Keep up, it's playoffs. Tune in Tuesday, March 17th at 6.30pm and 9pm only on ESPN and the ESPN app. This is the TPH Rowan in Rothenburg podcast. Let the wild rump is begin! Listen live weekday mornings from 6.10am on 880 ESPN in New York, the ESPN New York app and on YouTube by subscribing to the ESPN New York YouTube channel. This is TPH Rowan in Rothenburg. Mel Piper! Mel, you know what I do when I miss you? I actually keep a fat free whipped cream in the refrigerator as like, you know who I miss? Mel, I walk over that refrigerator, I squirt that whipped cream right my mom. I got crumb cake, pumpkin pie, brownies, it goes with anything. Just use them alone, it's up to stand alone if you want it that way as well. You've eaten balls of whipped cream in the past though?
Oh god yeah. Yeah. This is TPH Rowan in Rothenburg. I love that. On ESPN New York. Extreme live on YouTube. Nice Raymond, well done, could you imagine this guy? What an animal. He's eaten balls of whipped cream. He loves it. Tell, come on, that is, that is strange. I mean you go to a big or a lose, you have the slog, don't you? Do I, no? I mean I'll put the slog on, something I'm not able to do. You need the slog? I have a little bowl of slog. How about this now? How about this? What? My mother-in-law's birthday. March 15th. Yep. I'll be in Florida. They're all going out without me. How about that? What are you bringing to the table anyway? Are you kidding me? Stop. I'm fun, I'm entertaining, I bring levity, I bring great stories, I bring a lot. Are you that upset? Yes, I love looogers. Oh, they're going to looogers, you didn't say they're going to looogers. Yeah, they're going to looogers without me.
Oh, that's tough. Yeah. Oof. Are you going, you know, Sherry gonna be with you or no? So Alex has school, can't live him for a week, so I'm going for four days and when I come back, she's going for the remaining four days. Okay, so they're gonna sneak the looogers in when Sherry's looogers is gonna be snuck in when I'm away, not when Sherry's away, yeah. Is this a long island looogers? Yep. Or maybe I swing by. You should. They'd have to see you. I've done some, I'm a journalist, we all know that, and I just, we know it's my job. So I've done some investigative investigative work for us, turns out, okay, Nanagini in this gentleman, also 96 years old, are not, you know, they're not, no. The relationship has not been consummated. Well, here's the thing, and this was mentioned on the phone call, because of hips, not because of hips or any prosthesis, apparently he has his own, got a side piece for that.
Wait, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, really, oh, yeah. So this guy, this really man that's, that's figured out the meaning of life here, is having a side piece for that, and then a, like, a relationship that doesn't incorporate that over on the side. Yep. It's got the sexual relationship and the emotional relationship, yeah. Wow, that's all the fun stuff you find out, you know, wow, oh, yeah, this guy's, I guess in some ways he's living the dream, right, and Nanagini's okay with it, she's fine. Well, listen, I, that's not what I would choose, I don't think is what you would choose, but if, if all adults involved in this, certainly our adults are signing off on this, then everyone wins. Yeah, I guess so. Email from Clay, he says, you tell that little nugget RJ that these emails better stay, not that you'll ever read mine, you diaper, he likes the emails, he calls you a diaper guy coming
back. I don't know if this is the diaper guy or this is one of the diaper guys, but he's angry at both RJ and me, RJ, people that I like that you tried to kill the emails, I didn't try to kill them. I just, yeah, you did. I took inventory of where we're at, because here's the thing. I, I think the emails are entertaining, but they cause real damage sometimes. You know what? If somebody's feelings being hurt is part of the process, then that's what has to happen, but it's, there's feelings being hurt and then there's outrageous attacks. It's not seen some of those emails, yeah, it's not typically somebody, it's like some buddies or it's like somebody ever, you know, a few weeks, well, too bad. That's what happens. And what you've done here is you've encouraged it. You want people to know that. No, that's not true. I want people to be themselves. If being yourself means that you take nasty shots at someone on the show, then that's what you do. If being yourself, as you say, really complimentary, nice, loving things, then so be that. Whatever it is, I'm here for it and Rick is here for it. And you tried to kill it, RJ. I did not try to kill it.
