00America leads the world in medicine development. It matters. We get new medicines first nearly three years faster. Five million Americans go to work because we make medicines here at home and not relying on other countries keeps us safe. But China is racing to overtake us. Will we let them or will we choose to stay ahead? When America leads, America cures. Let's tell Washington to keep us in the lead. Learn how at americacures.com. Pay for it by Farma. Time. You know, maybe they can go pee on each other. That'd be great. Time. There's a lot of women up there that want you, Alan. And Rosenberg. Give me the porn for God's sake. This is in North Dakota. This is the yard. This is Don. Time. And Rosenberg. The best place to might ever hurt. On ESPN, New York. It's streaming live on YouTube. Three o'clock in the big city. Don Han and Rosenberg told 630 that it's Ranger's Leafs here on ESPN, New York at a big game last night at the garden to break down.
02Michael Kaye is either calling our bluff or something, but he's still in the studio. I offered him four hours in exchange for his name being on the show for today. I didn't feel that it was my place to give him that without your consent. Wow. So I said, no, but he claims that if we call it the Michael Kaye show till 630, he'll stay the entire show. We want an extended Kaye show. But but then Don also says something very interesting. He said the one who does not want you here is Peter. You asked me. Yeah, he said, I said of the three of them. I think Peter probably doesn't want me around. He said, it's true. And I said, it's true. You don't believe that. You know it's Alan. You're trying to be the know Alan. I think Alan really likes me. I think Alan about that. It's not about that, but I think Alan has greater sensitivities to the new version of the show versus the older. No, not he. I have zero sensitivities. In fact, if Michael wants to say, I will see myself out. Like I will. Thank you. I win. Exactly. All right, my point is proof.
02So no name change. So how long do we get you for two minutes, three minutes? All right, I'll do I'll work with two or three minutes. Sure. Why not? What do you need? You usually do. Hey, Rick. So go ahead. No, I said so. Yeah. So means there's something for it. But I realized that you you kept Michael here for two or three minutes. So you're not keeping him here for me to start talking for two to three minutes. No, I may, I may, I may, I may, I don't want to discuss this. I'm just being, you could be the audience. Yeah. I made him know there was no promises made. No, it's stick around. Okay, you know the worst part about doing a show alone. You don't know if you're funny. Well, it's got to be funny alone. Put very listening. It's not, it's not, it's not good. I have no idea. You're like, you need a left track. Yeah, you need somebody. You need the control room to just like open up the key and just laugh in your ears. Ray, Ray's not a lapper. No, that's what I'm saying. I'm known Ray for 25 years. If he's laughing, then you then your truck was fine. Right. But you've probably told some funny jokes and he didn't crack a smile. And then you've got a sort of a board ops, right? It could be anybody any time, right?
02Yeah, they're not the street. They pull. So I like that. Now if you had these last, would that help? Right. If you had that as you would tell them, Joe, yeah, that would be good. Yeah, but you'd be okay with it alone because like that's why like the studio audience is so important. Yeah. When you're doing like a sitcom. Well, I think you've got to respond live and there's no audience there. Oh, no, you can't. No, people have to react. Yeah. And that's what he was going to keep the teeth cracked or is he going to get caps? Well, no, I think he'll get him fit. He's running with the brand right now, though. Right now, I think he's, he's like, I don't know if he's made a conscious decision or just like literally hasn't had the time. Have you seen Tate McCray? She was at one of the new Americans I called. But we did not see her. No, you got to get her on the broadcast. You know, that's camera. Yeah, I think Rachel saw her. Because she was down by the ice and so I did not see her. Her brother's, her brother plays in college hockey, played against Zach's team. And we were trying to get her from Calgary. Of course, she's from Calgary. She's from Calgary.
03Yeah, the home of Donald Trump. There's one, there's one incredible album cover of her and it's just Goli-Pets. Is that true? Just Goli-Pets? Yeah. Big Goli-Pets? Goli-Pets. Just up to her right here. Really? And she's standing. Wow. Everybody's googling right now. Goli-Pets. So, I'm a big McCray fan. Love her. Big, good. Love her. Actually, her music's not terrible. But they were trying to get her on the other two. They were on Nesson. They were trying to get her to come do a broadcast. But she was in a suite. Just staying with her. Yeah, that's kind of what it was. Where. Yeah. She, but I mean, the chance to meet you. And Paul, the other night Paul Schienz was there. Oh boy. I was before training, spring training started. Can't live without them. Well, they were both there. But they didn't want to be seen. You know, it could be shown. Interesting. I don't like that. Because I don't think they want to, they just want to just live their lives, man. As Aaron Rodgers said, you know, she didn't sign up for this. Yeah, but you guys made great points. I say, yes, I was listening. You know, you marry Aaron Rodgers. Do you think you're signing up for her? Yeah, and Emily.
03Yeah, she thought she thought no, would ever be curious about who she was. And if she told. She said to him, I'll date you only on the condition that no one knows about it. And it's complete secret. Right. And he said, she said a lie because he has to know that that was going to be a thing. They were going to follow him around. They were going to, and he's not doing any favors by keeping it a secret. Well, I'm not saying yes, that's a press conference. But if he had just said, this is my wife, there'd be less curiosity. But now that he's even more curiosity, because nobody has seen her. Now, this question is, does he making her up? Well, and so now they're hungry for even more fun. What do you say you'll find him? And he goes, he goes, it's bizarre. It's bizarre that people even care. Do you think it's real? Okay, buddy. But both of you, it is bizarre that people care. Not, but you know, it's not, but you know, life, people care. You've been famous for now. Aaron Rodgers has been famous for 24 years almost as long as he was not famous. Memor, more than he was not famous. You, you also were with Danica Patrick, Olivia Munn, you, you know, you, you, this is the life. She chose it.
