In today's episode of the Wheeler and Tyler Podcast, the era of "Guaranteed Gaga" comes to a screeching halt. Dave is officially back in the studio after a sick day, and he's jumping right into the fire as the guys break down their latest "discussions" with the boss over the playlist. The subtitle "Gaga is Not Guaranteed" says it all—tune in to hear the finale of the streak and why the guys are currently at odds with management.
Beyond the radio drama, the duo dives into the viral new Harry Potter trailer and the bilingual hurdles facing Air Canada. From the serious local news involving Councillor Russ Wyatt to the bizarre reveal of KFC's "Pickle Puffer Jacket," no stone is left unturned. We also wrap up a massive night for the Winnipeg Jets against the Avalanche, celebrate another 10K Payday winner, and discuss why Wikipedia is officially declaring war on AI-generated articles.

And it was you could expect an awesome song at the same time.
We're fighting with the bus, and this is not a joke. We're in the weeds.
We'll tell you exactly why, and you're going to be just as angry as we are. Believe me when I tell you,
just as angry. Yeah. I'm not happy. But I can tell you right now I'm not happy.
To add some, I said this yesterday on the show that I was going to need help.
You didn't tell them though? No. Okay, because I literally, I, yeah, I didn't want to get fired.
Let's speculate from waiting for you. Let's let you speculate on why we're fighting with the
boss and believe me when I tell you you're all going to be, well, I'm assuming the majority of
you are going to be on our side, hopefully, on this one. If not, then maybe I'll just quit. And
you know what, maybe this is going to be worthy of an HR meeting. The fact that we're bringing
this up on the air, but don't care. It's, yeah, I'm not going to lie. Like he said not to.
What are we, what are we fighting about with the boss about? It's just also funny. He told us not
to and like the very first thing we're carrying is bringing it up. We'll tell you, as we get closer
to seven o'clock, but yeah, we have to bring some, bring some humor to kind of bring us down a
little bit off this off this heat score. So why are we fighting with the boss? Yeah, wrong answers
only because our ratings are just too good. He is just so mad at us. He can't handle the success.
204-452-1061 on the Finn McCool's text line will reveal your submissions coming up at the
bottom of the hour. And then we'll tell you about it after music news you can use. Yeah. And,
and yeah, all I said was that it does change the show. Oh, dramatically. Yeah, dramatically. So,
204-452-1061, why we fighting with the boss? Get your answers in right now. Apologies about yesterday.
Believe me when I tell you, it was better that I was at home. You sound a million times better today.
I'm still on some meds to kind of get me over. I woke up this morning at about 75%. The meds
got me to about 89%. So I'm going to spend the weekend and get real, real better. What a good
reminder to take a day if you need it. But, honestly. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to put it to you
this way because I don't want to sound like I'm a would-do baby. I don't get sick very often.
But when I do, I go down pretty hard. Yeah. Okay. For me yesterday, it wasn't, I wasn't coughing.
As far as the everything was from my cheekbones up. Like, my head felt like a helium balloon
that was overinflated. Weird. The amount of congestion that I had. Every time I move my head,
I could literally feel like this bowling ball bouncing from one side of my cranium to the other.
That's so weird. And I'm not a guy that normally gets headaches. Headaches are very rare for me.
Reminds me that there are human beings in this world that deal with headaches on a regular basis.
I had a roommate in college that had chronic migraines to the point where he'd have to go into his
room, lay down in his face and just literally pull a pillow over his ears because the migraines
are so bad. They're horrible. Honestly, my heart goes out to you for anyone that has
headaches on the regular. I couldn't imagine going through my life with what I had yesterday.
Yeah. It puts into perspective, hey. Man. Yeah. Mama car deals with some of them. Really?
Not terrible migraines, but I thought those were called loids.
Yeah. Husbands. That's what the women call them. Husbands. Not headaches. Husband aches.
And she'll take an ad bill every now and again, but yeah, they just like coming waves. Man. Oh,
man. Yeah. I mean, I woke up with one today, but it was just because we drank a box of wine
last night at Survivor. See, those are self-inflicted and those are better. Those I have no sympathy for.
No, I took an ad bill. It's gone. But for the people that just have them in their hereditary
or their part of your day to day, oh, I just might honestly, my heart goes out to you.
