Gamecocks Stun Aggies in Series Win

They kicked it off with a three-to-one victory in Game 1 on senior night, then dropped the tight one-to-two heartbreaker in Game 2, before sealing. The deal with another two-to-one thriller in the finale. Pitching was on point across the board. Jury Hurd dominated Game 1 with a complete game-shed-out effort except for one run, striking out six. Emma Friedle went the distance in Game 2 with nine strikeouts, but couldn't quite pull it out. Hurd started Game 3 strong, too, and the team rallied in the bottom of the seventh, with walks and a key error to walk it off. Coach Ashley Chastain Woodard was emotional after the series, saying her team grinded all year for this and believed from the jump.