03Shaline Woodley, that's right. Three of them. Celebrities. Celebrities. Stop, just don't, it's fine. I get it. Just say, hey, I like people who respect my privacy. You sure no problem. Don't pretend like all of a sudden, you're backing out. Right. And now no one should care. And if he told, and if he told her, no, don't worry about it, it'll be fine. And you're lying to her, that's not right. You didn't choose to do a weekly with a columnist in Green Bay. You go on the Pat McAfee show on TV every week. You know, you know, I'm saying, he's not hiding in the forest. He did for three days. And guess what? May the biggest deal about it all the time. Yeah. I'm a big McAfee fan now. Got a lot of feedback yesterday, including I had it's actually him. You're growing, McAfee's growing on you. Oh my God. I mean, the guy got the formula. Everybody in the world goes on a show. Oh, so you mean you're impressed by him? I'm very impressed. He's wealthy, that's impressive. Money loves money. Now I got, I got a lot of attention. So what you need to do, because you find his show on a life's money. It's his show. Right. But he has a laugh track all around him, doesn't he? He has people there. Never alone. Yeah. He's got like seven people on the show. Yeah. And then they have guests on almost every
04segment. Yeah. It's a great show. That is, that is, that is, that is good formula. You've got the guest every segment part down. Now you need, now you need the laugh track of 17 people. Level of guest that he gets. Well, no, he gets everybody. Yeah, it's crazy. I get no one. Now, but I did get some feedback yesterday. I wouldn't say that's true. But yeah, we got a lot of feedback yesterday. All right. He's the youngest of that. Can I finish my point? Why are we getting so chocolate? I don't know, because everyone I tried three times now. And now we're bringing up Mike Lupica. It's what I have a payoff here. We ate a lot of traction yesterday. When we did our top, when we're counting down top five nozzles in sports, including no less than the great Yankee producer, Troy Benjamin who sent me a text. What is the way in this one? I don't know if he wanted to save the specific. Let me see if he'd be comfortable with the names. No, you bet. I think he's producing the game right now. We're the, what is the losing nine? Well, no, you were one of the names. I'm a boss. I'm just kidding. He did not send your name. But we were having the conversation. Oh, I don't think he'd care about me releasing either of these. Okay. These were his suggestions. He threw Tim Tibo into the mix. And he threw Dremont green into the mix to very different kind.
06If you're depending on how you define nozzles, very different. Tibo, it would be the, oh, you know, I'm just running with a tight shirt on in the rain kind of. No, no shirt on. Sorry, it was no shirt. Yeah, no shirt. Whereas Dremont, of course, his nozzle is, you know, it's almost its own cat. Dremont nozzles. But that's all different level of nozzles with Aaron. That's what I'm saying. Nobody gets to that level. Can you think of anyone? No, you can put in that. He's really. It's rare. It's every college football coach. Oh, everyone. It's them and Roger Lane Kiffin's a nozzle. Oh, come on. They ask basketball coaches too. They're in there. You see L.A. coach and what he did with the student newspaper guy, you know. Oh, that was a bad one. Did you go off on that one? Yeah. No, that that one. Come on. But yeah, it's hard. It's being a bully, not just a nozzle. Yeah, but the kid. A bully nozzle. The kid from that one. A rare bully nozzle. The kid, I don't know if you know this. The kid left school. Really? Yeah, they don't even know where he is. I mean, seriously. I'm not sure if he left school. Get out of here. He's been going too far. He went to the root.
07What is it? root one? root five. Like, he's heading to Mexico. And he's going to go. How many of them are he is? That's not true. He had the first sentence he had, man. I know. He was cool. That he kept going. He just took it too far. They can't find him. Well, listen, he's been I think that what I would have. He's been workshop and stuff like this with just Ray. Listen, and Ray does. He's really excited. Yeah. So he's excited to have someone here. In fact, he's that with just Ray listening. Because K in studio with us around him is almost like holding a press conference for a coach. That's right. Yeah, Mike. I didn't bring that up about, um, you know, I defended the men's hockey team. Go ahead. And I brought you up. You know, people are saying, well, how could they have let the president say that about? You're good. You're going to correct the president. You shouldn't say that, Mr. President. No, I know. How about this? I know they were totally innocent. Michael, how about this? I have a lot of things I could say about that event. I am with you on that. That was it. How do you blame the guys in the moment on a speaker phone? Right. And also they're like 15 beers in their old tank. It's very tough. And President Trump says something.
08And rather than laugh, they go, excuse me. You know what? Not the time. That's right. That's wrong. Now listen, they had opportunities afterwards if they wanted to say anything. But in that moment, I do not. And I think they said everything right after that. They, they, I think there's a genuine affection towards them. Oh, for sure. I was on SNS and that was tremendous. That was very good. When I missed the SNS, I was like, what is perfect? The two hugged brothers. And then there are two people from the women's team. Two women from the women's team. During news? No, first open. First their brothers came out. Right. And yeah. And they were, they were with the, the guy who's hosting who's from the show, the, what's it called? The heat arrival. Yeah, it's true. And so I refused to watch. They came out. Throw up, Michael. And they're side by side. So they're talking. Hockey than the other thing. Yeah. Oh, you're right. You're right. You're right. It's all hockey. He has no one to the hockey show. And as long as you get that out. And then, then came out the, the, the women's players. Okay. And of course, the crowd went crazy. And the, the guys, you know, made fun of themselves
08throughout the whole thing. So it was perfect. It was what you needed to do. I got a night in California. So they made it, but they made it in time. The very night, right? Yeah. They made it for the start of the show. Yeah. That's speedy playing. That is. Well, we were debating. It wasn't the playing I was on. See, I knew that. I, I, I got, I got home about maybe 30 minutes earlier, a late, later. So I didn't think he was, you know, he would have been able to make it. Does hockey snow your name? Yeah, we talk all the time. Very proud of you. Hey, Don, how you doing? Yeah. Back your belly. He says, no, back your belly. You sure are. But you think you're, you want to know if Jack Hughes has done. How's the back of your belly for a sleigh rod? Just wondering the relationship. But was it get back to the point about his teeth? I don't think he's doing it to be that guy. I literally don't think he's had the time. It doesn't take that long. But he has had no time. It was because that was Sunday, right? We played Wednesday. So they went and they partied in Miami. They gets back. Has the game way to game Wednesday. Thursday in Pittsburgh. And then went from Pittsburgh to St. Louis.
