2:01You've ever seen locked up a broad. I have not. All right, so basically what's the story of Americans who find themselves in foreign prisons, because of silly drug offenses. Yeah, yeah, I don't know midnight run. I'm sorry. Oh, you don't know the movie, okay? No, is that what happens? Yeah, Americans are in Long Island guy. I think it's been midnight run. I'm pretty sure that's the name of it. Yeah, and he ends up in a foreign prison because midnight express is what it is. Midnight express, okay? All right, yeah, he ends up in a Turkish prison. In a Turkish prison. And it is a true story about a Long Island guy. Turkish prison, I feel like there were jokes in the movie Airplane about a Turkish prison. And I always was thought that that was like a man on man thing that was like that was the joke. Right, I love her stoned in that movie. Okay, is that am I right about that? The Turkish prisons, Turkish prison, prison. Turkish, I try, I try, I try, I try, I try, I try, I try. Turkish prison. Jokes, yeah.

3:02Joey, have you ever been in a, in a Turkish prison? See, it's unbelievable that I remember that. So like as a kid watching that, not a kid, but I don't know, 12 or whenever watching that movie. Yes, that's the first time I ever heard Turkish prison and then I was like, what is that all about? And then I came to learn that it's a place you don't want to go if you're looking to keep your button tacked. Yeah, well, I'll tell you this, this is a very dark movie, very frustrating movie. All right, well, I'm going to give you the, I'm going to move away from the Turkish part of this. Okay. But this is actually it's a serious story. It's a sad story and there's a guy, Jared, Jared Shaw, who is locked up in an Indonesian prison. Jared Shaw played college basketball at Oklahoma State and Utah State and he started playing overseas, which a lot of these guys do who don't make it to the NBA. So he had played in Tunisia, Lebanon, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Japan.

4:10So he was on, he was a key member, he's 35 now, of the Prawera bang dong team, who won the Indonesian basketball league in 2023. He's playing an Indonesian, he's having success. He's a champ. So he's got Crohn's disease, okay. And he says that one of the things that helps him with his Crohn's disease are weed gummies. So, you know, and people, it's a Brittany Griner situation. It's worse, I think. Yeah, okay. I think this is worse now. So he's got the weed gummies and he orders, well, what he did was he ordered a package of 132 cannabis gummies to be delivered to his apartment in Indonesia. I am, where were these gummies coming from? Well, somewhere where the government knew about it because they tracked it and he got arrested in May of 2025.

5:12And he has been in this prison ever since and he actually was facing the death penalty. Now, they finally dropped that like the US got involved in a way where they were able to drop the death penalty somehow, but he's still in the prison and it's all because of the 132 gummies because Indonesia has some of the harshest drug laws in the world. And I'm reading from the Guardian right now. So it says Indonesia, some of the harshest drug laws in the world, cannabis is categorized alongside heroin and methamphetamine and Indonesia. Despite its legislation for medical and recreational use across swaths of North America and Europe. So he could have been given the death penalty for $400 worth of drugs. And the country carried out executions by firing squad for drug offenses as recently as 2016.

6:12Well, this is probably why they tell you when you go and play in one of these countries, you better understand the laws when you're there and do not break them. Yep, there is that. I mean, I don't know where is that. I mean, I would think that I'm glad the US government did get involved, but you know, I guess you could you could pressure them to release him in some way. Yeah, I get him out of there. I mean, he's yeah, I guess they got him moved to a better prison because he was in a better prison. Is there such thing as a better prison? Well, I don't know. So I'm not an expert on that. We do have experts running around here. You can ask them. But he was in a cell with 12 other guys. And now he's in a cell with six guys. So they were able to get him into a little bit of a better cell. But he's still sitting in there. He's talking to people. He's on the phone. He's trying to get his word out there and everything else. Of course, I'm sure I would imagine that there's a consulate over there trying to help get him out of there.

7:14I always think about like the gummy thing like, you know, you're dog talk about all time. Took a couple gummies and I've watched the lakeers, you know, and then just like a joke, this guy gets these gummies and he might get shot to death by a firing squad. It's amazing. What goes on in other countries? Yes, I would think that Singapore known for very, very strong anti-drug laws. Singapore? I believe. Yeah. But again, when you travel, you know, to foreign countries, you got to you got to be aware of what the hell you get. He was living there. Well, the other thing should be somebody on that basketball program or team should have told them. Yeah. Like, what are you doing? He had to know. It's just a bad, unless somebody else had been doing it and said, hey, I've been doing this. You can do it this way. Yeah, order them to your house or something. This way is safe. And here comes the Indonesian police ripping them out of his apartment complex and throwing them in jail. No job is no joke. Yeah. No, I know.