Yeah. My brain goes out to you. Yeah. Because they suck. That it's not it, especially when
in Alberta, when those Chinooks would roll through. Some people like the heat waves, they can
cause some massive migraines for people. I didn't know that. Oh, yeah. For example, this weekend,
it's warming up to like plus five. I'll get a headache. No. Yes. Because of the weather,
too. Yes. If it goes from like a minus to a plus. Okay. Does that happen when you get off the
plane in Mexico, though? Yeah. Yeah. Really? Yeah. It's fascinating. It's pretty dramatic.
Yeah. Again, they're pretty easily treatable. Like it usually is just like one ad bill,
so I can't really complain. And it doesn't happen every time. But if we go to like plus five for
like a couple days and then dip down to minus 10, I'll get a headache. No kidding. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. That's just something I can't relate with.
Christa says it's the barometer change of pressure that causes the headaches. I get migraines from it.
Okay. Okay. Thank you for making it science for me. Now I get it. Yeah. I don't. I mean,
no, I don't get it. So that's how that works. So you're like your brain swells or the I guess?
I don't know. Your brain juice? Like I'm looking at the temperature tomorrow. It's plus one. I'm
for sure going to wake up with a headache because it's minus 15 today. I'll tell you what I did do
is I sat in bed and look, I'm not saying I'm a medical professional consult your local medical
professional, but I read something years ago that made a lot of sense to me. A lot of sense to me.
It said, if you're not feeling well, don't eat. Don't eat. What? Well, look, and think about it
this way. Can you be feeding your body? No, no. Look, look at this way. Your body is in the process
of fighting. Okay. Yeah. It's fighting off an infection. But doesn't it need energy from food?
It already has energy. It's going to take what your body already has. Okay. So the idea is it's like
it's fighting. It's fighting off an infection. And if you feed it food, it's like, oh, you want me to
digest food for you right now? I'm in the middle of fighting something. All right. Fine. Well,
it says and half of our army over to go digest food. Next time I'm sick and I stop eating and I get
hangry and I take it out on Mitch. I'm going to get him to call you fast, fast, lots of water,
electrolytes, that sounds horrible. If anything, I'm not doing that. If anything's in like chicken
broth, if you can, chicken broth, but don't eat anything where your body's going to take that energy
and have to digest it, let it fight off the infection. That sounds horrible. It sounds horrible.
The last thing I want to be when I'm sick is hungry. I get what you're saying though. I'm not
dismissing it. I'm just saying if I'm starving and I'm sick, I'm a monster. I'll be honest with you.
It's one of the main reasons I was able to bounce back so quickly. Yeah, that's fair. Doesn't mean I'm
going to do a lot of science behind a man. I know. Again, I'm not dismissing the facts. I'm just
saying I don't want to do it. I did manage to watch a couple movies though. What'd you watch? I watched
a roof man. Oh, it was good. Yeah. Yeah. The one where he's in the Toys of Us. Yeah. Yeah. Watch
his name. Hotty McHott. What's his name? No, actually, what's his name? I can see his face.
Oh, Channing Tatum. Thank you. One battle after another. The Leo DiCaprio. One that was
his, for all the Oscars. Yeah, I passed. And I finished off a TV series that I've been waiting years
to watch. Yesterday we had Arthur Simeon on the show. Yeah, I saw the picture. Rumors comedy club.
He is funny. He's very funny. He is so funny. We were going off about movies and going at the
theaters and pet peeves because my parents are coming to the Super Mario Galaxy movie next week.
And I'm scared because their boomers are not going to know how to turn off their cell phone
owner. And I'm scared because it's the debut of the movie. And if my parents are the ones that
have their phones go off in the theaters, you'll never see me in the city again. So hiding from
embarrassment, hiding from shame. We do have a few tickets left over to go see Arthur Simeon
at rumors for today actually at 9.45 pm. It's two tickets. So it could be a date. You
in a plus one, doors open at 9 pm. If you want to be entered to win those, just throw us your
first and last name to 2044521061. We'll pick someone before we hit seven. Isn't that nice?
Dex didn't know. I saved one just for the early morning crew. Nice.
Start to our way to calendar. It's an annual Christmas gift courtesy of Mama Carr who deals with
Lloyd up in Swan River, Manitoba. For Friday, March 27th, 2026, I'd agree with you, but then we'd
both be wrong. Wait, what? With Wheeler and Tyler on energy 106.
Star Trek. Yes. Familiar with it? Um, not really, but yes.
What do you know about it? Um, I know that it's in a spaceship and I've seen clips of it. Family
guys spoofed it once upon a time. Oh, yeah. So I've seen that. Aside from that, I think they have
like a weird hand signal that they do. That's all I know. This one? Yeah, that live long and prosper.