I just took inventory of where we're at. I had Rick said we should get rid of the emails altogether. You don't think that would have been a groundswell to get rid of them? I'm not sure. That was the point of the question. Let's see where we're at. I'm not sure I believe that. Rick doesn't see it as a problem, so we move forward. There was not your finest moment. I mean, it wasn't man-making love to a dead animal moment, but it was not your finest moment. I don't think love was mentioned, by the way. Well, whatever it was, it was disgusting and probably shouldn't have been written. I think what RJ's done now is going to end up backfiring on him, though. I think people are going to start attacking RJ. Exactly right. Yeah. As you've seen already. Aaron Judge was on Mac if the yesterday. He was asked about the importance of this Team USA baseball. Is there a difference between being captain of Team USA? And I'm just telling you one thing before we've even played this. I haven't heard the sound. If he somehow says it's right there, equally important or Team USA is more important. Captain of the Yankees, Yankees fans will lose their minds.
You can roll your eyes. I mean, why though? Because they will. But why are we pretending like that if you weren't Aaron Judge and you were named Captain of the US team, it wouldn't mean just as much as being captain of the Yankees. RJ, and I know you've heard it, so it's really not fair, but if he says being Team USA captain matters more than being captain of the Yankees, would that not annoy you? Maybe a little. It's Captain of the nation's team. I'm just telling you, I know the Yankees fan. They would be very upset. Anyhow, let's take a listen. Is there a difference between being captain of Team USA and the Yankees? For me, it's going to stay the same. I've got a chance to play for the best franchise in all sports with the Yankees. The guys that come in and out of those doors are some of the best of the best. MVP, PSY Young winners, everything. Same with this room. PSY Young winners, World Series champs, MVP's. My job's the same. I've got to get the best out of everybody in that room. How I can help you elevate your game, anything I can do if the talk, if it's us sitting in the cage, us talking on the field, whatever I got to do to elevate your game to help us win, that's what I'm going to do. So it doesn't matter if you're from Cincinnati, the Dodgers, Miami, whatever I got to do to help
you be your best for the next two or three weeks, like I'm going to do it. So a couple things. A, I think Yankees fans will not love that, that he looks at that and says, no, no, it's the same. And B, he sounds like a great, a great leader. Hey, didn't say it was the same, but he said he's going to approach it the same. Yeah, that's, that's, that's completely different. There's a different answers. He didn't, he didn't say which means more to me, just said his approach is going to be the same. And by the way, if Yankees fans does get mad at that, that, that one of those Yankees fans that just wants to be mad, why don't you get to answer that question any better? That's a great answer. I was going to say, if you let me finish my thought, well, no, but you put words in his mouth before you finished your thought. I put words in his mouth. I miss her what he said then. Put words in his mouth. What's he going to say is he sounds like the absolute perfect captain of any team, whatever I can do to help you be the best version of you. I mean, it's exactly what you want to hear from a captain. What? He's a unicorn, man. Seriously? Unicorn. And they almost lost him. Right. But like, I mean, he's saying, you're paying him $40 million, which is an unbelievable bargain
right now. Mm-hmm. Do you understand how hard it is to be the player that Aaron Judge is and also have the ability to give other people your time mentally and physically? No. Like that's every coach is that that's every coach is perfect storm. Right. So you worry about him none as far as off the off the field concern. Nope. You worry about him none as far as a locker room leader. You worry about him none as far as producing on the field day in and day out. You're right. I mean, he really is like the unicorn. He's the perfect embodiment of a leader and a player that you could possibly want in any sport. I he is every coaches dream that the best that the best player on the team, the best player in the sport is also willing to take on that leadership role where he's not just like a lead by example guy. He leads by example. If you need to hit in the cage with him, he's like, he is concerned about you being your
best. The quote that he uses is so uplifting, and I'm not even a Yankees fan, but you hear it. You want to root for this guy. I need to bring out the best in everyone like I need to figure out how if you're Miami or Cincinnati, wherever you're from to make you the best version of yourself. So he's got to worry about facing the best pictures in the world, and he'll succeed at a very high level because he's just that great. And oh, by the way, I have to figure out a way to make everybody the best version of themselves also. Yeah. I mean, God bless him. It's, it's, it's why, it's why he is who he is. And he does, he makes it hard. As much as I hate the Yankees, I, I root for Aaron judge. I do. I don't know how you couldn't, ah, he's an easy guy to root for. He does all the right things. I mean, he plays, he plays hard every time he's on the field. He's awesome. He's a great leader. I mean, he's a great face to your franchise. He's a great face to the, I mean, he's a great face to the sport. He's a freak show athlete. Right. I mean, it's, he's got everything and, and he's like abnormally enormous that you're drawn to him. Like he, you're right. He has absolutely everything.
