00I cried out, held and saved me, but I'm down to one last breath, and really let me say, let me say, hold me now, I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking, maybe six feet, ain't so far down Hold me now, I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking, maybe six feet, ain't so far down I'm so far down to WIPF, a new show, with Ike Spike and Fritz You know, Jack buzz saying, saying Creed on Friday and how'd that go?
03Well, there was something else he did different that I noticed that he's bad at, is that he was seeing all the lines like a half split second before the lines actually happened Why? Because I don't think he has any rhythm at all, I asked him what his favorite musician was. But I don't really like one, I really don't have one, I have more like genres, I said, okay, imagine there was a gun to your head and the guy said, if you do not tell me who your favorite artist is, I will shoot the gun And he was like, uh, and I said, well, how is this that hard? I know And then he said the Beatles And then I asked him to name five Beatles songs and the first one was Yellow Submarine We are all in the Yellow Submarine Yeah, twist and shout He did name Ike the Buses Garden as well Of course, twist and shout Yeah, he did not name twist and shout, I forget what he did Well, then he tried to impress toward the end, he had trouble coming up with five You want that on the record, don't you?
03While we're on the pop culture thing Super, just a little, well, just a little message to everyone Because I remember the last time this happened with a movie and I will not stand for it And the last time it happened with a movie was a sinners and I will not light up on this It should be clear what you did not like, which is interesting No, I thought it was pretty good, I just didn't think it was as good as everyone said And to be fair to Spike, I didn't get any of the first time around And it was what a nice affirmation that was for Ike sending me a life raft Spike, I got to watch it again So movies that I want to see, I try to avoid the trailers Because trailers nowadays they show everything in the movie So my wife and I were at the movies I don't know three months ago And I see this poster for a space movie with Ryan Gosling called Project Hail Mary From the creators of the Martian Now I enjoy the Martian, I love space movies
04And I love Ryan Gosling So I said, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to ignore all the trailers for this movie And we're going to see it the weekend comes out, go see it And I'm very excited, every 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, everybody likes it What's the name of it? Project Hail Mary So I notice within the first six minutes of the movie that this is not a movie for me Because it was silly and it was going to be like a family movie And that isn't, I didn't want to see it So I'm not a silly family movie guy You went to the movies? Yes You definitely only did see that at the movies It was two hours and 40 minutes long for a family movie Yes And again, when I want space movies, I want them to be dark, sort of miserable, scary maybe even Now I did like Guardians of the Galaxy, but I knew what I was getting into So I thought the movie was fair, it was not that good And I tweeted, the movie was not for me I didn't know as a kids movie and all the responses were
06Like when I said I didn't think centers was good People were mad Mad that I didn't like Project Hail Mary People are being very defensive about this movie If you don't like this movie, you simply didn't understand it I just want to tell everyone Two hours and 40 minutes That's a long movie Is Longer than 2001 a space Odyssey It is a long movie It was okay I thought it was It was okay I'm definitely going to 10-minute power nap in that movie Oh yeah Well, I was fighting it Yeah I was fighting it Yeah, and it was a little too goofy Too goofy Yeah, I was, I didn't want goofy I had no desire for goofy It was fine I didn't think it was bad But everyone's saying the movie of the year and it made a hundred million dollars And it ain't the movie of the year I never even heard of it Oh really? It's a big movie Okay I think Selters take on it I think Selters and I usually have similar ideas on movies
07High hopes Chacky Baseball Report Let's go Each time, one on high hopes Jackie and baseball report Joining me right now is Jacky Baseball, friends Yeah, Jackie Baseball A lot to get to, a lot to get to, a lot to get to But I feel like the most important thing to get to Yeah, in the high hopes Chacky Baseball report There's breakdown of these jersey numbers for me Okay Andrew Painter Gone is the 76, in is the number 24. Like it. Would it like to 40 something better? 24 is fine. 24 is a great number. It's, it sounds like a third baseman's number. Yeah. I like greatness to me. Okay. Really? Yeah. Oh yeah. Wouldn't you say 23 to 23 sound like greatness to you? It does. Oh yeah, so does 24. Oh. I heard he was deciding between that nine. Okay. And then. It's a weird number. It's a weird number for a picture. Yeah. It's a weird number for a picture. Yeah, it's all I'm saying. It's not a shooting gun. It's a weird number for a picture, but I'll take it.
