15, that's two and a half times worse. Really? If your husband or wife or boyfriend girlfriend, if they assault you, that's bad. But simply owning a firearm. That's five times worse. That's a felony. Tells me a lot about the priorities. And the priorities seem to be the last thing the Minnesota Legislator wants is the people to be able to defend themselves. They consider owning an AR-15, a semi-automatic rifle. I know they like to call it an assault weapon that are made up term. They look at that and say, oh, that's worse than rape and assault and all of these other things. And again, if you live in Minnesota, well, these are the people you've hired to represent you,

25:13which means does that how you feel? Because that's what they are doing. And that's not all. This one, well, I want to say I couldn't believe it, but I'm really, I think I'm getting so jaded by the crazy that I believe just about anything that happens in Minnesota right now. You see, there's a state representative in Minnesota. Lea think. That thinks keeping porn out of the hand of children is bad. In fact, she went so far as to say that watching child pornography can be educational. You mentioned the Paxton case. And the AGs in many states are very clear about that they're almost jubilant about being able to use these laws to ban young people from accessing content that could be educational if they are queer.

26:18Now, I don't disagree. It could be educational, but being educational doesn't necessarily mean it's good. I mean, you can just as easily educate someone into doing something bad. They talk about the prison system being basically, you know, graduate school for criminals. People who go into the system can often learn about becoming a better criminal. I don't think that's the goal. So yes, it does educate, it educates people into perversion. It often educates people into degrading women, speaking of degrading women. This is a dude pretending to be a woman, a woman. So but the idea that we should not protect our children from something potentially dangerous to them, especially to their young psyches because in this dude's opinion, well, some queer kid could figure out something educational from this monstrosity. Now, I do have issues with how some of these age verification laws have been been put together because they make claims they they patently cannot

27:22fulfill. They seem more about show than actual go. But the idea of protecting our children. And by the way, that primarily should fall in the parents. They should get help from government. They should fall on the parents say, Oh, no, you should let your child be exposed to pornography as education, which means should it be in the schools? If it's going to be in the schools, well, you're saying it's only educational for queer. Well, then how are you defining that? Are the parents going to come and say by child is queer? So therefore, you can get access to the pornography. You see how twisted this is? And again, it tells me a lot about this this particular Minnesota representative, her priorities, his priorities, sorry, his priorities. One is sexual perversion. Two is a denial of reality. I can say, I can say, but again, you've got to do pretending to be a chick. You've got a man

28:25pretend to be a woman that's promoting the use of pornography in children as an educational tool. That tells me an awful lot, not just about that person, but it tells me a lot collectively of the people that voted for him to represent them. And let me tell you one of the priorities that have not been expressed in this. And that is the safety of children, the protection of childhood itself. The idea that children should be exposed to these sexual topics before their bodies, much less their minds are even ready for this. Tells me an awful lot about the priorities of people who promote this on the flip side. I saw this very interesting report. This one came out of the Crime Research Center where I get a lot of information. It's it's it's generally very interesting, but we're going to look at the priorities here. So the the title of this particular report is

29:25transgender shooters commit disproportionate share of mass public and active shooting attacks in 2024. At least 12 times their share of the population. Okay, that's a very evocative. Oh my god, we've got to see what's going on here. So let's take a look at the data. So this is using FBI data. And we have to remember transgenders is such a small percentage of the population that extremely small activities will show dramatic percentage to increase. It's one of the things about statistics, right? Get lies, darn lies and statistics. So there's a reason why you focus on the percentage because in this case, you can have a showing okay. And they look at the data and the basic tenant is true in 2024, according to FBI data. 16.37% of shooting attacks were committed by