So I, again, I mean, I think as far as I'm concerned, it, I'll actually be aggravated. If we got a call from a Yankee fan that's upset about that answer, I don't, like, I wasn't expecting, here's the thing. I wasn't expecting anything less from him. I wasn't expecting an answer that would be so just like moving though. Well, but that's, I mean, again, you can't fake it. Right? I mean, there are, like, you can't fake being that kind of leader guy. See right through that. Like, that's, like, that's genuinely how he feels. Yeah. I mean, and that's why he's so likable. That's, that's why even someone that to test the Yankee's like me, I can hear that and be like, man, I wish I had this guy in my team. Right. Like, I mean, I'm a player. That I'm like, if you hurt Bryce Harper the other day, talk about it. They asked him. I think it was on, it was on McAfee, too. It's like, I couldn't wait to have like, there's only one, there's only one choice for Captain. It's Aaron judge and I can't wait to share a club also with him. Like that's, that's how he's viewed around the, yeah, around, like, and all that being said, if he doesn't wind up winning a world series, Yankee fans will, we'll crush him. I Yankee fans will not put him into the character to be the mantle, the Maris, the Ruth,
the Demagio, the Ford, the Berra, because he's not able to win. Mind you, I would say probably the least impact you have in any of the major sports is probably baseball. Yeah. I would agree with that. I mean, not, not football quarterback maybe is up there, too, right? Quarterback is, is vitally important. Well, but that's why the quarterback wins, that, that's why the quarterback wears the wins and the losses. Right. And, and gets paid. No one talks about it. Right. That's not, you're not, like, you're not going to take Barry Sanders off the list of great. No, no one says, well, Joe Thomas was one of the great left tackles in football history, but the guy never did anything, right? Right. So it's, I mean, it's the quarterback in the NFL is the quarterback in the coach, basketball you play both sides of the ball. So it's the best player. I mean, the best player is going to wear that and then basketball, it's, it's minute, right? The amount of players you have is, it's nothing. It's right. Right. You're one of five. Right. Baseball, you're one of nine. So you get up, like a little more than 10% of the time, 11% of the time. Well, you know, how many plays you're going to make in a game?
If you're highly impactful, defensive, you're going to make what, five plays and offensive of you're going to be involved, five, five, that bet. Maybe. So I mean, I think that, and again, I keep going back to this because it actually frustrated me when I heard people try to explain what Aaron Judge was saying, like the whole idea of the way he was asked the question about Cody Belinger and he's like, well, no, no, he's, no, he's happy because they got Cody Belinger back and he believes in this team. That's not, that's not what he said. Yes, he's happy that Cody Belinger is back, but he thought it was going to be Cody Belinger and he want to train Christian back and he wanted the team to come back, but he wanted to add to it because I don't think there's a lot of people that thought watching that Yankee's team at the end of last season, even with all the additions of the trade deadline, when they played Toronto and got killed, thought they were good enough to win a championship. It would be a real shame if they never helped him get a title. Like I don't care if you have to trade, you know, Spencer Jones or the Minges or who's going to help me over the next, who's going to help me over the next three years?
Yeah, you have a small window now. He's going to be 34 years old in a couple of months, a couple of months. Not to mention the fact that baseball may miss time next year. I think it's more than they might feel like you could burn through, I mean, you can have burned through half of another year of his, of his best baseball. Right. And what would you say realistically three, maybe four if you're lucky? Maybe, yeah, I mean, maybe I don't know. And then they didn't do every single thing in their power to try to win a World Series with this guy and for this guy. Well, you know what they'll say to though, they'll go back to how he played when they got to the World Series. Well, it's his own fault. They had one soda. They got there, please. They weren't, they weren't as good as the Dodgers. They lost in five games. I got to think at a quiet moment like when he's had, we don't blame, we don't blame the manager of the decisions though, right? In game one, we're just going to blame judge for not getting it done. Well, right. But that's again, I mean, that's, that's who's going to, that's who's going to bear the brunt of this. Not winning is going to be him. Farer unfair.
