Back in 1961, he scored his 100th career goal, becoming the third fastest to reach that mark. Five years later, he netted his record-breaking 51st goal of the season. In 1967, he helped Chicago clinch first place with a shut-out win, and he wrapped up his NHL career with his 610th goal in 1980. Several impressive streaks got extended on this day too. Jerry Chievers hit 28 games unbeaten in 1927. Bobby Orr reached 100 points for the 5th straight season in 1969. The Canadian stretched their road undefeated run to 23 games in 1975, and Guy LaFleur added four assists to keep there, home streak alive at 29 games undefeated two years later.
