Gavin White's Impact on Calgary Wranglers

The 23-year-old Right Shot defenseman came over in an A.H.L. trade from the Texas Stars for Jeremy Porier. Drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 4th round, one-difteenth overall in 2022, White brings championship experience from two OHL. Titles with the Hamilton Bulldogs and Peterborough Peats. White spent his entire pro career up to now in the A.H.L., mostly with Texas, and he's in the final year of his entry level deal. A quick skater who grew up relying on speed as a smaller kid, he now uses it to excel on the back check and keep up with fast forwards. He prides himself on penalty killing and solid defense while chipping in offensively when possible. On the score sheet, White has kept a consistent pace with 11 points over his first two A.H.L. seasons, and this year he has five points, all with Texas.
