0:00It's March 30, Canada news today starts now, AI powered and ready. I'm Corey with the story. FBI just dropped a bombshow on that truck crash into with the Troy area synagogue back in March. A 41-year-old guy from Dearborn Heights named Aiman Ghazali rammed his pickup right through the doors of Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Township. Officials say it was no accident. He was straight-up inspired by Hezbollah, the Iran-backed group. Here this week, the FBI and Detroit revealed Ghazali had filmed himself beforehand, vowing to take out as many people as he could. He parked outside for a couple hours on March 12, then floored it into the early childhood education hallway, clipping a security guard on the way. Things escalated fast when he traded shots with another guard inside. Ghazali ended up shooting himself, and his Ford F-150 burst into flames. It was loaded with commercial fireworks and jugs of gasoline. His responders swooped in quick, evacuating the building with no injuries to the 150
1:03kids and staff inside. According to Jennifer Runyon, the head of FBI Detroit, this confirmed the Hezbollah link and his deadly intent. No one else got hurt, thanks the sharp security and fast action, turning a potential massacre into a contained incident. Investigators are still digging deeper into his connections, but this update underscores how close we came to disaster in our own backyard. Stay aware out there.