8:14Imagine if dog got thrown in any Indonesian prison because he had his gummies. They would release him immediately. There's no way that they would keep him in that prison. No way. He might want to go to a Turkish prison. No, look at him. Where's Cox? It's not a Turkish bath. It's a Turkish prison. God. What was the line again? Was it Johnny? Was little Johnny? Who was up in the cockpit? Hey, Johnny. I've been to a Turkish prison. I mean, that, that movie, because I guess I used to watch a ton of comedy central. Okay. But that movie airplane really like taught me about comedic things that I didn't know about early on. And I'm so happy that I found that movie when I did because it was just hilarious. I didn't quite understand all of it. But then as I got older, I understood all of it. But what a phenomenal stupid, but just phenomenal comedy movie.

9:14That's why for me, Tropic Thunder. Well, yeah. Is every scene. It's a laugh out loud scene. Unbelievable movie. Absolutely. Have you ever been in a cockpit before? No, sir. I've never been up in a plane before. Have you ever seen a grown man naked? Johnny. Have you ever hang around the gymnasium? Johnny. You like movies about gladiators? Oh my god. It's just horrible, but it's so funny. Yes, of course, Tropic Thunder. You know, I heard Gordon Damors. I was driving and he was talking about the Oscars and how the movie business is just horrendous these days. And if you look, he's right, if you look back like 30 years ago at the best picture nominees, everybody knew all those movies. Like it was, you know, a few good men, you know, forest gump, like all these movies

10:17that were nominated. People knew and watched. And now, if I read you off the movies, you wouldn't even know what they are. You wouldn't know any of them. What happened? Back in my day. There you go. 2020 happened. So what do you mean? Like COVID happened? I know. And it changed. It changed a lot of the way things were. There was a normal way of doing things. And then 2020 hit. And then a lot of other things started so creatively. Everybody got sucky. I did. Well, it's not just that. I just think there was, there was a line drawn. And I think there was woke and the unwoke, you know, the, the whole disparity between the country basically took place over those four years. I mean, but there's still, but there's always been. And now, Officer, you have Netflix and you obviously have Prime Video, you have Apple TV and Apple movies. I mean, you have your own way of doing it at home and watching it whenever you want to watch it. But that doesn't, yeah, it used to be like, Hey, I want to go to the movies. I would take Gunner to the movies all the time

11:19over there in Westbury. But that's a different conversation. What I'm, of course, that's a totally different thing. I'm talking about just the things that are out there and watch. Yes. Like that's, that's why are they so bad? Like it's just why is that happened? It's also not as, as creative as we used to be. I would say there's also an enormous amount of consolidation going on. Yeah. Train dreams. Hear that? Uh, no. Sentimental value. No. The secret agent. No. One battle after another. What are you reading me? I mean, the picture. I haven't seen any of these. Have you ever heard of any of them? I really haven't. I've been a little bit out of touch in that regard. Yeah. But this is my point. I think this is what Gordon Damon was saying. Marty Supreme. Yes. I saw that. You did. Did you like it? Yes. I did. Okay. All right. Hamnet. Is it Timothy Shammel? Is Marty Supreme, right? I think I have not seen the movie. You saw the movie. Yeah. 12:20Frankenstein. There's a Frankenstein movie. Then anybody know that there was a Frankenstein movie? I did. You did? Yes. Did you see it? No. F1 got nominated. So F1. I saw F1 on the plane down to the St. Thomas. That's the thing. Like you see it in other eras. I didn't go to the movies and see it. No, but that, yeah, that, that we know. I'm talking about the quality of these movies and like how everybody knew what the movies were. Yeah, but I used to love going to the movies. Bagonia. You ever, you ever hear Bagonia? No. Bagonia is also nominated. Yeah. I remember when I first started air was so into the movies, we talked about the Oscars and stuff. I used to be into it. Now we're talking about golf. Yeah, we do. And YouTube golf. That's right. Things change. You got some set, it's a subset, some stack subset, subset of golf. Like so we got the PGA tour, of course, got all the majors and then all of a sudden you got YouTube golf. Yeah. Yeah. I saw a video yesterday where Grant Horvett put on a blindfold and tried to beat Robbie Berger

13:25and actually did with wearing a blindfold. Do you think every shot, every shot? Wow. No, I couldn't do it. Grant's like a plus two or something. Plus three or four. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But could you beat me blindfold? No. See, I think it could. So I'm not making the declaration that I can. I cannot beat you blindfolded. So what he would do is he would see where the ball was. Yeah. Put the blindfold on. He couldn't see anything and then he hit the ball. And he won. He was like, well, you know, listen, he is a great freaking golf. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He is. But I'm just saying there, I bet. All right. So maybe maybe you're being modest about it. Cow clutter book could beat me blindfolded. I would say yes, because he does. The Oscars in 1975 were as politically charged as probably any Oscars were ever. Right. Well, being on war, right in the middle of being on war. You had the old school and the