30:26transgenders, people who claim to be the other sex. And that is a larger than considering they are less than 1% of the population. That's that's quite a number. But here's what's interesting. That number is an outlier. You look at 2022 and 23. There's 2.73 and 2.84% of these attacks. You go back to, you know, 2018, 2019. That's roughly 4.5%. Oh, why did that? Why did I skip over 2020 and 21? Yeah, because there were none. So on the one hand, I look at it and say, all right, the agenda, the priority of the crime research center. So look at this number and say, hey, maybe there's a problem with transgender. That appears quite obvious. The fact that focusing on transgender, rather than focusing on why 2024, why are they focusing on this? Well, a

31:28political fact, a report claims that there's no evidence of rising LGBTQ plus violent extremism or trans terrorism. In other words, the crime research center was directly refuting a report from political fact, which, yeah, I've already understood. They're not generally fact-based. Now, that's being said, in the last, what, seven years, the number of the previous 70s between 2018 and 2024, the percentage of shootings by transgender is higher. It is statistically higher. If we leave out 2024, which is an outlier, you still have a statistically significant percentage of the population more than the general population. But again, because it's such a small population, one incident has a much greater impact than, you know, another, the rest of the population.

32:31But it also brought something else to my attention as I'm looking at this because, you know, me and numbers, I love numbers. So if the percentage of the population that is transgender is 1% or less, over all these years, 1.01 was the highest percentage. Fact interesting, 2024 is the lowest, 0.89% of the population. Then, why do they get so much attention? I understand protecting the rights of minorities, but this is an unbelievable focus on this, which makes me wonder, is this so much in view, is politic fact promoting this idea because they have a neural agenda they're promoting? Well, I'm pretty sure that's the case. But again, I find it really interesting that people would be surprised that people who have demonstrated a mental issue, a mental disturbance would be, would, would, would not be more likely to

33:32commit violence based on that. I mean, you look at most of the active shooters, they call them, most of these mass public shootings, and they are people who have mental disorders. They're either obsessed with somebody or they feel persecuted by somebody. They have a mental disorder that is disrupting the reality that leads them to this level of violence. Well, since, again, transgenderism is a mental disorder, the inability to recognize biology, I'm really not surprised that they would be higher than the population because they've already demonstrated a mental disorder, which is often involved in mass public shootings and active shooter incidents. So, to me, this kind of makes sense. Again, you look at the numbers and well, they're two to five percent of the, of the shootings. Yeah. But again, it's, it's understandable, not lies, not lies and statistics. It's looking at them and trying to understand

34:37the priorities of the people behind the data so you can properly analyze the data. And I would say that this report tells me that it's not a separate political fact. It has an agenda to protect this minority of the population. And the Crime Research Center has an agenda of, well, I would say not just opening facts, but finding the, the sensational fact in the data behind these shootings. Now, I have some more things I want to take a look at, but I have a break coming up before I go, though. I want to remind you that you do have a choice. You've rejoined the Constitution. Today we're talking about priorities and what we can learn when we examine when we determine a person's priorities by what they do, what they say, what they support, what they're willing to fight for and what they're willing to put above other things. For example, represent Elon Omar. Now she's demonstrated quite a few priorities over the years including well her general hatred for law enforcement. What I will say is that there is an easier conversation happening today than six, seven years ago

40:58when I got to Congress about what we need to do with ICE which is to abolish it. And there is a lot of conversation about what the dismantlement of the Department of Homeland Security should look like. Okay, so she obviously does not apparently want to enforce our immigration and custom laws and she wants to dismantle the Department of Homeland Security. Now what's interesting is do you realize what departments are part of the Department of Homeland Security? That includes the the TSA, the Coast Guard. I believe that includes FEMA. In other words, she basically wants to dismantle all these different agencies. Her priorities seems to be dismantling everything that protects our physical safety. Now I believe she was also among those that were pushing for to defund the police when well people lied about what happened to George

