0:00On April 1st, Hendon Hooker, the former Tennessee volunteer star quarterback, just signed with the Tennessee Titans as their backup. After backing up the New York Jets last season, and stints with the Detroit Lions who drafted him and the Carolina Panthers, he's heading back to the Volunteer State, this time in Nashville. He set to back up last year's top draft pick, Cameron Ward, while competing with Will Levis, the ex Kentucky signal caller. The Titans also brought in Mitchell Trebuski during free agency, so the depth chart is stacked at quarterback. Hooker has seen limited action in the pros, playing just three gains with the Lions for 62 yards on six completions out of nine attempts. Fans remember him more for his college days, where he lit it up before a tough ACL injury derailed his Heisman push. That injury forced Tennessee to turn to Joe Milton, but the Valls still rattled off wins, including a massive upset over Alabama in Nailin Stadium. Biggest in program history and a blowout in their new year's six bowl against Clemson.

1:00Valls pay for buzzing to have their guy back home, even if it's on the bench. Hooker's got that raw talent, could be a shot to climb the ladder in Tennessee.
