Hokies Secure Home Win, Head to Virginia

The Hokies improved to 19 wins and 11 losses overall and 8-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. They dominated from long range, sinking 11 of their 24-3 point attempts to build and hold a comfortable lead. Early on, the Hokies jumped ahead thanks to sharp shooting from beyond the arc. And the Oculus Abdelus led the way with 15 points, including 4-3s in the first half. Down low, Toby LeWall and Amani Hanzberry controlled the paint, grabbing 14 rebounds together and swatting three shots while combining four, 31 points. Fans in Blacksburg got to see some standout efforts that kept the energy high. LeWall exploded for 16 points in the second half to finish with 20 on the night, marking his 11th double-digit scoring game against. In the conference foes, Hanzberry nashed his 5th straight game and double figures with 11 points.
