And how are you interpreting this snafu between quarterback Daniel Jones and the ball, which may, may lead to a tag being put on his back. And what stands out to you about the 49ers reportedly struggling to find a trade partner for Mac Jones keeping up with the Joneses.

02We love the silly season where things are about to get cranked up in the NFL the next couple of days and one of the storylines is in Philadelphia. The obligatory mal or monologue regarding disgruntled past rusher from the Delaware Valley the always popular AJ Brown. Have you heard the latest on this? No. Maybe not. Okay. So the future of AJ Brown hanging in the balance. Oh! It's named for being kicked around the pinball machine being tossed around the pinball machine there. We've learned that the E-A-G-L-E-A-Ls are apparently undecided. They don't know what to do. They don't know what to do. They don't know what to do. Oh my god, the drama. The drama. So the story bouncing around saying, well, Eagles, they're not sure whether they really want to trade them or not. That's discussed. That is a good

02jumping off point. The Eagles said to be undecided whether or not they want to keep the player or not. So as we discuss the question, Philadelphia, according is reporting that they're still uncertain. I'll use the word uncertain on the future of wide receiver AJ Brown, whether or not he's on the trading block. So how serious is the uneasiness in reality? So I've got the Delta app, Hobby Lobby, and Mr. Peanut. And we will combine all of these things together and for Attila, we're going to make the Gobbogool. As we don't make the Gobbogool, he's going to be upset. We don't not want him upset. And then if we make him upset, he's going to throw the Bobbogunus at me. So to lead off the question, whether or not AJ Brown is going to be traded the reporting, the breathless reporting. Or uncertain, undecided what they're going to do and all that. I have this

02as a waffle house story. I have this as a waffle house story. The three AM, four AM waffle house crowd, extra syrupy, extra syrupy, extra butter, side of nonsense, side of nonsense. And then you can have some, you can have some potatoes also if you want that. But the side of nonsense, those are panicking. No. No, the only blithering idiots would believe this is some kind of panic move. What they're doing is they're slow cooking this. They're not using the microwave. They're not even using the air fryer. They're using the slow cooker. And they're not uncertain. They're the auctioneers. That's the way I see the room. They're the auctioneers and the closer you get to the NFL draft, the fatter the offers. Agree or disagree. You agree? Good job by you. Yeah, the closer you get, you have to present a deadline. Like this week is not a deadline.

02The Eagles don't have to trade AJ Brown this week or anything like that. And the closer you get, teams start sniffing around, teams like the Patriots and the bills and the 49ers. And then you make an offer. No, you make an offer. And then no, you make an offer. To make a trade now wouldn't make a lot of sense. If you're the fill of the Eagles, it does not make a lot of sense. You don't trade right now. You just don't do it. It's like buying airline tickets. I'm sure you've heard if you ever fly anywhere. That there's, I think it's like Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday evening like between a couple of hours, I say, I don't know, four o'clock and six o'clock or something like that. There's a period of time where you drive, you buy, and this can get a draft to play, but you buy airline tickets. There's a sweet spot. And same with trades. Eagles are, they're just refreshing

03the Delta app right now. They're waiting for the prices to go down and then they're going to buy the prices. And now the tell, the tell is pumping up and I saw this in the, breathless reporting about AJ Brown what's going to happen. They were pumping up wide receiver number two Devante Smith. The number two where I receiver in Philadelphia. And he's got another gear. He hasn't reached the highest level. Untap potential. Untap potential. Okay, that is a billboard. That is a billboard. That's laying the groundwork for AJ. It's like making the runway nice and clean and you can take off and go somewhere else. Go somewhere else, right? Because you're slaubering. Slubber, slubber. All over Devante Smith and shopping AJ Brown at the same time. So the word I will use is strategic that'll be the word I will use here.