Yeah, that's the other bulk in one. Mm-hmm. This show's been on forever. I know it's iconic. Oh,
it's been Gene Roddenberry launched this back in the 60s and it's been on forever and it's had a
whole bunch of different shows from next generation to deep space nine to, I mean, the list goes on
and on and on and on and on. Paramount decided that they were going to really dig in and come out
with some shows and they came out with one called Starfleet Academy. Okay. The idea was is that
and this is part of the lore of Star Trek is that in San Francisco, that's where they train all
of their astronauts and train all of their Starfleet Academy and aliens and Klingons and for Klingons.
Klingons, yes, yes. Klingons are Klingons. There are a race of warriors. They are battle warriors.
Got it. And this show they truthfully could have went on forever because the ideas they were
dealing with the with the teenagers, the ones that were training, right? So it wasn't a group out
in a ship like they could roll over their cast for years and years and years. They could they could
have ran this thing forever. Well, they're canceling it only after the five episodes. They they
filmed season one and season two, but five episodes in and with the with an audience score of 87%
on rock and tomatoes. They're canceling it because the critics are saying it's too woke.
Here's a clip from the trailer. It doesn't give away of a lot of the wokeness, but
have a listen to the trailer. Yeah, check it out. So go out and seek.
Explore.
It is my great honor to welcome you all to Starfleet Academy.
But okay. So if the fans like it, why would you not just finish the William Shatner,
who is the waste of money? Well, it's paramount. It's just like they've got bigger fish to fry.
Can't they just release the episodes? Oh, they will. They're planning to like all. So season one,
daring right now, season two. Fans are going to get season two, but then they're like,
that's it. They didn't order anywhere. Okay. Okay. Okay. William Shatner, who is the original?
Like, that's weird. They did all that work and they're not going to release the episode.
No, although they're releasing it. You're getting it. Got it. Got it.
William Shatner, the original James T. Kirk and the original television series, sent out a tweet,
and he was rather disappointed. He said, Star Trek exists in more than one world. It exists in
the fantasy of science fiction, weird and wonderful things that play unimaginable possibilities of
exploration and human endeavor, but it also exists in the fantasy of human beings, the perfection
of human. Let me summarize. Basically, he said, back in the 60s, we were doing stuff that was
considered woke, like having an on-screen kiss, which was very rare back in those days. Yeah.
And he goes, and just because he didn't say this verbatim, but like, there's drag queens on this show.
Yeah. There's some things he's like, it's just pushing the boundaries, which is what we've been
doing since the 60s. Yeah. This is kind of disappointing. And especially if it had a good rating from
not just the critics, but like obviously the audience. Well, the critics were kind of the ones
that were harder on it, but the fans loved it. And that's who you're trying to please. Literally,
if the fans like it, who cares? 87% Rob Manasberg. 87% is crazy. That is crazy. All right.
All right. Anyways, it's not like there won't be other Star Trek shows. Yeah, that's true.
Just not this one. I'm looking forward to reading these, and then we'll reveal exactly why we are
having a bit of a disagreement with the powers that V here at Energy 106, and that's putting it
mildly. I am. Yeah. There might be tears in about 15 minutes. We'll tell you about it.
Coming up after music news, you can use, but we asked the question bright and early this morning,
and you can still get your submissions in on the Finn McCool's text line at 204-452-106-1.
Why are we fighting with the boss? Eric says because Glenn LaRobot is too popular.
Jen says, we learn Tyler of fighting with the boss to have the right to clip their toenails on the
air. And then Jen says, I swear to the creator, if your management is trying to scrap Lady Gaga,
I will form a protest outside the station. We got another one saying, wrong answer, no more Lady
Gaga because there's a different station that plays more. I'm losing all my stuff here.
And I'm not reacting to any of these by the way. No, you can't because I don't want to give away.
Angelie says, you're fighting because you don't play enough Lady Gaga. You are fighting because you
both need to go and fill potholes. My wrong answer is you're fighting with Adam about who's got the
best booty. Aiden says you are guys are fighting to keep your jobs because they want to replace you
with AI hosts. Good luck. They wouldn't put up with this. The AI would have quit already.
Anyway, I think we should stop and say there's a lot, but we should stop. Why? Because we need to save
some time. We'll tell you exactly why we are at odds with management here at Energy 106 and
Ashley says you guys are just trolling us. We're not. Oh no, there is a change coming to the show.
There is a not joking. Rather a substantial change. Yes. Coming to Wheeler and Tyler. Yes.