09Okay. All right. Yeah. I think he's born 24. Majority of his high school circuit and through the minor league. Also, he's had the number. It's his number. It's his number. He knows greatness. Yeah. And then Justin Crawford is wearing number two, which is funny because JP Crawford, former Philly's fame, wore number two as well. Oh. It's cousin. Oh, that's that to it for a little guy is going to run really fast to it. Who's the number? Yeah. Or zero or one or something. Yeah. Arning 224. Kobe, Gigi. Oh. This thing just hits World Series. I found two new players. I'm sure you did. Wow. Right in my wheelhouse. You like it. Yeah. You get it. You get it. You get it. Justin Crawford. Harrison Bader. They moved on so quickly from the number two. Yeah. Yeah. So Zach Wheeler threw two innings in the same game in the minor league. Minor league game today. Yeah. They did it now. So he's pitching three innings on Saturday for the iron pick. I saw that. I'm pretty excited.
09Yeah. I asked you if it was going to go minor. You'll be here in a week. Oh, he wants to be back. You'll be here in a week. Well, it's 30 days to get back after the rehab start. Okay. Yeah. So he'll be back in April. He'll be back in the NA. There you go. It's so exciting. It's so exciting, man. Thinking about Wheeler Sanchez, Lazardo at the top. And then if we can just get normal Nola as your fourth starter. That is with that bullpen. Yeah. In this league right now. In this league? Yeah. You know what's going to be really fast in it. I said, no, who's pitching second? No, who's pitching second? That's what I thought. So they go left, right? Well. What? Lazardo's lefty. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I see you've just said left, right? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's just, it's so cute. Yeah. I mean, it's just so cute. Come on, man. He has tenure. Who? No. No, I understand. Yeah. I understand. It's just, it's not even him. It's the Phillies decided to do this. Yeah. How about you just put the best starters? Like one, two.
09It's not like him and Sanchez are the same stuff. He's not a hitter. Yeah. Also they're like, whatever. I thought they're not going to be so thrown off the game plan after there's Sanchez. Oh, no. Oh, I was supposed to hit this. I mean, mix up the lineup. Mix up the lineup. Change that one. Change that one. Change that one. Change that one. Change that one. What are we going to do? I was watching KnowI. I hit around on the fourth yesterday. I got a call. I got a go watch. Oh yeah, I couldn't get- No, I was. We got a lot of hard hit balls on the front. Yeah, it's the opponent. Yeah, the opponent. Yeah. I just, he swore or murdered a baseball. He did. He did. He crushed it, that was good to say. He jacked one. He sure did. Yeah, he sure did. Yeah, so yeah, it's gonna go, I don't, you don't need to play Thompson on it since we just talked about it, so we're all good. What is gonna be funny though, is that when Wheeler does come back, there's gonna be a debate, and I can already sense it coming, that if I had to guess, or my gut feeling, Taiwan's gonna be outpitching painter at that point, whether to put painter
09in the bolt pen, or send him that like, or just put Taiwan on the bolt pen. My official sense. Taiwan goes to the bolt pen. You gotta let painter pitch there. Yeah, painter's here, yeah, he must. I think he gotta give him at least until June. Yeah, yeah, that would be, you gotta give him six or seven stars. But it's my prediction, gonna be a debate. Now let's do a debate. Yeah, and I reserve the right. Exactly, yeah, let's do a bad start. I reserve the right to change your mind. Yes, I'm reserving the right. Come on, Andrew. Come on, Andrew. Just don't pitch to like a five and a half six. Yeah, he's in the fours, he's staying in the rotation. All right, so this seems like it's gonna be the opening day lineup. Last little tune up. This looks like. Yeah, last little tune up today, down in. You promised me, Jeff. Yeah, why changed it? Yeah. Wanted that on the record. Last objection was he's gonna bet three. Yeah. You told me leading up to all spring trains.
10It's all about the conference, too. In what you say, thanks. All right, so, Turner. Shwarver. Harper. Bomber. There you go. Stodder in the five hole. They're really blind. I was surprised at that. Where about that? Well, it's either him or Marsh. That's gonna be the road setting one. Who's ever hotter right there? You know what, I kind of, I'm fine with Turner and Shwarver being one, too, because you want your two best hitters hitting one, too. Exactly right. So let the cook's guy bat third, and then we'll go from there. Yeah, let him have his cute little third while we have the best hitters up at the top of the lineup. Adoles is batting six. Who's only struck out five times this spring. Wow, which is big, because I thought it was gonna be like a big chase guy, big strikeout guy, needs to translate it, but so far he's not striking out a lot. Power's starting to come as he's working through his new swing, Marsh batting seventh, real Muto batting eighth, and Justin Crawford batting ninth. So at Rob Thompson said, this is probably his opening day lineup, and then he talked about Harper and Shwarver. He said, we have a lot of success with it last year.
