Hockey Innovation Competition Finalists Announced

The competition focuses on practical ideas for issues like old rinks, limited ice time, and under-use spaces. Finalists will pitch to experts from the League, Players Association, and SAP on March 25th at the Canadian Tires Center in Ottawa. These student teams brought fresh concepts from free equipment libraries with smart tracking and cleaning tech to multi-use courts that switch from basketball to ice rinks. Others pitch energy generating floors and arenas, fan apps for better experiences, and systems to reuse rink heat for year-round community hubs.