That's, which is totally, but it goes back to the quarterback, right? It goes back to the dominant NBA player. They're always going to get the blame. Well, even like you heard the question, the other day to make David, right? It's just to get the question was, was preferences? Yeah, Gretsky did it. Messy, I did it. All these guys did it. How can you can't do it? Right. Champions is fine. Great players. How can we haven't found one yet? Oh, I don't know because I'm up against, I mean, look at my team, look at my goalie and I'm going against the, the Panthers every year. By the way, it's not like he, he got bouncing in four games. He went to a game seven of the Stanley Cup Final. Yeah. Oh, by the way, I won the cons smith on a losing team. Jack wagons. Yeah, that's, that's rough. Let's go to, um, you know what? Let's, is it Nas RJ? Is that he said the name? That's correct. Nas in Pinebrook. It's her birthday. Happy birthday, Nas. Thank you, James. Hold on, I gotta take you off speaker fold. Okay. Since it's your birthday, we won't yell at you for that. But I'm sure RJ told you no speaker. He did, but I'm in the car. Just kind of a CT scan, so I'm just in the car. Um, anyway, I'm, well, yeah, well, I don't know yet.
I'm hoping that everything works out good. It's my birthday, so I hope it's going to be fine. Good, it's going to be great. So I'm calling because, um, it's my birthday and for my birthday, I wanted to maybe show appreciation for everything that brings me joy. And you guys, I, I wake up in the morning with you every day. And, um, I have a birthday. I have to have two, actually. Um, one is for you guys to pay the pew-pews for me because I want to record them and make them my text message. Okay. When people, um, call me, uh, it was, for a long time, it was the RJ, you know, when you would yell for RJ, you stopped doing that. I don't know. You left it away with him, right? Well, you know what it is. He's too quick now. Like, when I, when I, my first RJ, I don't have, I don't have time. He's, he responds so quickly. I don't have time to get a second RJ out. Anything in my way. I do. Right to the side. Boom, boom, boom. Yeah, I can't tell you how many times I've been texted, like in a public space and people just look over because it's like, RJ, RJ. But I had a new phone and I lost that audio. And now I'm obsessed with the pew-pews,
so I'm going to make that nice. All right. Well, you know, you know what we'll do when, when we say goodbye to you, start to record like 30 seconds after and we'll have RJ go on a full tour of the pew-pews, so you have something for your phone. Is that fair? Is it birthday present to you? That sounds fair. And then I have another ask. So I have a list of favorite, like palms to the temple sports moments. You're my spirit animal, Dave. My husband calls me the Vita sometimes because I'm obsessed with sports and I'm the only person in my house that is obsessed with sports. I watch every single thing and the only difference between your and I is that, you know, I'm Dory from Nemo and you're like a Russell Crowell from a beautiful mind and you remember everything. And one of my favorite sports moments involves Peyton Manning. And I remember seeing it. I don't remember who they were playing against, but it was forced down in the end zone and they called out the kicking team and he literally send the kicking team back to the sideline.
I had never seen anything like that before in my life where a quarterback, he literally said to our coach, no, I'm not kicking it, I'm going for it. And then he threw a touchdown pass. Do you remember that place? I don't. I wish I did. I'm sure somebody listening to those and can shoot over some information, but I don't remember that play. So they wanted to bring me feel a little unit on and he said, no, you stay off the field. I'm going to work that way. And Peyton Manning was like, no, he literally shoot them away. Yeah, I don't remember that. I was going to fight his coach and then threw to my bluer's Harrison. And I was like, I literally put my perfect, I'd never seen a quarter back to five coach like that. I mean, like, you know what? And then make the play. Yeah, it was one of the most beautiful things I ever seen. So it's on my list. Well, it's not as happy birthday. I hope you have a healthy, certainly happy, happy birthday. Give 30 seconds. Start the recording. And Ard is going to go through the full gamut of Pupues. Okay. Yay. Thank you so much. I love you guys so much. Thank you. I think you couldn't say happy birthday nods at the end there. Well, you kept talking.