03It's Lady Gaga poker face. Lady Gaga poker face. And how he Roseman who the media loves the guy in the world. He buys everyone drinks and empathizes. Everyone loves how he roseman. And how he's over there. He's counting his chips. And he's like, okay, I know we're going to get at least two of these teams. Two of these suckers. And they're going to be bidding. And whoever makes the biggest offer boom, we got the guy. We'll trade the guy. We'll get the picks. 5050 raffle. Whether or not the coach will be able to get a deal done by today's deadline. Today is apparently a deadline. This is a franchise tag deadline day. Always a big day in my house. I don't know about your house. Man is this a big day. We always look forward to it. A little chocolate's out for the NFL

03franchise tag mascot that comes in. And if you've been naughty or nice, not the chocolates or not. But anyway, so the story here is we're told the transition tag is a possibility if Daniel Jones keeping up with the Joneses does not get a deal done here with the Colts. It doesn't sound like as of a few hours ago anything was going to happen here. And so the transition tag would would allow Daniel Jones to come back to play for the Colts. And the Colts wouldn't have to pay him the full amount. But he would even be allowed to go to market. And if somebody's dumb enough to offer him a long-term contract, then the Colts would say, no, no. We're dumber. We're going to match the contract. He suffered a mutilated Achilles. Snapcrackle pop back in week 14. So he's free to negotiate with another NFL team.

03And then the right of refusal is the question. How are you interpreting this snafu, this snafu between Daniel Jones and the Colts where they have had plenty of time to get a deal done. There's no deal done. So where are you at on this one? So of course, it doesn't sound close. It should not sound close. It should not sound close. Right? Yeah. One side has eyes. I would assume. And the other side, they've got an agent. So one side's looking at reality. And then the other side's like, wait a minute. What's going on here? And so we are at a crossroads. We are at a tipping point in this. And if you're the Colts, I wouldn't slap the transition tag on Daniel Jones. I didn't think he, after he did have a couple of weeks where he looked all right. But people seem to forget a month over a month

03where he was bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. And so what are you worried about? He said really that much of a difference between Daniel Jones and Kyler Murray or Tua Tonga Vailoa. They're all the same. They all blow. So what's the difference? There she blows. Daniel Jones, you know he has a big fan of Hobby Lobby. How is this guy lucked out? The guy's been absolute trash. Daniel Jones in his NFL career. And I say he likes Hobby Lobby. His hobby is collecting bags. A big giant bags. Not because he's actually produced. Because people thought he should be good. And remember in sports, it's more important that people think you're going to be good than actually being good. You get paid on what you may do. Not what you're actually doing. Now what is my point? Alright, there are very few players

03of this generation in the NFL that have been paid more for doing less than Daniel Jones. I did some mal or math back in the napkin mal or math. Did you know that Daniel Jones has been paid 1.3 million per touchdown pass. Did you know that? Yeah, yeah. But wait, there's more. Is it true that if you basically full body of work, Daniel Jones has made that he has made per win that he started $3.8 million per win with Daniel Jones. It's good work if you can get it. Numbers like 122 million. He's 139 games I believe with the giants and the Colts combined. Now you toss in the injury curveball and that is a capital Q quagmire

03for the horse use. And again, my point is Daniel Jones looked okay for a little bit and then the same Daniel Jones that was Vanellavik and Danny Dimes with the giants. The same guy and he's like, well, we were just going to ignore that part. Why would you ignore that part? All right. Now the last thing we go to Northern California. There's been a lot of chatter and God knows we love the chatter. There's been a lot of chatter that there's going to be a massive push to get Mac Jones. Well, not anymore. The latest reporting, the combine is now over but the latest reporting says there is not a robust market for 49er backup quarterback Mac Jones keeping up with the Joneses. So the question I use the question. What stands out