11That could switch, too. Just one game right now. One guy had a lot of success with it. Exactly. Yeah. Well, they had a lot of success. One a lot of games. So I need to bring back the college Shwarver stats with him batting lead off, but they're when they're win lost record? Oh, you're good. Yeah, no. Now you like win lost record. Well, only when it's funny. I used to do the Stubbs win lost record when he caught. People didn't like that one. People didn't like that one. When we put in our final predictions in. Oh, our Thursday probably. Yeah, do a Thursday. What were we doing on the record Wednesday? Listen, whatever you guys wanted to. Yeah, a lot fells this week, because we missed the Requestion Thursday this week. You're right. You're right. Yeah, I think it's kind of it. That's it. Yeah. I was, we touched on it Thursday when you mentioned it. I was surprised. I guess I wasn't that surprised. I was surprised at how negative the reaction was online to them changing the Harry the Case name. To what is it? Ghost Energy and the Ghost Energy Deck? I think I'm surprised because Ghost Energy Deck. Ghost Energy is a energy, yeah. Yeah. So it's a deck or whatever that has here.
12I love Harry Callis as much as all of us love Harry Callis. I have never, when I thought about Harry the Case, thought that is our tribute to Harry Callis. Statue us. Yeah, the statue is a tribute to Harry Callis. At the end of the game when they win the Play High hopes, that is a tribute to Harry Callis. After every home run. Yes. They do that's that out of here. Yeah, that is a tribute to Harry Callis. First of all, I never heard him refer to his Harry the Case in my time, but also, I never thought of the restaurant where they sell no offense to them. $16 beers as the, you know, and as our tribute to Harry Callis. So to me, it wasn't erasing anything that I associated with the memory of Harry Callis. There's a lot of Harry Callis in there that I think of more when I think of their tribute to Harry Callis. On top of it, this is the world of professional sports now. When you watch NBA games, not only are there advertisements on the jerseys, there's advertisements, digital ones,
12on the court that you can see, it is everywhere and it is only gonna be there more. And if you, now I know they raise ticket prices, but like the money, I'm not, I'm not crying poor for the owners, but the money's gotta come from somewhere. And our owner, while very generous, is not rich like the Metz owner is. They're not rich like the Yankees are. They're not rich like the Dodgers are. They're not rich like the Blue Jays are. So it just, I guess I'm numb to it because there's so many ads all over the place. I don't even think of it. And I don't think of Harry the case as our memory of Harry Callis at all. There's, he's got a statue. There's tributes during the game. It just, it didn't bother me when I heard it. Yeah, I, I'm with you on this. I think there are several ways that the organization is trying to sort of pay tribute and honor to the great Harry, Harry Callis and everything he meant to the organization,
14what he meant to the fan base. And that statue isn't going anywhere. His saying, his quotes that he was famous for throughout his career, calling the games, they will sometimes continue to be trickled throughout the games. So he's not gonna be forgotten. And like I said, that statue isn't going anywhere and rightfully so, so to your point, this is, this is the professional sports in his big business. And, you know, there are companies that want to be attached to some of these franchises and that's the way to get some extra cash in their, it's big business. It is what it is. Yeah. It was just changed their name. I know it's not the same identical sort of thing, but don't think that they wouldn't necessarily put a brandy on something if it meant something that was going to get monetary gain from. And I know we've heard the name so long and I don't even think about that it's a business, but like we're all like, hey, a citizen bank park. That's a, yes, that's a name. That's a sponsorship.