11So I guess you could have done it. But in all that time, where was he? McAfee flew him to Indianapolis to be at the combine on McAfee, right? And then you're right after the game against St. Louis back to New York to do SNL. But that's, can't call a dentist to say, huggest needs teeth. But I don't think he was in that kind of a hurry. Plus, he's playing right now in season. Right. Yeah. It's going to probably he can hit again at any time. That's it. No, that's not the better point. This is something he could keep it out. Well, I mean, a cap is easy, but I'm talking about like to fix it, fix it. He'll do that in the off season, right? How can you fix it, fix it? I'll replace hat. No, well, yeah, you'll put on a whole thing. But he can have like something that just goes over. Why, why not wait a little season is over? Because it is part of the charm. What do you mean? Extraordinary pain, though, when you crack a tooth, every time you breathe, well, it depends on how much to the nerve is exposed. I don't think all of it, right? Well, maybe none of it. I don't know. I don't know. In fact, it was like the bottom piece. Do you ever crack a tooth or anything like that? No, I do nothing physical. Nothing. Nothing. Is that lucky you you don't have to feel that pain? There's other pain we feel. But no, I'm sure the one that the version that he has right now,
14he's not in pain or he would be getting it done. Yeah, but he had to have pain when he did it. He's still playing. Oh, well, I mean, yeah, he's a man. There's a occupied one. Still, I mean, that's extraordinary pain. Yeah, but these are hockey players. They would do it. They'd they'd solve their thumb and finish the game. So they don't do load management? No, no, no. No, interesting. See what you did there, though. And see what I did. And the other thing that we were talking about the celebration after they won, Rodgers was on your side. Was not happy that Patel was in. I saw that. I'm a big Rodgers guy. Always have. And you saw and McAfee and the guys kind of like tried to skate past it and you could tell Rodgers wanted to stay there for a minute on the side. Oh, he did. Yo, you could tell he was like, no, I don't want to talk more about that. I don't want to talk. And then they were like, oh, yeah, then you have a lot of gruff sounds and they moved on. I heard, you know, I consume everything. Our president didn't like that. I read that. I didn't see. Is that proof? Is there something that was leaked out? He's told his staff. He did not like that. He should not have been there in that situation,
14boozing it up. But I think I think politics aside, do you have a trouble agree with it? Well, Trump's not the kind of guy who would like to see someone acting in a way that's like childish. You know what I'm saying? Like you're a 50 year old man. And you're like, shugging beers. That's not Trump's way. I've never seen, I've seen Trump in a lot of situations. I've never seen him like fist pumping and celebrating with booze. It's like, you don't even drink. I believe it's president Trump. Sounds all right. What did I say? You said Trump? No, it's Trump. I think sometimes it's president. Presumers back, baby. Would you say Obama? No, you say president Trump. I definitely would say. I would say. I would just say Bush. I definitely president. No, because all we're talking about. Now I see, but that's why he's the great. Because you didn't know when he started, you thought the rib was just on me for saying Trump. He had a plan. He knew where he was going. He was going to get the bush. He was going to get the bush. No, no, no. He thought it was always the plan. That's always the plan. I think that's always the plan. Michael finds a way. I just want to talk about Nolan Richardson. How raised your backs?
15Would you say, no, you took president every time. As the great, the right bottle used to say, if you're not thinking about president Bush, then your mind's wander. That's exactly right. So you found a way there, Michael. Good job. Thank you. All right. My work is done, right? Yeah, you got to go on a high. We have a show to do. Yeah, that was a good bullpen sash. I was very good. I heard the beginning of your show yesterday about, you know, weather. So I think this, this is somewhat preferable. I kind of felt like the weather conversation was pretty good. No, we're fine. Yeah, we don't really have one. He's in Disney. That's what the, oh yeah, he's a rumor. Yeah, if you were to disappear, if the first place you look is not there, family or Mickey, he take Mickey. All right. That's a great question for John. Have you ever had more guilt of taking vacation from somebody who takes nothing but vacation? Well, he takes the big vacation. Like constantly. He gives you guilt when you take that zone. You know, anytime it's like, it's not easy. Yeah, he'll give it to you. No, I hate to do this. I hate to do this. Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. I'm pushing back. I think John has been the most accommodating of all the program. For you,
16well, you're, but you guys respectfully, the two of you are gone a lot otherwise. I, I'm either gone or I'm here, you guys have the, you know, the sports stuff. So maybe it gets more complicated. With me, when I say, hey, I'm planning this time, he goes, hey, as long as you have the day, see you later, I'll see you when you get back. I'm just telling you I was been with me. Oh. Well, he'll give it to you. He makes you feel bad. Yes. Oh, guilt. I don't get that from him. Yeah, I really, I, I would say I have other people that I'd put ahead of him in the guilt department. I think, I think you're right. We now know the hierarchy at the station. We've always known, you know, and what it is. What it is is that you and I are the people that would be affected by him doing that. These guys are black hearts. They don't care. Are you affected by him doing it? If John laid a guilt trip on me and Alan, we'd rehearse the possibility we might take it back. No, I wouldn't care. You're, you're going to ignore it. He is going to ignore it. He's a little right over it. Why not? They know it's not going to work on you. I would take out my contract. I go, you know, it's our crypto. It's our, I know, but it's our crypto. Yeah. Right. See that signature?
