Grant Morgan Joins Jaguars Defense

The Jacksonville Jaguars just added a familiar face to their defensive coaching staff. They are bringing on Grant Morgan as a defensive assistant, according to reports from CBS Sports. Morgan knows the team well from his playing days. He signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted rookie linebacker right after the 2022 NFL draft. Before that, he started Arkansas as an all-American. In coaching, he has worked at the college level with Illinois, and in the NFL, with the New York Giants, also as a defensive assistant. His background might mean he helps out with the linebackers, too. He joins Anthony Campanile's group, which stood out last season for forcing turnovers and stopping the run better than anyone. During the team's eight-game winning streak to close the year, they kept opponents under 15 points per game. Being ahead, the defense wants to give better on third downs and create more steady pressure of front for bigger sacks next season.
