Gophers Face Rutgers in Big Ten Tournament

Injuries have hammered the roster, leaving them shorthanded with starters logging over 35 minutes per game and almost no bench-depth. Coach Medved shifted to a two-three zone defense to dodge fouls and a slower offense to manage minutes. It's forced a total rethink of their game plan. Medved calls it a tough but rewarding challenge, unlike anything he's faced before. Their NIT ranking sits at number 74, which could open doors to events like the new Crown Tournament if they missed the NCAA field.