16Bob Eiger, Michael Kennedy, these are better. Here, here, we feel like we're letting the company down. Right. We want to be good soldiers. And I think that last year, if you want to really push back, I had fewer vacation days than any of you. Well, certainly. Well, certainly him with you's on that ridiculous paternity. I know he was pressuring. Pretending to be a father. Well, what is, uh, what is father? Mother of Jesus. Listen, I tell you, would he ever come back from paternity leave with a tan? Yeah. Yeah. By the way, we may remember, we may have a second child just for the second paternity leave. Yeah. You know what? You told your stunt last year. The stunt. I said to Jodi, it said, let's just have another kid. All right. Same. I said, I get all this time off and get paid. She said, what? I said, yeah, Peter's constantly off. She goes, I don't know if I can do it. I said, come on. Come on. Well, did she couldn't have a kid or couldn't spend that much time with you? Both. Both are challenging. But we're not the middle. He's now. No. She's in her 60s. Wow. Why are you saying not to me? Well, she doesn't care. OK. She's just Googler. I know, but at least make the audience make an effort.
17She's 61. She'll be 62, may second. OK. Interesting. Wow, putting it all on the table. Looks great, by the way. She does look terrific. Yeah. Yeah. When you go, I don't. No, I don't. You know, I'm watching the NBC throwback, right? Yeah. On Tuesday. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We had a toss this on. It was great. I know. I heard you said he wasn't going to be for me. And I was going to call on my son. I'm not going to play the game. Yeah. I was going to call him to get him on. I watched Isaiah Thomas. I'm telling you, there's a picture of Dorian Gray and his garage. The guy has not aged since he played. Richard said the same thing. Richard said that. He does not have a wrinkle. And other people thought the opposite. I thought he looked weird. I thought he looked like something's going on. And then I read that something may be going on. He's very thin. Like he's got his guess himself. He's facing so puffy. Like I thought there was like he, um, well, though, you know what? I'm going to go back to the puffy face. Well, you can. It spreads out. It spreads out the wrinkles. So you thought he looked fantastic. So he looked unbelievable. It spread. Like a balloon? Yeah. I'm telling you, I have fewer wrinkles when I'm heavy than when I lose weight.
19Oh, that face quits in. No, no, that's a fact. That's a fact. Yeah. But you get too skinny. It just gets in product. You'll be fine. Product. Like skincare. It'll go away. Take away the wrinkles. Here it does. Oh, it doesn't take it away. It helps it up. It reduces. Hold on. Let me ask you on this question. Seriously. Do you put what? Do you put any product on your face? I'm not even soap. So nothing. Just make up. I mean, come on. Yeah. So you don't put moisturizer ever? Why? You think Alan Han got this handsome by accident? Yeah. You got it. You got it. I think that's DNA loss. Yeah, but you got it. But you don't. You throw a moisturizer on him, guessing. No. Of course. You have to have it. It's okay. It's okay. Except I'm in the shower. The water comes down. I don't know if you can get it. But then you dry and you have moisture. No, I'm calling it right now. This is an absolute act. I'm looking at your skin right now. I'm looking at your face right now. So I shave. Right. And then I use, you know, the pinot stuff that you get in the old-time barbers. I splashed that on his aftershake. That's it. Like, like, home alone.
19Yeah. You use the old tiny after you. And you do the folly face every. Yeah. No moisture. Well, that works. Or. And also just this. Thank your parents because you do have great skin. Look, look at the. I'm looking at you. You're right. You're closer to me than them. I have wrinkles. Well, you're 75 years old for God's sake. Well, the least forgiving mirror in the world. The least forgiving mirror is the rear view mirror in the car. Well, when you're looking, you're looking at yourself and that. I don't know because it's got a big head. It's there. You know, it doesn't have wrinkles. Jody because she's never taken son in her life ever. Man, she doesn't like the song. That's crazy. Where's a burk big head? Whenever we go to the park. Yeah. So when you go, go on vacation. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. It's smart. You're always a burk. You're always a burk lawsuit whether we go to the park. Yeah, so when you go, going vac it. Smart. 哈哈's a face Every time. Every time. Lotion and a hat like everything, she'll put almost like 70 Sunscreen when she's driving because she heard that sound. Coming through the windows. Nah you are the one that that fades. Guess what it works. Ei. Did for her. Right.
