0:00On April 26th, a 46-year-old dad named Gavin White discovered his nonstop thirst was a rare sign of a deadly brain tumor called glioblastoma. Back in July 2023, he collapsed in a seizure on a family-beach vacation in Greece, and doctors gave him just 6-14 months to live. He rushed back to the UK for scans at Befford Hospital, confirming the aggressive tumor. They transferred him to Adam Brooks in Cambridge for an awake craniotomy, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Nearly three years on, his tumor is stable. Gavin runs his own automotive business in Beffordshire, and stays positive, living scans a scan with a real chance the cancer could return. He's turned that mindset into action, raising over 100,000 pounds for brain tumor research with help from colleagues and friends. He's already crushed the Milton Keynes marathon in May 2025, which kept him fit through treatment. Now he's training for the TCS London Marathon to boost those funds even more.