15:32new school. Now, the old school was Frank Sinatra, who was hosting this particular thing. Okay. Who would have known I would imagine would have been respectful and non-political and just straight. 100%. I'm not going to piss off anybody. We are here and we're going to honor the business and we're going to do this thing the right way. Yeah. So then this guy wins his filmmaker. And it's just so funny and the reason I'm laughing is because it's the same thing now as it was then. So everybody's like, oh, it's Hollywood. It's politics. It's going on for 50 years. The difference is that this is the social media era where everybody can amplify it all. I don't know how many times I got to say I understand. And then sides are drawn. Right. And you are going to take a side. But it's not, but it's not new is what I'm saying. And like then people, people paid attention and millions of people used to watch the Oscars back then. People knew it was going on when Billy Ava said that she was living on stolen land. Right. I mean, right. So that got just blown up across social media and she just got absolutely

16:36forged. But like if you think about it, though, back then, like people consumed media, it wasn't all the time on their phone. But like those things would, people would sit down, watch the news. It would be in the newspaper. People would consume it and talk about it. Not on the level that they are. They aren't. But the point, the point being is it's just not new. So this guy's calling up it's all because of the politics. That stuff's been going on forever. But that's not going to movies because of the politics. But that guy probably didn't watch the Oscars back then. Didn't really care and took his girlfriend to the movies and love to go there and be entertained by good movies. Yeah. And didn't even realize what was in those movies. Just was entertained by the movies. Now with social media and people pointing out the messages within the movies, basically has turned, I don't know, I don't know what the percentages would be. I'm sure they're pretty large against the movie industry and against Hollywood and against the the woke, you know, liberal is at that's what I think has happened. So anyway, so back to this

17:361975 Academy Awards. This guy wins best documentary with something that was going on in Vietnam and he like reads a message from the Vietnamese people or something whatever it was. It was just he was getting political with the whole thing and basically saying, you know, it was anti-war sentiment up on the stage, right? So then Sinatra loses his crap, right? So he ends up going after the guy and back and he's like demanding that the guy apologizes as it comes out and retracts and the guy's like, he's not doing any scurries away, whatever. So then Sinatra demands a statement from the Academy denouncing what the guy said. So he gets that and he comes out, you know, we're talking, this is gray haired Frank Sinatra, you know, and he's like, the Academy gave me this statement and it says that there will be no political talk at the Oscars. We do not agree or condone what people have said. So he reads the whole thing

18:37about it and he's like, we are here to honor the industry. So then and then it became this whole big thing with I'm sure. So it's just so I'm not disagreeing what you're saying. But yeah, but what I'm just trying to add a little bit of context of the fact that even though it might be new to some people that politics have been in Hollywood in the movies, that you can go back 50 years ago and see a very similar storyline. And maybe it's not talked about as much or whatever you want to say, but it was still there. It may have been talked about at the kitchen table. It may have been talked about at the office core. That was a big thing, you know, what was what was discussed at the office core amongst the people working at business, but they had no way of reaching someone halfway around the world or immediately about something. No, I know that I have and you know, and obviously you know this and I know this, but you know, how much of social media is just, you know, bots, bots. Yeah, a lot of bots out there, man. How many people, like, especially now when you're

19:41in the midst of a war, but AI bots, oh my God. Feeding your son stop feeding your stuff all day long. Those AI bots, Trump, change your mind. Got to be careful. Yep. Got to watch what you're consuming. Yeah, but again, to go back to your point, it's now everybody is connected through that phone, through their iPads, through their computers. And everybody has an point of view. Everybody has an opinion. Yeah. And it's almost like when you watch whatever you're watching is like, it makes you want to take a side. There was also in that controversy of that Oscars. I guess Dustin Hoffman, who was nominated for something is like, oh, it's just this whole display of what we do and give each other awards. It's just so gross and just over the top. And that pissed off Sinatra too. To him like his initial like when he went out there is like, this is not gross. They're honoring each other. It's like Ricky Trevace. And those who don't like it, it was just, I mean, and I'm saying, I could not get enough of this because I'm like, my God, this history

