Also, why would the tabloids, led by TMZ, report on Donna Kelsey, the mom of Travis Kelsey getting new windows indoors? This actually became a story. A story that Travis Kelsey and Jason Kelsey's mom got new windows indoors. Why will investigate? We'll get to that right now. Here it is. Our number one. 5:20College basketball everyone that does this for a living in sports talk radio will suddenly become a college basketball expert and will all be Jonesed up because coming up this Sunday is selection Sunday, which means and I don't know I haven't talked to management. I'm speaking out of school here. There'll be some kind of bracket thing of a jig or what you might call it or something like that I would imagine been here a long time we do on every year. So that'll be coming up next week selection Sunday is this Sunday. We're not talking about that. No, no, no. It's our lead this hour from La La land where the L. A. R. I.M.s have paid out a bunch of money here. A lot of money. I don't just saw this or not. A couple days after they got all pro defensive back Trent McDuffy from Kansas City. They have given him a record breaking contract now we had heard through the grapevine. This is going to happen but now we know money money money just how much money so if you didn't see this I'm sure it's very similar to your contract.

6:21Four years 124 million that includes 100 million guaranteed which is bigger than most of the lotteries that are going on right now in individual states. 100 million guaranteed the deal will make McDuffy Trent McDuffy the highest paid defensive back in NFL history holy prime time. Deon yeah well it's all about when you're when you're born that's a big part of the money game and professional sports right. Revis Island all those guys they got paid a lot of money but McDuffy now sets the new standard it comes just days after the Rams trade a traded a bag full to the chiefs of package of picks including the 29 pick in the draft all you draft nerds get all horny for that enjoy that. And so it's good jumping off point let us discuss the question is the 100 million guaranteed given to defense back Trent McDuffy a smart business move or reckless spending by the Rams.

7:27So my thoughts on this I've got British boy man Arby's drive through and cheddar cheese ruffles and we'll put all these together we are going to build a better mouse trap. You like the thinking there's no way to build a better mouth track master but we're going to do we're going to build a better mouth trap. So a let's address the Commodo dragon in the room which would be the sticker shock crowd hyperventilating calm down take deep rest everything's going to be okay. Oh my god the game is the Rams are doing it. They're running the NFL. Oh wait I'm sorry those are the people that upset with the Dodgers yeah the Rams guaranteeing 100 million for Trent McDuffy. People always not the top quarterback quarterback what are you doing now this is basic accounting. And it's basic accounting here so you think of this like an escrow account and when when the Rams made the move to get McDuffy from the chiefs.

8:27The way that they facilitated the trade was they they knew the bill was coming do they were they had to pay the guy. And so they knew they were going to have to pay the money wasn't a surprise they were going to pay them a lot whether it was 30 million a year 31 million which it turned out to be it was a lot it was pre baked into the recipe. So that's already pre baked in there there's nothing you can do they budgeted it like it's a family setting aside cash for property taxes. And let's not pretend the Rams are rummaging through couch cushions stadium. There's so far all you people look no one's going to ram games it's all fans of the other theme. Okay well the Rams are making money either way and stand cranky the largest landowner outside of the federal government in America worth 22 billion. And so the Rams have a license to print cash between so five stadium and L.A. and all the TV in general that they're getting like everyone else but on top of it all that extra revenue plus the NFL salary cap.

And he didn't shrink and he didn't run away and hide and he showed up with brass knuckles. So he has proven unlike the twenty twenty ninth pick in the draft will end up being is not proven is not guaranteed to succeed. Well nothing is totally guaranteed but you'd rather have someone that's actually done it who's had a couple of years under their belt to pay that particular player.

10:29Now page two. So keeping the smooth sound going here question. Does Trent McDuffy transform the Rams defense or does he just patch one hole is this just one little hole. So clearly if you know anything about the economics I think you do you're not a moron that it's not just nice player money. That is what we call NFZ money no flies on no flies on thirty one million a year if my math is correct means that quarterbacks should have to contact the FAA to get clearance to throw in the direction of Trent McDuffy. If you're paying that kind of cash this guy can't just patch a little pot hole can't be that right. It's got a repay of the whole highway and stripe it and all of that that the Rams basically drove to Kansas City.

11:31And they treated arrowhead stadium like it was an Arby's drive through and they said yeah I we need some help in our defense can I'll take one all pro defensive back combo meal. Because your advertising you have the meats so we need some meat in our secondary and they needed it they got it their secondary last year was softer than those delicious bird ends in Kansas City. Not quite as good not close to being as good as the bedmaller chicken fingers at the landing in Liberty Missouri now is this guaranteed to work. No of course not this is not the windmill and the spinning obstacles at the miniature golf course the putt putt golf course this is not that we've seen this movie before. Oh man it's been almost ten years now but I remember when the Rams went shopping in Kansas City and this was eight years ago they got Marcus Peters what the time was considered one of the top defensive backs in the NFL.

12:34The problem was Peter sucked at a time you cannot suck that was the problem and it was worth the risk it didn't work out then McDuffie's legit he's a top ten defensive back great tackler supposedly you got to be the eraser twenty twenty six the Rams. We'll play in the division assuming the sea ox don't lose Jackson Smith and Jigba he'll be there Marvin Harrison Jr. who's hitting miss and then outside the vision ran play the cowboys and CD lamb and at this point the Eagles have AJ Brown will see. But those guys have to be vaporized by the aforementioned Trent McDuffie and you're supposed to build the MDS the missile defense system the plan is to build the missile defense system if balls are still flying over that secondary. Then the Rams they mismanaged their money and they they did not get the lock down defense back and they just paid a hundred million for a fancy bandaid there is the multiverse we do believe in the multiverse so it is conceivable that that outcome happens although we would bet on him being fine at least for a couple years it's four year before your contractor yeah I think that's right so that's a lot that's a lot of cash all right now last word here.

13:55To tabloid village to tabloid village we go so TMZ over the weekend breathlessly reported and I I this was so outrageous that I had to bring this up I could not wait to talk about this. So I don't know if you follow teams are not but TMZ over the weekend report I never seen report like this before my life I thought my god this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen so the people over TMZ reported breaking news apparently Donna Kelsey Donna Kelsey and I it's with a heavy heart that I say this I'm a little embarrassed to bring this up but I think we can all send our thoughts and prayers to Donna Kelsey she's replacing nine windows and six doors. At her home in Orlando let me repeat that that's TMZ big news over the weekend Donna Kelsey is replacing nine windows and six doors at her home in Orlando yeah I know that's the store it's a shocker windows indoors TMZ of course getting roasted for this being called out for reaching a new low and all that's the question.

15:08Why I know this is not for the faint of heart but why would TMZ report on Donna Kelsey getting new windows and doors why would this be a report because we are living inside the AIC what is the AIC the algorithm industrial complex that's why this is content farming with a capital F for farming these bot farms. From Guangzhou China or no joke right you toss the word Kelsey into that digital ocean like chum in shark infested water and the engagement fish start thrashing.
