Homeless Man Stabs Twins, Faces 10-Year Sentence

From a 27-year-old man named Shando Alpha, this happened around 2.30 a.m. on Saturday. Alpha, who's homeless and from Somalia, faces charges of assault causing harm to both sisters and a guy who tried to help them. Bale got denied a Dublin District Court. The sisters were just hanging out in the city center when Alpha started pestering them relentlessly. They told him to back off multiple times and headed to a bus stop, but he kept coming. A passerby stepped in to tell him to leave, and that's when things turned ugly with Alpha swinging the bottle. Judge Scheer and Liddy heard from Garda Coleman Carroll, who called it a violent, unprovoked attack, leaving serious injuries. One sister needed staples for deep headcuts and had bruising under her eye. The other got stitches in her hand and faces surgery.