03to you? What stands out to you about the 49ers? If you believe the reporting the 49ers struggling to find a trade, a partner for Mac Jones. So as we decode this, all right, as we decode this one, this is a Mr. Peanut story. No, we're all mean by that. Planters strategically planted. They're leaking this to try to drum up inches. I say, hey, listen, no one's trying to get Mac Jones. You can get him for a song and a dance. It's not going to cost you an arm and a leg. Come on down. And so that's my thing. This was leaked because they're trying to get somebody to bid on Mac Jones. And the, oh, we love Mac. We want to keep Mac Jones. Because that had been the story line. Even at the, the combine was the last week when John Lynch was interviewed. And we got no lies. We pay attention

03to all his crap. And John Lynch is like, oh, yeah, we want the guy. We don't think it'll be trade. And Shanahan said similar things. And supposedly they wanted a third round draft pick for Mac Jones. So they're, they're holding a yard sale to garage sale. And they're pricing Mac Jones like he's an item in Sotheby's. Like, what are you doing? And people aren't biting. The reason they're not biting, I'll tell you why. They're not biting because the NFL sees Mac Jones as far from guaranteed, right? You know, all these guys are far from guaranteed. But then they see him as a, you know, definitely a backup. But how much of his success was because of coaching and how much of his success was because he's actually improved. And there should be some kind of discount code. There should be a coupon that goes with that attached. And so I said at this point, the fact that the Niners are leaking that nobody wants Mac Jones would indicate that

03they're trying to get at least a fourth round pick. I would think they've got a fifth round offer is now they want to get a fourth round pick for him. And also, like one, according to the story that was, I think I ran on that athletic, I don't know, it was buying some paywall. And they said that a GM at the combine said when asked about possibly trading for Mac Jones, are they throwing in Kyle Shanahan? Of course, that's obvious. I said, hey, Mac Jones was spoon fed like a baby. He was spoon fed. And that if you say, hey, go out and eat that steak. I can't eat the steak. Why can't you eat the steak? But you played okay for the 49ers. But I know, but that was, that was Gerber baby food. Okay, but here's the steak. I can't eat a steak. That's pretty much where we're. But you look at the musical chairs. And teams are, they're going through a Kyler Murray, who stinks also. Geno Smith, Tua Tonga Vialoa. It's a clearance rack.

04It's an absolute clearance rack of quarterbacks. All those guys, the maybe, could or should or would or all those guys, they have to find new homes. And Mac Jones, think of it like if you, you go to Best Buy, you know, you're the back of Best Buy. And the Best Buy in your my house is in the back on the right hand side. They have the, the discounted TVs. Like the open box, you ever seen that? Yeah. And it's kind of like going to a pot luck. You know, maybe you get the greatest mac and cheese that you've ever had. Or you could get some fish that's been laying out for about seven hours and it's disgusting. And all you know, you don't really know. But the open box TV, that's Mac Jones, in the back of Best Buy. That's what it is. And there's also this play of time, getting draft. And Mac Jones, it feels like he's the kind of guy that will be traded the weekend of the NFL draft. And you won't even realize it. He'll be traded.

04He's like, what is, what the heck? I don't understand. It is the Ben Mallor Show. If you would like to be part, you can join us right now. 877-99 on Fox. That's 877-9966369. Also on X. Nobody deserves it more than the all-time game show wins. King, that's right, Fergdog. I have more wins than anyone. Not even close.

06Take that cowherd, Rob Parker. All you got, Dan Patrick. None of you guys can win as many game shows as I can. None of you. And the Benny Awards are coming up. Not this Sunday, but the following Sunday in the Monday. That is the tentative date for the Benny Awards, which means that the voting will take place starting not this next week, but the week after, right? A couple days after that, yes. Am I right on that? Yeah, well, we'll have about a week of voting. Okay. Give or take. And there will be, as always, the most competitive category is the dudes on X. We've got so many loyal minions, great legends like AustroJand and DC and Bonito, the long-suffering cowboy fan and the latest Doc Dan. We don't have a category for rookie social media user of the year, but Doc Dan came on the scene very impressive. And Nostradinus, that battle we had with the CX.