42:03Floyd and others and use it as a political tool. So I am wonder is her priority actually to dismantle the United States which is quite possible. I mean she has exposed some serious Marxist tendencies or is this simply a political move? As a Democrat she hates everything that protects the United States as Trump would put everything that makes America great. So anything that might protect the American people or the American homeland she seems to be opposed to. Now she is a recitizen. She has every right to her opinion. I'm not disagreeing with that. In fact, I love the fact that she keeps telling us just exactly how un-American she is. I don't mean because of the the scarves she wears or the accents she has, but because of her utter disregard for the laws of the United States, including frequently the Constitution of the United States. Now on the other side we have Donald Trump. Donald Trump recently signed an executive order declaring that

43:04a glyphosate, somewhat controversial chemical used in herbicides, is now a critical component of national security. Now again, let's back up for a little bit. Glyphosate, if you've heard of the issues with the weed killer roundup, the fact that it's currently manufactured bare is being sued left right in center for the harm that comes from meeting stuff that is covered with roundup with glyphosate, because it's been very controversial over the years. So Donald Trump signed this, which to me brings up two questions of priority. So, okay, yes, I understand. The ability to have food is certainly a part of national security. If we go to war and we don't have access to food, the American people die, and well, the war doesn't really matter anymore. But what if the glyphosate is causing irreparable damage to the American people? If the food is

44:12killing you, what type of priority does that have? Now just before the president signed this executive order, bare announced that Monsanto proposed a seven and a quarter billion dollar settlement to the class action suit against Monsanto and bare for the damage done by roundup, which critical component is glyphosate. Now, what you eat, that's up to you. Whether you're concerned about glyphosate or not is up to you, whether you're concerned about food grown with glyphosate or not, is up to you. But I look at this and I have to ask the question, what are the priorities here? The priorities have something to stuff in people's mouths would be obvious, right? When it comes to food, something is better than nothing. But we also have a question of, well, what if it's that something is is toxic or harmful, right? Let's not say it's harmful. Well, okay, more than one

45:18thing can be true at the same time. In other words, in a in a time of war and time of national security, eating bread grown with wheat made with glyphosate to as part of the herbicides, well, you'd really would you have rather have that or would you rather have nothing? Obviously, in that situation, I'm sure most people would rather have food with glyphosate than no food at all. On the other hand, in times of peace, you may want to skip the glyphosate food and find wheat that's that's not been treated that way and use that, get bread based on that. It's a priority decision. And these are the types of things I want us to consider, right? It's not that the same answer is true for everybody. It's understanding our need to prioritize certain things. And too often, I think we don't think about these things ahead of time. They kind of catch us by surprise. It reminds me of a story I heard. I heard this years ago and I loved it. It was a college

46:20professor and he's got a whole theater full of students and he walks in with a big glass managed chart, five gallon of chart. And I'll remember the podium he pulls a bucket full of rocks, big old rocks, and he starts stuffing the rocks in there and getting to the the the jars full of rocks. And he asks the class, is it full? And the class generally says, yes, he pulls out another bucket. This one was smaller rocks and he pours them in and he jiggles the jar so that they settle down and in between the big rocks, is it full? Now the class kind of more hesitant goes, yes, he pulls out a bucket full of sand and he pours sand in and he jiggles it down to the sand, feels all the gaps between the small rocks. And he asks again, is it full? Now the class is not sure. They kind of go, yes, and he pulls out a bucket of water and he pours water into the jar

47:22until the water is to the top. And he said, the jar is your life. The big rocks are the important things to you, the important aspects of your life. Well, we would call the high priority items. Those smaller rocks are the lower priority items. The sand is the desirable items. The water is the whatever's left over. And he said, if you don't take the time to put the big rocks in, if you let the jar fill up with sand and water before you put the big rocks in, there's no room for the big rocks. If we let our lives fill up with whatever's going on today and we don't put our priorities in first, there's no room for them. Now for some of them, that may be food without glyphosate. For some of them, that may be law enforcement. For some of you, that might be who knows what? The point is, if we don't pay attention to the priorities of life, how are we supposed to

