Guthrie's Opens New Hoover Location

This marks the company's 34th location in the state and the 4th in the Birmingham Metro area. The spot sits at 1-817 Montgomery Highway, right in front of the River Chase Village Shopping Center. Local owners, HUD Guthrie and his partner Chris Witts, run the place. This opening comes nearly a year after their Vistavia Hills restaurant debuted. It also follows more than three years since the US 280 location launched and drew huge crowds that jammed up traffic. Like all Guthries' eateries, it offers hand-bredded chicken fingers, fresh chopped coleslaw, crinkle-cut French fries, Texas toast, and that famous dipping sauce. Company leaders are thrilled to expand in the Birmingham area with this family-owned vibe and classic Southern recipes. The signature sauce traces back to a recipe HUD Guthrie, whipped up as a 10-year-old.

Today, the chain runs more than 70 spots across 12 states. Hoover residents now have easy access to those time-tested favorites, keeping the traditional life for new crowd of fans.