06So there's a lot of legends there. And it's very competitive. And Mike DeLepricon, Shane and Des Moines. Who's your bill? All those cats. All those cats. Goatman, Rob, Andy, and Lionel Lakes. We can go on and on and on and on. All right, let's go back to the phones. And one of the legends. We sail on out to Dick and Dayton. Hello, Dick. Welcome. Hey, good morning, guys. How are you? Now, we have an update, Dick. So there's a tentative date. I don't want to say anything yet, Dick, because I don't... But there are boots on the ground. And I don't want to give this guy's name out. But there's somebody I have who's looking for a location in the greater Cincinnati area. Now, I know you're about an hour away. Is that correct in Dayton? Is that... Yeah, okay. But you could hour away. We could work it out where you could make it there, right? We could schedule it. Yeah. I'll come pick you up if I have to. I'll rent a car, and I'll pick your ass up, okay? If I have to, to make sure you're there. It's not very far. Okay. We would just come to Stony Ridge.

07I'll give you the address. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Don't need to give it out on the air. You don't need to give it out. We're on the air. You don't need to give it out. It's all good. I'll let you know. I'll let you know. Meanwhile, though, you didn't call up about that Dick and Dayton. You got a lot on your mind. There's a lot of things going on here with your teams. Now, for those of you who don't know Dick and Dayton, it's one of the great callers in talk radio. How many years you've been calling talk radio, Dick and Dayton? We'll see. I'll be... I got a birthday coming up, April 14th. The same as Pete Rose. Yeah. Yeah, same as Pete Rose. I'd say, let's see. 40 years? What are we looking at? 50 years? Yeah, I would say 40 when I was in... 40 years. When I was in college. I used to have started calling Cincinnati and Cleveland. Yeah, sports talk shows. You got a bug here? You remember? Yeah. Well, well, I'm not 40 years ago, but you called me... You've been calling me for over 20 years. You've been calling me as well. Two decades, Dick and Dayton. Where's the time gone? My God. I've been up with the... Remember, up with the...

07My God, I got that dinner, remember? Yes. That was the famous call. I was working a show Thanksgiving night. Yeah. And Dick and Dayton had Thanksgiving dinner. We played the... How much did Dick and Dayton pay for Thanksgiving dinner? And 20 years ago, you paid like $5 or something. Right? Very little. Four dollars. Four dollars. Oh my goodness. Yeah. All right. Well, you live in the sovereign state nation of Ohio, right? You really... All your needs are taken care of in Ohio. You don't need to go to Illinois or Indiana or Kentucky or anywhere else. Everything you need is right there in Ohio, correct? Right. Hey. Exactly. I can't believe it. How about my can't believe it. Oh, yeah. Well, you... Well, James Harden's hurt right now. Are you... Yeah. Concerned. Now, I think they're going to be okay. But, you know, I think it's going to be good this year. If they don't fall back like they did last year, get a bad leak. You know, Detroit got a lead on them. I think the Guardians are going to win it this year. The Cleveland Guardians.

08Now, no one else has that take, Dick. You're the only one calling the Guardians to win. Now, when you say win, do you mean the division? The American League pennant? The World Series? What do you think? Now, win the division. Win the division. I think they'll go far in the playoffs. All right. That's a bull take by you. That's why you're a legend right there. Bull takes like that. And now, the rumor mill, LeBron. I want to get your thoughts here. That next year, he's going to go back to the calves. Do you support that? Or do you not support LeBron going back to the calves, Dick? All right. I support. All right. Send that out, Cop. Dick and Dayton has given the rubber stamp of approval. LeBron back to the calves, developing hot dot, dot, dot. So there is that. All right. Oh, very well. I'm good to hear from you. Any gigs coming up. I'm going. Yeah. I'm going up to Debbie called me from the little dulcimer group. And it's like a great track. And we always knew the world best can involve. Oh, the wall. It's great. I cannot wait. And now, when we have this meet and greet, you got to bring a musical instrument.