I was going to say happy birthday. I mean, it's a birthday. She loves to show it again. I know she loves to show happy birthday nods. And I'm hopeful fingers crossed not going with it's a birthday that the whole CT scan turns out great. And then you know, you can be Dave spirit animal. You get nervous in the in the CT tube? CT no. No. No MRI. Well, full body MRI. Sometimes I get a little bit sketchy. Yeah, because I don't fit. I don't fit well in it. It's amazing that they haven't figured out a better way to do the MRI tube. Well, they have the open air one, but sometimes I get stuck in the closed one. Those are scary. Yeah, but then I get when I got to go head first in it. I don't like it. Head first in it is scary. And then you're, yeah, it's very, very, and then the noise. Oh, that, you know, by something in the noise, it's like when you look up and it's right there in your face. It's right there in front of you. RJ, for, for nods, can we go on a tour of the Pupues and she can report them away? Like, Pupu right to the side. Pupu, Pupu, Pupu. Pupu, Pupu, Pupu.
So, nods is a big time listener. I believe Pupu two. What's her favorite. Huh? What's Pupu two? But just in case we got them all in there. That's my favorite and then my other favorite is I like when I just rattle off That's why I said that's my second favorite No the other one the last like like the real fast That's not aggressive. Oh, there's the automatic one to that That's my second favorite It's a it's a 50 year old man This man has two children. Yeah. Yeah. No I did that so Columbus Blue Jack it's that a four goal lead and then they gave it away and then they beat the Rangers 5 for at the garden Take away from this is the Vinny Tro check discussion is heating up as a 12 team no trade list including all the teams out west So he ain't going out there did you hear what his sunset always this is I was gonna bring this up This is one of the great quotes ever. Well, you know good luck Then what we're gonna move as a family. Well, I'm not going. I got hockey. I got hockey. I didn't get traded So his son does not and that is such a good quote. Yeah, I didn't get traded you got traded I got should I have to go I have my team here. I didn't get traded. Yeah, good luck in Minnesota. Right. I'm gonna hang out here. Let me know how it is

Yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, we have What we're doing we're doing show pictures next week Oh, very nice very nice. You lost some weight. You look nice Yeah, boy, where the where the hats where the hats why not yeah, that would be nice if we were the hats So what do you got on your mind? The law baseball classic I'm Colombian You're right. They there's some teams that why are you in this thing? Chachia the countries you mentioned if you told a hundred Colombians Would you take getting embarrassed in this thing by but say there was a 10 run rule and after 10 runs you lose every game Or you get to the knockout run in the world cup A hundred out of a hundred. Don't give you that knockout, right? Of course, but of course Then they're never getting soccer is way more popular than baseball
Yeah, they're just I don't understand how they like right. How do they get these teams at least in the world cup You know, there's woke up qualifiers is there a world baseball classic qualifier there must party Yeah, I do think they have woke up qualifying We're baseball classic qualifying Uh, and before I go um, I've been burnt at an army game like sunburn and october bucket hat gave yourself a nice Big blue meal giant. I have a hat I have a bucket hat I did not realize that in February when the weather has been so miserable that in 52 degree weather I could get sunburned That happened to me in october I understand what happened to you at the army game. I did not realize it. It will not happen again All right, all right, goodbye And that's it How do great bad boys you as well, but um apparently so the qualifying round for the this year's world baseball classic was held
on um from february february 21st of march 6th 2025 Raymond did some Investigative work and he said columbia want to pull with brazil germany and china to qualify but didn't brazil make it anyway Top two make it in each pool. Oh god The other pool was nikad augwad chinese to pay and spain and south africa. Yeah That was like germany made it cannot can I bring it up an idea and I think you'll agree with me um on air Uh, yeah, I love ideas. So when we do pictures next week I don't think it should just be me and you I think right or they should be involved in the pictures. That's up. I'd love to have them the photo At least something of the two of them even I agree some some without us and then some with us Well, I want them to use the pictures of them with us. Okay Aren't you happy in photos next week? I don't think I should be in the photos. Why people love you John just said I don't think so either We have our answer. We know. Yeah, there you go