19We're good. When we look on the four box there on the YouTube, I'm by far the oldest looking guy. That's true. But that is true. It's a gray. Well, yeah, you think so. Yeah, gray. with my hair and beard dyed that would look like you look great. You missed the turn. You can't go back now. Right. You had a moment. The moment. I've said that the brain green Mr. Turn. Yeah. Once you go all great. It's it's over. You got to keep faking it. You got it. Yeah. Once you. It's a great point because a lot of my TV opportunities came out. Alan. You're going to have a decision at some point. Yeah. I know. He's thinking I see him getting I haven't put anything in my hair. This is natural salt and pepper. Yeah. I haven't touched it. Can I give you a year? Don't let it go all great. It will make you look older. Just put just for grand there. It'll stay just a little bit. No touch of great. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Because that's because I'm I'm at that place. But the problem is is that I I ran into this spot where it was like is over at you know Hudson where the new Disney is. It became like a debate in the makeup and hair. Whether you should let it go. Let it go. Let it go. Let it go. It'll look good. Oh, they
22would just that was frozen stuff. You heard in the background. No. And that's all women. That's what that was. Let it go. Because they were dancing. Yeah. Yeah. No, you're an air. They kept saying. No, you got it. It's going to look really good. And now I'm like, well, it's been a year since I've done it. If I do anything now, it's going to be so obvious like Don said. No, you're so fine. You could still think I stuck it away with it. Yeah, but once you go Don, yeah, you know, like wrong. Yeah. That's dancing. All of a sudden just show up and I got like jet black hair. But I think we're passing the other day. But like so when I was in Pittsburgh doing the penguin game, like Sidney Crosby was a scratch. He was up by us in the boot. Name drop. Yeah. So I'm pepper hair. I don't know. Really? Yeah. Sid the game 40 though. Right. That's our early salt. 40 yet. 87 born in 87. So what is that? He's right there. He's right there. He's 39 years old. But still. But just you're always going to think of him as Sid the kid. Not somebody with, you know, well, you know, pepper hair. Jet black hair for the longest time was on the island. I thought that he was secretly. And then the next year he showed up and it was all great. So then he was. He was going. It was jet black till he was like 60. So he was coloring. No, he wasn't. He wasn't. It's just over. You get a scare. So I'm looking at you know, when we get ready to do the
31go, look how great I'm getting. So it's just happened. Well, well, now you got me. That's the worry. Now I'm self. I'll be to you and me. I'm going to write. I'm going right to get. Here's what you do. Here's the way. It's a touch of great. Not just for men, because that touch your right touch of great leaves the gray. Yeah, a little bit. Right. Because I'm told it's it's it's. It's good. You go. You could go to Rosenberg. I don't think that's the look. I told you that you shave your head and then start dying it when it's growing back. I'll forget. Now that's interesting. Oh, I thought you meant to do that because I have said this when I retire. First thing I'm doing. No way. Yeah, just straight one down. Why? Nothing. Cause it's just. But you have hair. I'm good. Tap it out. Don't anybody that's bald is bald for a reason. You would not have a reason. I wouldn't shave to the clean. I'm just saying I would just probably buzz. I don't shave all the way clean. I don't pick it. I'm like a one. That's a one. This is about a one. No, that's it. Yeah. There's two. I do it to the back. It's like a season. Like a really short. We had a bet that he'd have to grow his
32hair like Gallagher. He always didn't lose this year. It's the worst year I've ever seen. My picture is a clown. Yeah. I just come. It's we're doing the calendars. Um, calendars was the conversation wasn't the conversation. I'm showing up if he's going to be as a clown. I think we should save it for the beach bash all day long as a clown. Yeah. And the heat makeup running. I don't I don't know. Everybody's there. I'm going to go with the whole stage. Yeah. I may I may push back on this. Well, you could, but you could lose. I know, but lose. You lost in the most depressing. I've never seen a guy. I haven't worse here. No, it never got gone. It was unbelievable. How pathetic it was. Yeah, it's like a tanking. But then I ran away with it. Yeah. So I did. I did a very easy. But you were just some bad. Well, the playoffs. I found myself again, but it was too late. Found yourself. Where were you in the toilet? But I don't know if I'm doing the beach bash. I don't know if I want to be in. Oh, you may not have a choice. Well, I mean, I'm a human being with rights. No, don't don't. It's such a fun. No, it's a bad. But what's wrong with that? They do balls. He said harder harder than that. Oh, so yeah, that's two of them. Yeah. Yeah, you did two at the beach bash.
36Yeah. What did Don say again? Harder, harder. Well, because nobody wants to do anything. A dunk tank. So I like put mayonnaise in there or something. Make it make it a harsh punishment. But these guys want to make sure it's on his. Yeah, he always wants more. Right. Yeah. Right. Make me know what I didn't know. I feel it is listening to what he and then. I didn't know that was the southern. I like southern. I didn't know about it until about a month ago. You know what? He's a weird thing. I never knew about it. It's the light. I don't know how long it's been going on. But you're great. I can't say. If he was that bad and you never had to say. I mean, this opens up a whole portal for him. He could do at, you know, NASCAR. Yeah, just be that guy. I would do. Yeah, NASCAR'd be fun. Not about the drugs in it. Yeah. Well, what does that mean? Oh, you've got that connection. You know, this driver is one of the first three races. But what did I never happen before? What did I tell you? Right? Oh, basketball guy. Oh, you can do that now because Michael's there. Now you have a place. You see? That's the nerve. Yeah. He's fast. Oh, I'm hockey guy. Let's see. We don't. We can't talk anything else. It's all your own. You get what you know for what do you mean? Maybe the get up doesn't want me on. First take doesn't want me
40on. Never. Well, not because ever. Not because we don't want you on first take one time. And I said to what's the team that's going to win the championship first. I said the Rangers. And then Steven said, I mean, a real sport. And then he got in trouble. I was never on again. That is so funny. I forgot. I was at your fault. I because you shouldn't have said I'm up like I'm bad team. And let me tell you why the people I have on with the funny hats. I'd be better than all of them. All of them. We came noon. I didn't want to say. He's wearing the hat for reason. He wants to be recognized as an awesome. Well, you should try a different hat. Well, maybe as a media company ourselves, we should just decide to say, you know what we're going to do is we're going to make our own first take a New York sports. How is it possible that Greenberg doesn't ask me to be on. I don't know some believable. I'm so undervalued in this company. Maybe they think you're too big time for it. Or maybe they just don't really talk a lot of baseball. Or maybe they're not a fan. Yeah, baseball is the New York really don't tell you how to baseball. Well, they still have baseball. No, Sonnet. What? It's football.