10Okay. You're going to have to prefer whether it's a ukulele or a, I don't know, whatever you want. Do you, surprises? All right. Thank you, Dick. I got to go. Bye-bye. Plus Dick and Dayton. So this Michael Jordan conspiracy 2.0. The original conspiracy, you know, years ago, when Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls, if you're too young, Jordan missed an entire year of his NBA career. And the, the theory was the conspiracy theory. At the time he wasn't played for the Birmingham barons. I double-lay affiliate of Chicago White library at that time. The theory was that Jordan was actually shadow band by David Stern, the commissioner of the NBA, because he had been gambling and gotten in some really, you know, some deep, dark places. This is juicy. At casinos. And so they, he was the biggest thing in sports in the 90s, and he missed an entire year because the theory was, he was suspended. Now they never admitted to it. Obviously it was

13under the table. And all I said, well, now there's another conspiracy about Michael Jordan, the, the conspiracy theorists, 10 foil hat crowd believe that, now Jordan's won the last three races. And there are some NASCAR officianatos that smell something funny that they think this is all related to Michael Jordan's race team. They went to court against NASCAR. There was an anti-trust lawsuit against the company. And that this was like somehow part of the deal, like they Jordan, you know, did well in court. And then part of the deal was, okay, we're going to let you and your driver Tyler Reddick win a bunch of races in a row. Now the NASCAR community has circled around, say, well, that's bull crap. I saw Kenny Wallace, bugging it, bugging it, bugging it. Kenny Wallace, defending Michael Jordan and Tyler Reddick from the conspiracy crowd, although of all the sports NASCAR would be the one. If you get somebody

20that inspects the car to look the other way, that you could really mess with the car. Like, you could really add the turbo button, you know, if you really have thoughts around with it, that would be the one you could mess around. But Joe Jordan three, was it three weeks in a row now that Jordan's team is one in NASCAR? Then, all right, let's go back to the phones. Let's see here. Let's say hello to any, meany, mindy, most sponge bob is up next. Hello, sponge bob. Oh, that's what I said. Oh, okay, they can't look doing my hilarious games and pressure. Oh, that's so good. You fooled me, sponge bob. Oh, man, it's a sleeping sponge bob. That's wild. Sometimes when I'm on hold, I'm usually don't have to wait on hold very long because poop lights me. So I just want to say, I've heard Marcel and Brooklyn say that I'm a bad caller. Why would he say that? I don't have any enemies with him. Yeah. He's not online. I don't know. He calls tomorrow. He's on payroll for three days

23a week. So he doesn't call on Tuesdays. Yeah, three days a week. But what do I ever do to him? He makes Patrick Star look like a genius at times. Yeah. The rumor I heard, and I can't confirm this, but the sources tell me that Marcel grew up a fan of Barney the Dinosaur. That's why he's upset with you. He likes Barney the Dinosaur more and he flashes back to that. Barney the Dinosaur? Yeah. Oh, I see. Isn't he stink now? I think so. I think so. But Marcel's, you know, Marcel's older. You know, he's older than that. Well, you know, my, my, I mean, I could see, is he like nervous that I'm going to be caller of the year? What is caller of the year? What is the Betty Awards? Well, the Betty Awards are coming up a not this Sunday in the Monday, but the following Sunday in the Monday. So we're, how can I vote? How can I vote? Well, I'm glad you brought up. So there will be an online vote. We've had the thing, believe it or not, this is how pathetic the world is. There were people that hacked into the Bany Awards years ago. So we had to go. It's still online,