48:26play, understand the priorities of our representatives? If we are going to vote for somebody, how do we know what their priorities are? And how does that influence our decision, whether or not to vote for them, or how to advise them of what we consider important? Because to quote, was it Santiago? Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. As a perfect example, do you remember all the problems with the mRNA COVID vaccines? The guy that developed the mRNA vaccine technology said, it's not, it shouldn't be used in humans. The one who said they said that these these fake vaccines are dangerous. Well, now the FDA is considering using the same mRNA technology for the influenza vaccine. Now remember, the influenza vaccine is generally year-by-year,

49:26only about eight to 12 percent effective because they don't know which strand of the vaccine is going to be predominant that year. But now, for those people who get the, and by the way, I never get the flu vaccine because I don't want the flu. Instead of getting an attenuated virus, say a dead virus, almost not technically a lot, say a virus into your bloodstream to teach your body to protect yourself against that strand of the virus, they want to teach your body to make that strand of the virus. Meaning, you're going to teach your body to make something that's toxic to it. And there are all sorts of medical issues with that. Why do we bring the priorities? See, the FDA has agreed to consider this. But guess what? First of all, the FDA doesn't legally exist. There's no power to regulate food and drugs delegated to the United States by the Constitution. It's a clear violation of the 10th Amendment. And the question of priorities, are you going to let a government bureaucrat determine for you what you're going to stick in your arm? That's a priority

50:31for me. That's why I never took the COVID-19 vaccine. It's why I don't get the flu vaccine. It's why I don't play these stupid games for stupid prizes. It's a priority to me. What is your priority? And where are the priorities you're looking for and the people are going to represent you? Not just in Congress, in your state legislature, in your county legislature, if you're in a city, in your city legislature, what are your priorities? What are you going to focus on? And then how are you going to make that decision? The reason I ask every candidate, show me when you fulfilled your oath to support the Constitution when it cost you something is because that's a priority to me. If I can't trust you to keep a solemn promise, I can't trust you to do anything. If I can't trust you to fulfill an oath, that oath means nothing. That oath is words. And what was the last time you saw a government employee lose their job because they failed to fulfill

51:38an oath? And that's what makes a republic work. Not just the electing of representation, but holding that representation accountable. That's what makes a report. That's what Jeffrey, what Franklin was talking about. We said we had a republic. If we could keep it, if we the people did our job holding our elected representatives accountable, choosing them based on a set of priorities that involve rights and liberty holding them accountable when they make mistakes. Not if they make mistakes when they make mistakes. It is up to we the people and we've convinced ourselves that no, that somebody will do something. Well, the problem is when you're waiting for somebody to do something, nobody does anything. And that's how freedom and liberty dies. It doesn't die necessarily in the flame of battle, but in the in the calm waters of apathy of just an unwillingness to stand up for

52:42your rights and unwillingness to invest the time and effort to choose representation, to spend more time focusing on your representation than what you're going to have for dinner tonight. While both are important, I would claim that one has a much greater impact not just on your life, but in the lives of your neighbors, of your family, of your friends. Because of that, I think it means we should spend some more time putting making sure that our priorities are what are controlling our vote and that our priorities are not get this over with so that I can go about my life. Because that's the attitude that means we won't have the freedom to go about our lives in the future. So I ask you to take some time today, sit down and think about what are your priorities. And then maybe keep track of what you're doing today and ask yourself, are your actions living up to the priorities you think you have? Think we have priorities, but our actions tell us what our

53:46real priorities are. And hopefully, if more Americans do that, well, you know, we may be able to, we may be able to make our cities and towns better places, more constitutionally some more rights protecting. Of course, you do that. We change our counties and you change the counties, you can change the state and we change it off states and the federal government doesn't matter anymore. So you're recognizing our priorities and what we're willing to sacrifice to see those priorities succeed. We'll tell us a lot about what this country will look like in the foreseeable future.