46Oh, football. And then more football. Right. And then a little bit NBA and then more football. Right. Well, listen, you're back to the clock. Even the great Michael K. We still have to break. Thank you for this. That's all right. It's more than three minutes. If you want to hang. No, sending you on your way. Unreal. We know. We'd like to get the sports. We get you talking sports about hoggis. I know. But this was not our open now. We had to shove our open. What was the open going to be? The Nick Stunder. How is my open? Well, that was our open to. Right. Well, you know, we opened two hours. Are we still three hours? Second segment. What was that going to be? Of the second segment. We're hoping they carried a 430 for that guy Thursday. I'm telling you. Okay. And that guy Thursday. Carried the end. Maybe I could be that guy. And that guy. He just shows up and rumbles. Hang around. Maybe Michael. We'll be here when we get back. 30:52only available with TurboTax full service experts. Thunder. Good back and forth. I know people are complaining about the officiating rightly. So Nick's got their looks. I mean, that was a fun game to watch. That lived up to the expectations. Don't just being a basketball fan and just watching two really good teams go at it. The atmosphere was phenomenal in the building. Like, it was just, it really, it had a presence. It had a moment kind of feel, right? Remember we were complaining about the fact that these two teams are coming off back to backs and they all both coming in off the road and will we get the best of them? All it took was the officials to not call the charge on SGA that would have been his third foul. That would have had a major impact. And remember, SGA comes
52into the game already with his reputation preceding him as somebody that gets a lot of calls. And this was a situation where they didn't make the call and it was, it seemed very obvious. And so because of that moment and Mike Brown, who never gets a tech, he never argues with officials. Lost his mind on the side. I've never seen him like that. Running up to the official yelling at his face, flipping out. They're pulling him back. Fat Joe got him. Fat Joe got up. He was like, he took him a second. But once he got up, he's like, I gotta have a talk with this. Like, even he was mad. Everybody was losing it. And it got the crowd from being the typical, oh, this is defending champs. This is a Western conversation. We only see him once a year. Let's sit back and enjoy some basketball and see what this is about to, oh, we hate them now. And the thunder became the, they hated to hunt it. And at first, the game in the first half was sloppy, frustrating, whatever it is. The next only scored 40 points. They come out of the half. They scored 40 in the third quarter. That's the
57best, that's the best defense in the NBA. And they were killing it, shredding it. And it was, it started to have this big game feel. As if the nicks were trying to say, enough of what the narrative is about us, we're going to prove something here. And they were going toe to toe. And they had the lead at the end of the third. They were 19 and oh, going into the fourth quarter of the season with a lead. So there was a big time feel of, you know what, they're going to pull this thing off. They're going to do this. Then, of course, you know, like as a great team would as Shay would, there were some plays that went back and forth. Nicks got cold again from three. That was their biggest struggle. And then Mark diagonal, the coach of the thunder had, he kept his challenges in his pocket and he used him twice in the last six minutes. And man, both of them felt like gut punches. But still, great play calls six seconds to go out of a time out of a side out. Brunson gets open for a corner three. You're thinking, we're going overtime. And from what I heard, Shay wasn't going to play
57an overtime because they're still controlling his minutes. Wow. Which by the way would be he missed because he did that in Detroit a couple of days earlier. So Brunson misses because he was off all night. And nobody has a chance. He misses. And that's the game. But there was a, there was a sense of, and I heard it. There was a not a cheer, but there was an actual applause from the crowd from the game ended. There was frustration, disappointment. And then there was, I heard a applause, the sense of, that was a good show. And all I kept thinking was, I'll take seven, I'll take seven of these in June because they were going at it. This was an absolute brawl. And both sides were missing pieces still. There was no Robinson. He would have definitely helped. They were missing Jalen Williams. But there was just something about that game that you walked away just going like the nicks are starting to lately show you something different that we haven't seen all season. And that is they get after it defensively even when their offense isn't clicking. Yeah. So I, I walked away and a lot of people walked away feeling good about them
00despite the fact that they lost his game. But I love everything that you're saying. And that's what I took from the game. And that's what everybody should take for the game. But the thing I take exception to is everybody's opinion, even on this air of, well, the mix really proved last night they could play with the thunder. They haven't proven that already to you. They almost be even at OKC last year. Now you got killed at the garden. Yeah. But you called that game at OKC last year. Yeah. And being yesterday. You know what? It's funny. You said that game was a, I said the same thing after that game. I said on the air to Mike brain, Mike brain. I said, you know, this could be a fun finals. And even that game though, didn't compare to this one. Because in that game, the nicks ran out of gas in the fourth quarter because they were, but they were always being just driven hard. This game felt like it was winnable. They just were off with their shooting, but their defense was good enough to win. But the, the frustrating thing to me is that, and it was the theme of the show yesterday. And rightly so, that we keep getting told these games don't matter. Mike Brown, who's rip raw and mad about the officiating and rightly so, before the game is telling you
05how we win, we lose. It doesn't matter. It's a regular season game. So which is it? You can't pick and choose. So you almost beat them and probably should have beaten them. So now the game matters. But if it's lost by 20 points, what would the fans say? Well, they're probably not showing them anything. It's a regular, they played the night before because that's what we hear every time they get crushed by the pistons is don't read into that Don. If they play in vanilla defense, they're not really showing their hand because they're saving it for the postseason. I'm just tired of these games getting used for whatever you want it to be. Is it reality or not? Does it matter or does it not matter? What, what, what's the answer? Because before the game, you set it up, say, that doesn't matter. So if you get killed, you get excuses. But then all of a sudden, you almost beat them. And now I'm supposed to care. And now it all of a sudden mattered. That's not the way it works in life. Does it matter or does it not matter? But you want, you want to show that's what that's two great teams go ahead as a different conversation. And that was a show that and you that's why I did not attack you on your open. That's the way it should have opened. Hey, that was a fun two hours and 30 minutes. That was a fun basketball game.