23but it's a, it's a special website you have to go to to vote. So how do people hack it? I don't know how they hack. They rigged it. Just like when I had people vote for my favorite NFL team and you idiots rigged it. So I had to be a Jacksonville fan, a Browns fan, a Jets fan, and we said screw that. And that was it. So, all right. Well, listen, SpongeBob, a good luck, SpongeBob. Thank you. So, all right. I'm going to start my day by score out a little tree, step on on this. Have a great day, baby. All right. There you go. There's SpongeBob, where he goes. Only he goes. We go from SpongeBob in the cartoon world to Jeff in Calgary. What's going on, Jeff? Welcome. Hey, Ben, thank you very much. I love your show. It's awesome. Yeah, way up here. Yeah, we're up here. Well, now I actually, I want to get to Calgary. I don't know if I'm going to get to this year, but there's a beautiful, and you know where this is about an hour. I think it's an hour outside of Calgary. There's the lake and the mountains and all that.

23What's the, what's that? Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, that's, that's where I was thinking. Yeah, beautiful. You're not talking a lot about the sea hawks. You know, they're my team. They've been my team for, I'd say about 35 years now. 35 years. Now, you sound like you're from Canada. So why did you pick the sea hawks? Because that's like Seattle's kind of like Southern Canada, right? Well, when you're in Canada, and you only have Fox 22 when you're growing up as a kid, you know, you put it on Spokane and there they are. Oh, okay. I just wanted your thoughts on the sea hawks. So what do you think? Well, I mean, this is a great take. We did talk about the sea hawks when the Super Bowl was going on like after the the Super Bowl. Well, that was a nice, obviously, when the Super Bowl, the defense played great, and all that stuff was fine. And you know, this classic podcast monologues and all that. Now,

25you could become a regular caller, Jeff. Do you want advice from blind Scott? How to be a regular caller? But what I am also saying is one thing about football is play defense and run and run the football. And you know what? Yeah. No seem to win when you do that. No one else has had any. Lorraine, did you know that? Lorraine? Did you ever? You never knew that? No. Play defense and run. And then Lorraine is like, gosh, she is gone. Absolutely flabbergast. Right? Coops. Coops. He's writing that down right now. Coops. I wait a minute here. You tell me you played defense. You run the ball. It's unbelievable. It's amazing. You should be on TV doing commentary there, Jeff. You're so amazing. All right. But thank you. Thank you. Thank you for listening, Jeff. I appreciate it. But I thank you. All right. Be good. There's a Jeff and Coagery there. Checking in. All right. Tyler is in Maine. And we are moments away from sight the bite. The great sports radio mystery. Hello, Tyler. Welcome. Good morning. Good morning.

30Good morning. What's going on, Tyler? All right. Just wanted to get your opinion on the return of Tatum and the Celtics. I mean, you can't top five. You can't bring, you know, not bring them back. But the way Mizzoula has this keen claim right now with the defense and the aggressiveness. It's it's different from from years prior. I mean, they're still shooting. Well, well, there's no question. You bring him back. He's one of the top players in the NBA. Why would this? I don't understand why this is even a question. Like, what did you just figure out? No, I don't know. But there's going to be there will be there will obviously be some some adjustment. They'll probably lose again. They shouldn't lose the Celtics. And then they'll figure it out. But I and I'm not ripping you. I'm just saying I've read some stuff online. We're like, all Tatum's going to screw up the Celtics. I mean, come on. They I watched the game last night against the box. And they played a bunch of guys I've never heard of. Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Shireman. I don't even know who these guys are. And they kicked the the ass of the box.

32So they'll be fine. Like I said, you've been taught by talent. You can't not bring them back. I just I wonder is the system going to look the same? Same when he comes back. Is there going to be? Yeah. Well, why would why would it be better? Well, it should be better. Shouldn't it be better? Yeah, it should be better. You're adding a better player. So there you go. All right, listen, no, no need to stress about that, Tyler. No need to stress. Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. All right. It is the Ben Mallor Show. And we are going to have site the bite. The great sports radio mystery site. The bite. If you're on hold, you want to be one of my judges. Stay right there. Do not hang up. We are going to have site.