I wish there's our answer. There's your answer. I wish they felt about you guys the way we feel about you guys. Yeah I don't like it. Well, we said John. We want you to be like oh, no, I don't promise. That's right He'd be like oh, I can do the picture better than you guys. All right, of course. I'm so great in pictures I don't want to update you in the pictures. That's John if he wants to take the pictures If he wants to take a picture we'll let you wear Disney ears in the picture will you take it John said he'll be he's going to be directing the photo shoot nice you if I'd be of RJ dressed up as mini-mouse He would oh my goodness. Why many? All right, I don't even know who you're taking a shot at me mini. It wasn't meant to be you Why couldn't you say something else though? I said mini. All right, if RJ dressed up as dumbball I bet he'd let him in the picture. Why not Mickey could have been Mickey. Yeah Well, you you used Mickey ears for for John so I was going to look different good point Be strange if they dressed up the same way Why being we won't be in the pictures great Frank's that John's obsessed with the Disney the way he's obsessed with it. You think this is just point cruise booked for next year now
I think he because he keeps telling me that these things sell out quickly He needs to be he needs to be on that list. Do you know how how many months he had this cruise that he's going on starting tomorrow booked for I a year no If more than 18 months 18 months I don't know how he does it eight And I said it's cool with your kids missing school He goes well, it's not great. I said did you not realize 18 months ago your kids would be like in actual school 18 months. That's all come on. That's all semantics. That doesn't matter. No first grade. Come on He's in it for the experience who else who else Doesn't want to be on a Disney cruise all the time That's I mean, that's who he is. It's who he is um speaking of who you are you're you're I find you to be a really good reader Wow a really good reader of of live reads type praise. Yeah, well All right, well, I don't want to let you down here. So basketball fans

Um, let's go to Steven Is it gossian or go-shan? Do you have any idea? I don't I don't go-shan go-shan. I'm told it's even go-shan. Hi, Steve Yeah, I'm the guy who saw RJ at the restaurant and kind of stalked him RJ you were stalked by Steven in go-shan. Oh Yeah, this is last year. Good guy. Hey, yes, it wasn't interesting, but go ahead. What's going on? All right, so I just got back from Mexico, uh, and I'm I was talking to some Toronto fans
Tommy Yankee fan and they obviously were busting my chops a bunch But they had this take that I thought was insane and I want your opinion on it. Mm-hmm They said that Anyone outside the New York market thinks that Aaron judge is a whiny beef Is that right? I never heard anything like that Right. Oh, why need be about what? like About getting walked too much like like Stuff like that now listen, we're in the New York market. This is just that this is for the proof of why I don't like Canada I'm with you know, you know, Steve they they are competing with Aaron judge So they don't like him, but instead of just respecting him and saying we we beat Aaron judge in the Yankees They have to take it to that. I don't I haven't heard that you were based in New York, but I haven't heard anything like that And you hate the Yankees and you respect him though, right? I love I don't respect him. I I love Aaron judge Joy, I mean if anyone in the Yankees you can say is whiny. It's boon. I will I mean I can yeah, you know what if if you ran into these people and they complain if they said I don't like the way jazz chism plays
I could get that Aaron boon being kind of a little bit whiny. I could understand that like complainy certainly But not not judge Hey, let me go. Yeah Can why don't you guys do like the Michael K show did back in the day drop madness your drops are because they they they can steal it from them They do it on the afternoon show well Guys your drops make people laugh out loud. It's embarrassing. I'm driving in my car laughing out loud people are like what is this idiot laughing at? That's drops in sports radio. Oh, well, thank you. Well, we can't and thanks to the call. We can't just steal their their thing Yeah, that's their things right and we want that as RJ brought it to them now. RJ's with us right it should travel with RJ Well, we had host sadness, but we heard too many feelings. We can't do host sadness anymore That's really the problem who do we know who got upset with host sadness? I think it was multiple people they what but why because people don't want to be like don't want to realize or don't want to have
Have the fact that people don't like them is thrown in their face People don't like them. It's a people like other people more than them Which is sometimes a tough pill to swallow. I guess. I thought it was highly enjoyable. I liked it Did you guys happen to see the Hillary night and the Hughes brothers on Fallon? No, get a chance to see that at all. No I just as I was watching the clip this morning and it gave me it gave me goose bumps So they did the whole spiel about you know Jack losing his tooth and maybe this should be his thing and all of that So then Fallon pulls out a letter The Jack wrote to himself like you know, whether do that that exercise like write a letter to your Well, how did Fallon get the letter? I don't know how he got it, but he read it So like Jack didn't even know Jack didn't remember it. So he reads the letter and it's about You know, remember the winners that's where it all started and then you know the effect your brothers had on your life And hopefully I had the similar effect. I hope they have great NHL careers And maybe one day we play on the same team together even better Maybe we play on the Olympics together and on the the Olympic team together in where the gold medal
