This is Corey, here with your quick two-minute global update. Google Maps is getting a big upgrade powered by Google's Gemini Artificial Intelligence. The redesign aims to help over 2 billion users worldwide, figure out where to go, and the best way to get there. Announce this week, it adds two key AI tools to make navigation smarter and more intuitive. One new feature, as Maps, builds on chat-like queries already in the app. To suggest spots like nearby chargers, quick cafes, or full road trip plans with stops and side trips. These come from a massive database of over 300 million places, and 500 million reviews built up over more than 20 years. Meanwhile, immersive navigation brings a three-dimensional view to driving directions. It highlights landmarks, road dividers, and terrain to help drivers get their bearings fast. Google says improved safety checks prevent AI hallucinations, like fake locations. The tools roll out first on mobile apps for iPhone and Android in the United States and

India, with immersive navigation also hitting car play and Android Auto in cars there. No word yet on ads influencing suggestions. This push follows Gemini updates in Gmail and Chrome, showing Google's bet on its latest model amid fierce AI competition from players like OpenAI, expect wider roll out soon.
