Greg James' Epic Bike Ride for Comic Relief

0:00A March 13th, Radio 1's Greg James, has kicked off his 630-mile bike ride for comic relief. The challenge covers 1,000 kilometers through England, Wales and Scotland over 8 days, ending in Edinburgh. He'll tackle mostly solo 8-hour rides each day, with fellow Radio 1 presenters and special guests joining parts of the way. Fans turned out with banners to cheer him at the start line near Bristol, where he punched the air in his red nose before pedaling off. This marks his third major comic relief effort, after completing five triathlons in five days back in 2016, and the pedal to the peak's climb, and cycle two years later. The 40-year-old had vowed it would be his last, but came back for this one. Earlier this week, he shared that his dad suffered a stroke after heart surgery, but is improving and urged him to keep going.