Wow, as Quinn is the next goal. He was when he wrote that letter. I probably I'm assuming like bright Maybe like as he was getting drafted. Maybe. Okay. All right. So it's not you know, it'd be cool if he was like seven It's right, but I think it was it was probably like listening to it was probably when he got drafted like a writer letter to your You know, you're yourself now as yourself. Yeah, right But how awesome is that sitting next to your brother after you just scored the game winning goal in the in the gold medal game It's amazing. It really is nothing short of amazing. Let's get to Joe and Ocean gate Joe. Hey, how you doing buddy Morning fellas. How are you today good good good Dave? So why you know you're not alone with the whole sunburn thing I went skiing uh for the first time back and I was in high school and it was a seasonable warm day So there was no goggles needed nothing. I think that phrase would be the next seasonably warm not seasonably warm Well, it was I aren't there. You're right. That's why you're the best days unseasonably warm and uh they called me red lobster I was literally fried and everybody else's, you know, pasty white from being a middle of winter um
So the giants and the draft and stuff uh, I'm the I'm a huge fan of sunny styles too. I think he he would be fantastic I mean anyone really that you know loves football. I think I mean are I'm trying not to put expectations Because it's so hard so hard to not have expectations with the with now having you know harbor but To have expectations also means that you could be disappointed too. So um, I just I just Want them to pick you know the best overall player and not really worry about you know um Position because they kind of need help everywhere. All right, so but go here's something that I'm confused with on the screen It says can't you have love at five habit if they determine love to be the best player at five Well now he's gone Like it kind of feels counterintuitive. He says you can't draft love at five and then he comes on the air and he says I just want to take the best player. Well, but if you get the best player right Yeah, I mean I think it's just it's the sake of embarking thing I think it's just you've been down that road before
With the running back and and if if I need like a finishing piece like my defense was really good And my line was good and my receivers and dart and it was like okay This will get them over the top and they could be a championship contending team I could be talked into it. I don't think they're that close to where they need to get to no I know but you're also talking about a team that you think that's going to win a soup bowl in the next five years five years Yeah, right. So I mean he'll like you're getting the best out of him It's not like you're like you're drafting him now and then you don't think you'd be ready to win a soup bowl for seven years Well, my my mindset is the coach quarterback combination is the most important duo in sports And I think the giants have that right now right and it's also it's also trying to get the best out of your quarterback Sure So if you think that's a combination of Kenneth Walker and scataboo and Tyrone Tracy or if you think that Jeremiah You know Jeremiah love is just one of those like just different level kind of players that I can use to run the ball to you know to throw the ball to like Like he's you got to take a great player because you need great players But you should get a great player regardless right and I think I was just reading an article at in in the break
I think Connor Hughes was saying like It's no secret that the giants love sunny styles good I'm glad because that's who I want them to take Raymond hi bring you in with all sunny styles conversation. Yeah, sure. Why not you could wind up being a giant You know most likely yeah, that's gonna pain you isn't it makes me very unhappy good Um, are you ready with the three stars? Yeah, I guess let's go Today's three stars number three. Oh, you may not want the next emails to be around But they will be uh email from clay He says you tell that little nugget RJ that these emails better stay Not that you'll ever read mine you diaper still don't understand the diaper thing number two Rikobal madness because he's full of crap. Yeah, is that what it is. I think so probably uh Rikobal madness is still things slots open. Come see Dave. Be a ball boy. I'll scoot across That's another I'll scoot. I'll be the ball boy of the matches you play in yeah because Rick is in his head I mean you burnt up a little face head on face head rather number one.
