0:00The Prophet of al-Asat al-Salam is a Hadith. He said, I have not been sent except to perfect good character. What an incredible statement. The Prophet of al-Asat al-Salam, the final messenger of Allah, who was sent as a mercy to all of the worlds, he said this, that he has not been sent except to perfect good character. So we, to profess to follow the Prophet of al-Asat al-Salam, we should focus on good character. The believers with the most complete enan are those with the best character. Something to highlight about this Hadith is that our character is directly linked to our e-man, to our belief in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. If somebody has very good character, this is a good sign that they have true e-man, right? Because our e-man fluctuates. Okay, with good deeds, our e-man goes up, with bad deeds, our e-man goes down. Somebody has good character. This is a sign that they are from those who have complete e-man. And if somebody has bad character, it's a sign that they have a deficiency in their e-man. So our behavior, our character is something that is actually reflective
1:02of our belief in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Nothing is heavier on the believers' scale on the day of judgment than good character. Look at all of these Hadiths and there's many more, emphasizing how important good character is. The Prophet of al-Asat al-Salam, he actually said that through someone's good character, they can reach the level of someone who fasts during the day and prays during the night. Imagine the amount of effort you'd have to put into fast all day and then stand up and pray all night. Just by having good character, we can reach that sort of status. Okay, on the day of judgment, it's going to be the heaviest thing on the believer's scale.
