On March 2nd, here's the latest out of Tampa Bay. A major redevelopment is underway in North St. Petersburg. The 65-acre former home shopping network headquarters is set to become one of the area's biggest industrial parks. Graystar, America's top multi-family developer, has the property under contract and plans over 400,000 square feet of warehouse space on. The Eastern 41 acres at 2,500-1118 Davenue North. The proposal heads to the Development Review Commission this Wednesday for site plan approval. If it passes, the sale closes later this year after permits. Plans for the remaining 24 acres remain undecided. The campus house adjacent for 47 years until its parent company shifted operations to Pennsylvania earlier this year. Currently, it features parking lots and nine buildings, all slated for demolition to clear space for three new concrete warehouses of to 45. Feet tall. City staff recommends approval with tweaks like uniform building designs, brighter exterior lights, tree buffers around loading zones, and protected.
