Cat move This adds a proven talent right in the middle of their linebacker group. Edmonds had one year left on a four-year, 72-million-dollar contract with the Bears, but no team bid on a trade so he hit the market free and clear. Fans and analysts see this as a smart pick-up for a defense-needing stability. Edmonds started his career with the Buffalo Bills, drafted 16th overall in 2018. Out of Virginia Tech.
