Houston Basketball's Gritty Win Over Baylor

The Cougars improved to 25 wins and five losses overall, and 13-4 in conference play, marking back-to-back victories. They trailed early, facing two 10-point deficits in the first half before tying it at 35 at the break. In the second half, Houston flipped the momentum with a huge 20-3 run over five and a half minutes, pulling ahead for good and outscoring. Baylor 27-10 down the stretch. Freshman Kingston Flemmings led with 21 points and seven assists, while a manual sharp added 19 points, including key three-pointers. Joseph Tuggler chipped in 14 points and six rebounds, and Milo's Uzen had 12 points and three assists. The team shot over 50% in the second half after a slow start. Coach Kelvin Samson called it the type of gritty game needed this late in the season. Raising the fight in a tough conference.