15So, so again, Jack, you would never thought of Harry the Kays as like, I even thought about that baseball guy. Yeah, well, it's, I think people start talking about it in a way that it's never really been talked about this weekend, all of a sudden. Yeah, all of a sudden it's like, oh my God. I go there every game. Like, now I don't love taking Harry's name out of things at the stadium for corporate sponsors. I also want them to have high payroll and continue winning and things like that. So it hit me a little bit because I do love Harry. Yeah, you know, but at the same time it's not like we, you stop there after every game, you know, and I mean, like still having the statue matters. Harry is, I mean, the broadcast booth is after Harry. There's a lot of Harry. So, and he's the best. He was the best. Oh, yeah, I just, and already moved it. I mean, it used to be both decks. And now it's only the one and so, you know, yeah. So, of course, when you see the name removed, you see the corporate thing. It's like, eh, don't love that. Would have loved to just keep it there at the case, but I also, I understand.
16Okay. Well, apologize to Justin because we have to do the text line now. Yeah, and you're, you're not on tonight, right? No, okay. Yeah, we gotta get out. Yeah, we gotta be respectful. At least 553. Yeah. To make some so mad. And I always come on, I'm like, I was fighting those guys to get on. The text line is brought to you by Benari Jouler's. Don't settle for ordinary. Choose extra ordinary. Choose Benari Jouler's at Exxon in Newtown Square. Online at BenariJouler's.com. Well, you know, first day back. Oh. You missed one day, big boy. First day back. Yep, yep. I forgot about it though. You say it's like oil and vinegar. It's like that salad. I know it's a 50s. Yeah. Yeah, I was going with that.
19We've had a tough year with things. Yeah. And you're a cookin' too. I was, I was so confident in myself too. What's next? Oh, who? Who's one guy who was number three in the latest power rankings? Jimmy Kemsky, who was that? Jimmy Kemsky. Jimmy Kemsky, listening to the show. Wow, really? That's what we doing today. That's, that's two for two. Oh, that is two. Oh, wow. Wow, the text line has really turned off for me. I don't do you. What is next? I don't care that you lost. It's the way you played. It was the clothes you wore. It was your lack of lateral movement. It was you practicing the wrong way. It was you letting Ike down. Also, you lost to Gileo. Wade and Chester filing all the grievances. He had a long list. He did have a long list, huh? Yeah. And you know he listens to the show. Yes. And those are going to trickle in because not everybody could get in on Thursday. Yeah, super. Yeah. Just great. Oh, we tried to fight them off on Friday.
19Oh, I'm sure you're right. I'm sure. I'm sure you weren't like, hey, Jackson here. You could say whatever now. Little baby. What's that? There's no babies. Oh, it's like. Yeah, Jack, stop pretending to be country. Keep it real. President of the fan club for Limp Iskid, whose base has always been upper middle class white dudes pretending they have something to be angry about. Is what it is? You know, we're all mad in our teens, you know, in 20s. But in 90s, we're such a great time. They were. Looking back, what are you so angry about? Limp Iskid wasn't in 90s, man. They were, I mean, they, they, they were like 2000. Well, I don't know if you know, but that's different than the 90s. But you're not going to stop at least for the first two years. No, they're not a 90s band. Limp Iskid's not a 90s band. There are 2000s band. Nobody thinks of them as a 90s band. I'm sorry. I can't help you on this. Everyone thinks of them as a late 90s band. No, everybody thinks of them as a 2000s band. You're, you're, I'm sorry, you're wrong. They'll make a back of 2000 band. They're, yes, but they ward with each other.
21I, Jack, I worked on the radio in the 2000s and it was Limp Iskid. I don't know what to tell you. But they feel more 90s. No, they have a more 90s vibe. You're going to great. No, they don't. What's next? Please stop, Ike, please. Merrill, listening to Ike, bring up the early 2000s Eagles again. Yeah. I'm back to town over myself, but the example still sits. It's a good comp. It's a good comp. It's a good one. Yeah. Yeah. What's next? Every time they update iOS, they move the damn U button. Damn holding a deck of cars. Oh, man. That's wrong. You also missed the Buzz top five and five. It was all buzz sound. Yeah. It was. Of course it was. It was unbelievable. It was the top five things he would remember from the Joe and Jack thing.
24One of them was him and his dad hanging out. It's like, what are you talking about, Buzz? Oh, here's a clip of me. The other one was how much Fran Dunphy thought he was a good sideline reporter. This is one of his favorite moments. Oh, yeah. Was he doing a bit? No, no. He was being completely serious. Oh, yeah. He took away from the game. Oh, yeah. We're going to have to take top five away when I'm not here. Yeah. I'll do it. Make Buzz sit there and laugh. All right. TK is next. Peace. We will be back with you tomorrow. Thank you for listening.