20:42repeat itself. It does. And it's like, it's the, I'm watching the same thing happen 50 years ago. How many, how many people are on X? Any idea? I would count 100, 500 million. Counting bots? I'm counting everything. I'm counting every address on X. How many X? How many X accounts? It says approximately 557 million. Okay. Yeah. So that people are out of a billion other planet. But still, I mean, that, that's an enormous number. You know, and I guess you could break it down by country. I'm assuming if you wanted to and use the internet for that, if you'd like. Okay. 21:44You know, I've been listening and I think the difference is that the, you know, you weren't, it wasn't as socially out there and and the you weren't deemed one name or another if you were on the far left or the far right. There was no hate speech. There was no as as much as it is out there. You know, I'm a teacher and the line I have to walk and what I say in school and how I approach a kid about a certain issue, you know, that that's the difference. You know, you don't understand what I'm saying? Yeah, listen, I, yes, I, I'm, I'm think my, and I'll take responsibility for this. I won't just point to finger and say, you're not understanding me and that's a you problem, not a me problem. All I'm, I'm not arguing the fact that today is different than 1975. What I'm saying is though, I don't know how many people understand that regardless of how we're consuming it, some of the same political issues were going on in Hollywood specifically, especially around Vietnam,

That's what I'm trying to say is that that when the caller called up and said, well, politics getting involved in Hollywood right now is the reason why we're, but we don't care about movies. I was just trying to say that, okay, well, then explain to me why 50 years ago when the movie industry was at the absolute top of its game that this stuff was happening on its biggest night. That's all I'm trying to convey. All right. I'm not trying to say that 75 in 2026 are the same thing the way people consume media. It's just that we, we tend to forget that, you know, history is just repeating itself. And now it's got different bells and whistles, but it's the same stuff. 42:35Kevin O'Connell thinks of him as how this offseason is going to play out. He had an opportunity to watch him. And by the way, he didn't he didn't go nine and eight to team went nine and eight. He missed a bunch of games because he was hurt and he couldn't stay healthy. If they bring in Kyler Murray, that means that they are absolutely done with him. And Kevin O'Connell doesn't think he's got any sort of future. It was a bad pick made by a general manager that got fired for it. So I don't think you should be giving him another chance. And you got to stop saying we when it comes to the teams. Well, I do. I kind of talk about the next a little bit like by saying we never say we never say we. All right. Well, but it is our team. It's the team we root for. Well, you're not just like the team that you root for as the Vikings. And when you're with your Viking friends, you talk about, you say we. No, I don't. And I believe that that previous caller knows that you're a Vikings fan and wants to really know what you think about what they should be doing your quarterback. Whether or not Kyler Murray should go there. Again, Kyler Murray is going to be a cheap alternative for somebody. I decided I wanted him.

43:35I want him. You want Kyler Murray. I now want him. You want him in Minnesota or do you want him in or do you think that Mike McCarthy would want him in Pittsburgh? That's a very good question. I'm not sure. The thing that the reason for I say this is because Pittsburgh went down the Russell Wilson path. And it was a very cheap. It's just like they do with Justin Fields. They had both of those guys there was relatively cheap for them at quarterback. Yeah, I could see that if Aaron Rodgers doesn't want to come back, because it seems like they're trying to do the same thing that they always do. And that's the other thing. By the way, Aaron Rodgers got to tell the Steelers, what are you doing? Because they need to make decisions too. Yeah, I mean, it's the same thing with him every single year. Aaron Rodgers dragging the thing out. But yeah, for whatever reason, I understand he's had his injury issues too. I want to see Kyler Murray. Here's the problem with Kyler Murray, the biggest problem. Okay, yeah, the injuries are there. But the biggest problem is he's going to be committed to the team.

44:39Is he going to be a leader of men? Is he going to really put the time and effort in to become that quarterback that he thinks he is? That's really what it comes down to for all of these teams. And the one thing he's got going for him is that he should be relatively cheap for whoever does acquire him. Man, Mr. Lotta Games. He did. God, he's Mr. Lotta Games. That's the biggest thing right there is the health obviously. But there are flashes there indoors. Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, the whole deal. We've talked about it. Kevin O'Connell, I think that he... I don't know. I don't see an outdoor cold weather team bringing Kyler Murray in. The problem is it's got to be an indoor team or it's got to be, you know, the team like Miami. Yeah, but the problem with this is that, you know, the Vikings will build a team that's an indoor team and then, you know, they have to play the Bears twice outside and then the Packers outside. And then they have to, in the playoffs, they go to Philadelphia, get their ass kicked, you know. I could see Miami saying, okay, Kyler Murray, that would be good for us.

45:42We'll take him for a year and a million, two million, five, whatever it is. You know, I could see Minnesota trying to do the same thing. I don't necessarily know, see the Jets doing it and the only reason the Jets would do it because of finances as opposed to anything else. If, and that's why I like, to me, the Maliqua's thing to the Cardinals make sense, just because of LaFour Brothers.