08It's against the second half was all the next prove they could play with the thunder. No, they didn't. But so the Pacers prove they could play against the thunder last year, what the seven games with them still didn't win. That doesn't mean that's going to happen to the postseason. And heck, unless you figure out this distance thing, you're never going to get to the fact that that's the conversation. No, so all I'm saying is that that's the frustrating thing to me. In every other sport, I watch a game and it has meaning. But in the NBA, we're constantly told it doesn't matter. And then all of a sudden the game is good. And then it matters. What which one is it? But because I wanted it to matter yesterday. That's what I pitched about yesterday. Well, why can't this game matter? And I'm told by the coach and by players and load management and the NBA scheduling both of these great teams to play on the second of back-to-back that it doesn't matter. And then all of a sudden we get a great game and now it matters. I hear what you're saying. I just don't know who to be mad at because the the players all showed up and played last night. That's what happened. Well, that's why I stumbled into a great game. There was a world which is tough about that. But it was a great. Don't make it into
08anything bigger. You know, we learned about if these two teams face each other in the file zero, not a nothing. The thunder could sleep in the war. I don't take that out of the I never take that stuff at it. I don't go see this proves just like the Detroit. That's why you say with the Detroit thing. I don't know. That doesn't prove anything. It proves that during the regular season. First of all, they were out for blood. The first game they were out for blood. And the nicks weren't ready for it. And they got smoked second time around. It was kind of the same thing. It was almost like, all right, you got it out of your system. And then like in the second quarter, it was like, why are you guys still so mad? They would pissed off like that's how the pistons played against the nicks. And then the third time it just like the same story. It's like there. That was a better game. But Cade was unreal. And they really couldn't stop him. So those games just show you that the pistons are a different team than you faced last year. Right. Because idea that you'll never be in a playoff series. I say is not true because the playoffs are a different animal. And a veteran team like the nicks know that. So I am not somebody that takes this game last night. Oh, this tells me
12the nicks can go toe to toe. What it tells me is these two teams when they play each other. Like they have some good games. That's good. And like this could be a fun finals. And that's all I'm thinking. Yeah. Can you get there? Because I just saw them beat the spurs. I've seen them beat the spurs twice. And I've said those will be good. Because those spurs games, nicks, spurs, those games have been good games too. So when you're thinking about can they get to the finals, you're thinking about who they can play. Right. Well, they took Denver to overtime. They're going to see Denver on Friday night, by the way. They took Denver to overtime. A team that everybody thinks could make the finals. Okay. See, they just had a blood bath with. They have had great games, entertaining games with the spurs. This tells me that these could be fun finals. And all that's left to my head is can they get there? They can't. I don't look at these these teams that they meet in the finals and think they have no shot. I just don't and we'll take your calls on this of one eight hundred nine one nine three seven seven six is the whole I just pick and choose. Oh, I'm not upset. They got crushed by the pistons because they didn't care about. They mean more to the pistons than they do for the nicks. And then all of a sudden yesterday, oh no, it'll
15send it matters. Well, if you got crushed by 20, would it have mattered? Or would you have said, no, because you know, Mitchell Robinson didn't play. And we were in Toronto the night before. Yeah, I just, I'm a sports talk show host. I want to take them as they come. I want to have big games. I want to have fun moments. I don't want there to be an excuse every time your team loses. And then every time your team wins, it's, oh my god, we're going to win the championship. That's just so frustrating about basketball right now. Because in any other sport, you know, if the Yankees play the Blue Jay's in a series, it's not going to be well. You caught us in a, you know, we had another day off an 18 day or we didn't have our best pitcher. It would be red hot. You lost two out of three to Toronto. Yep. Hey, guess what? It mattered last year when the Blue Jay's were kicking the Yankees ass. It's not the record. You know, I know it mattered because the same thing happened in the postseason. So that's what I want. I want to sit here and talk about two teams playing the way Alan brought it up. Not all of a sudden making something out of nothing or making nothing out of something, depending on whatever your narrative wants to be.

Get a started off here on Don on the Roosevelt. What's up, Rob? Hello, Rob. There he is.
30You know, they meet something and what it means to me is I get a glimpse of what the next ceiling is. They've lacked toughness or the right about them over the last couple of months with they've lacked toughness. And now they're showing that they can play tough against the best in the league. Even if the Detroit game shows their floor, which isn't that great, I like seeing their ceiling against San Antonio and against Oklahoma City and playing tough until the end of a close game. No, I know I love that too. And that's something to take from it. My whole contention, Rob, the bothers me is that when you got beat by the pistons, we're getting phone calls from people saying, I'm not worried. Just regular season doesn't matter. Now Mike Brown made the comments about, hey, it's the regular season. We can win. We can lose at the end of the day. It's just the regular season. He might have been strategic in saying that just to set up, what if they did lose by 20? Hey, don't freak out. It's only a regular season. But I just don't think you have, you can really pick and choose. All right, this was a big game, but the games against Detroit weren't big.
