Gamecocks Crush Georgia Southern, 13-3

0:00On March 19, the number 21 South Carolina softball team dominated Georgia Southern with a 13-3-3-run rule victory on Wednesday, night at Beckham Field. The gamecocks jumped out to a huge early lead, scoring all their runs in the first three innings thanks to strong hitting and capitalizing on the Eagles defensive mistakes. South Carolina poured on the offense right away, piling up runs with timely singles, doubles, walks, and sacrifice flies. They added even more on triples and wild pitches, while aggressive base running kept the pressure on and extended their innings. Georgia Southern finally got on the board with three runs in the fourth, loading the bases on walks and getting some timely hits. But South Carolina's pitchers settled in after that, using a deep bull pin with several arms to shut down any comeback and end the game early.