32That's right. The game against the Cavs wasn't that big, Peter, because they had beaten the Cavs already. They've got the tiebreaker. So they're okay to mail it in. That's where I think you have a kick coming is when talking about Mike Brown. That to me. I mean, not wanting to have a coach who's kind of willing to move the bar. I think that's fair. But I understand his fans how on one day you might be able to say, hey, I don't read that much from this game, but I read a lot from this one. The problem though with the Nix is, if you make the standard for how you choose to read into it, the availability of Mitchell Robinson, that is stupid, because he's going to be unavailable for playoff games as well. No, you won't. They play every playoff game. Let's say there's no back to backs. He only doesn't play back. He's always going to be available for that as long as he's as long as he tells. Well, that's everybody as long as they're healthy. But has he had a year, though, where he's been fully healthy? He played last year. Every playoff game. But he wasn't fully healthy in the regular season. He missed like 17. He only played 17 games. He showed up for the last. He showed up for the end. Okay. He was hurt throughout most of the season. Yes. But
33but I think every game has to have some sort of takeaway. So to to I thought it was wrong to dismiss all the piston stuff because a it's a mental thing. Now you got that hanging over your head. And the only thing you bring up is well, last year they had the Celtic calves thing hanging over their head and they took care of the Celtics, right? They were able to overcome that, which to me is the exception of the rule. So that's probably part of the reason why you can't dismiss these games. You can't come up with reasons because confidence comes from demonstrated performance and you're giving Detroit confidence. And that's what you don't want to do. You want it to at least make sure they understood that yes, we beat you. And yes, we're still your daddies, but they didn't. They got smoked in those games in Detroit. And that changed now the momentum when it comes to this this matchup. So you can't dismiss those games like you can't dismiss what they did against the calves this season already. What they've done against the Celtics this season. What they've done
37against the spurs. What they have done now again, even in a loss against the thunder. What they've done against Denver. These are all things that you have to now say, all right. All of this inclusive. And last year, I'm sorry, one more thing. They were 10 and 20 against top six teams last year, 10 and 20. Right. This year, there's 16 and 10, but still obviously more to play. They're already better than they were last year playing the better teams, but also that's also something you need to make. No, Rob is also. Yeah, but they are a good team. They were the final four last year. They're the favorites or they were the favorites because we got to talk about the Celtics now and Tatum possibly playing tomorrow. And now how that they've moved up the ladder as far as favorites are concerned. Yep. But at least going into the season, the favorites. So you're you're not the little engine that could anymore. You're not the underdog. You're not surprised. Anybody. You're in the conversation. So I expect you to have a good record against good teams, but don't just strategically or conveniently, I should say throw the pistons games away. You're saying don't sherry pick. You can't sherry pick because you're never going to play
39the thunder. If you can't figure out the pistons, right? There you go. Be out or somebody else knocks him out for you, right? Which is why you. That's why you don't finish fourth. Right, exactly. You don't mean like you got to have that stuff in mind too. That's why all part of the strategy and they shouldn't. And the way they're playing now and it looks like they're going to survive the gauntlet is they're not going to finish in fourth. It looks like they're they're going to fit. They're going to be able to finish out of fourth and distance themselves from from Cleveland and certainly Toronto. Now the Boston thing becomes very interesting because of Tatum's healthy that might be tough for them to get the two, but they still can avoid having to play the pistons in the second round. Help me out with the gauntlet now. Are they? Is it five and two? You know, well, they're two and one in the in the in the with because there's only two left. So it's a 10 game. So we're at eight, right? So it's oh, so it should be five and five and three because there's three losses were against Cleveland. Right. Did you draw the game? How long is Cleveland and then Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City? So they have five or three six and one. So
41so they're going to get they if they split against Denver and LA, they'll be six and four. Yeah, which is what we said. We were accepting six and four. They could win both. They could win both. And they could lose both. Now both those like. They should lose. Lakers are weird. And Denver has not been playing well. Yeah, so it's it's it's um it's all when you catch them, but the gauntlet we had Monica on last week saying five and five or whenever where the gauntlet started. Yeah. And now I think you'd be very disappointed if they go five and five because then that would be they by the way close down the three game losing streak Denver plays tonight. So they'll be in a back to back. Okay. So the nicks played Denver Friday. Denver plays tonight at home, but they play the Lakers tonight at home. Okay. And again, that means more to them because it's conference and they're both battling now four and five. So the nicks are getting a break a rare break where they are the rested team taking on the team that played the night before. Let's go to yeah, it is David and Delaware. You're an ESPN New York. What's up, David? Hey, hey guys, how are you doing?
43Thanks for taking my call. Uh, I understand what you're saying. Don't you know, should they count? Should these games count? Do they like what what does it mean when the coach says? Oh, we don't take these games. It's just another game. I think he has to say that for the team psyche. And so I don't really get into that. I just watch the game at the plays out in from night to night. It just depends. Yes, they'll give more effort this night or yes, they'll slack off another night. And now I really don't think it depends matters with the team. And I like I was telling a producer who took on screen. I think when we start to talk about Detroit and you know us battling Detroit. Yes, in the fight in the, um, playoffs, that's great. But I don't want us to overlook Boston. Like you just mentioned, Tatum coming back and they are well oil championed team. And I know Peter's excited about I'm curious to get his thoughts. I think we need to pay attention because they are in the second seat right now without Tatum. We need to pay attention because we could potentially
48play them first in a second round before even getting to Detroit. Thanks guys. I don't know what Vegas is going to say. Well, I'm going to have that coming. We already know we already do it. Vegas is okay. So you're going to tell me what Vegas is saying. But I'm going to say I think Tatum comes back and assuming I'm going to give him that within a couple of weeks he looks like himself, right? Because if somehow he's not right, then obviously we can't call it. If Tatum in a week or two is playing like Tatum, he's questionable already now. So he's coming back. Mm-hmm. They're the favorite. They're the favorite in the East. Sorry Detroit. It's been nice. But like this is a team that when we know what their DNA is when they're capable. Well, so there's a lot to pick off that. There's a lot of things. There's a lot of there's a lot to peel from that on you when it comes to the Celtics. I agree with you. They don't really become the favorite. They do though. I agree with that. Between the coach, the play they've already been getting from Brown, but they're not as deep as they once were. If you wanted to put money on them, I have a buyer beware. Oh, and I've got numbers to back. And if you decide the professional and if you decide to bet a pick, well, see that's the thing. If you're going to bet, I say Fandall. And also if you want to bet