And rather abruptly. Yes. We'll tell you about that right after music news. You can use coming up next
here on Wheeler and Tyler. Music news. You can use music is what is all about with Dave Wheeler.
4 March 27, 2026. A friend of ushers has denied reports that he is feuding with Justin Bieber.
Rumors began circulating that the pair got into an altercation while attending Beyonce and
Jay-Z's Oscar party earlier this month. The brat was on a radio show and explained that she spoke
directly with ushers. He said this is an exaggeration of conversation. They have no hostility towards
each other. They definitely love each other. So people just take things out of context when they see
something and they run with it. And I'm just here to say that is not the issue. Usher and Bieber's
relationship dates back to 2008 when Bieber signed with Raymond Braun Media Group.
The woman charged with shooting at Rihanna's home has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted
murder. Ivana, Lisette, or Teeze is accused of firing a semi-automatic rifle at the singer's L.A.
mansion when Revery and ASAP Rocky were at home. Nobody was injured. In addition to the murder
charge police A or Teeze had also been charged with 10 counts of assault with the semi-automatic
firearm and 3 counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling while she has pleaded not guilty.
If she is convicted she faces a maximum penalty of life in prisons.
And the BTS documentary The Return premieres today on Netflix and goes behind the scenes of the
K-pop giants as they make their highly anticipated comeback this year with all seven members
back together for the first time since a hiatus in 2022 after enlisting for mandatory military
service. The director of the BTS comeback film The Return has revealed that the project was
inspired by the Odyssey and Greek mythology. That's music news you can use for March 27th,
2026. I'm Dave Wheeler. The show is called Wheeler and Tyler. Despite our names being on the
moniker that does not mean we get to dictate exactly what goes on this show. We have a managing
brand director who ultimately gets to call the shots and we can kick and scream and mow
in all we want. He makes the final call. So believe me when I tell you we went to war over this
but ultimately the decision was his and it's not something that we can change.
We used to be the only radio station in the entire world to give you guaranteed Gaga.
And now we're just like every other station in the world where we are not going to be playing
guaranteed Gaga after this morning. The timing really sucks for a number of reasons.
I mean it's Lady Gaga's 40th birthday tomorrow. So what a cool way to celebrate her 40th
birthday then to remove the coolest thing. And let me tell you how this idea came up this
was like six years ago we were sitting around kind of brainstorming ideas for the show and we
used to do something on when I worked at Power 97 we used to call mandatory metallic and I said
why don't we do a guaranteed Gaga and your face lit up you went oh yes oh my god believe it
or not it was not my idea to do guaranteed Gaga it was wheelers and so we we slaughtered it at
seven o'clock and we've had a lot of people just love it. Love it. It's just fun. It's just fun.
People send in text that love we can get to Gaga every morning at seven a.m. and the boss felt that
it has run its course. So there it is. There it is. You know what sucks about this man is like
it was I know it's like oh it's just a Lady Gaga song but like you know I had people come
enough to me not them all and they'd be like hey I love this like I love when you play right on me
and I and it was just like something that we had it was just different nobody else was doing it
in the city you're hearing the same music on every radio station that was the one thing that was
not the same it was just different and it was you could expect an awesome song at the same time
every day before the loud line and it was just ours it was just ours it wasn't it wasn't it
weren't gonna hear yeah fate of a failure right you weren't gonna hear whatever else it was
specifically a special song for us and what we were doing and it just it just sucks look
speaking of the loud line don't bother don't bother I mean if you two or four four seven eight eight
zero four zero call if you want I don't think it's gonna move the needle much if you if you if
you really want to make if you really want to feel like your your voice uh is going to be heard
by the one that made this ultimate decision email our boss yeah a west a w e s t a west at
evanov dot com e b a n o v dot com yeah it just send us a text at two oh four four five two one
oh six one and I will send you his email I'm gonna be honest I don't know if it's gonna do anything
but at the end of the day I think this is thank you for the text um
this is more than just guaranteed gaga if we like we know we learn we know what our show is
and we're by the texts we're getting right now it's very apparent that the same love is shared
with the people listening right now and if we lose this what else do they pull out look as I
said I've been I mean we lost it today is literally the last day that you're gonna get guaranteed
gaga it is gone on my record we got a good one we got a good one for first and off yep I've
been doing this gig almost 30 years at this point I go whatever I know and that's that was my
reaction was I truly wasn't like super surprised and then it took me a second and I'm like it does
suck people are asking what they missed uh guaranteed gaga today is the last day no more no more
guaranteed gaga after today boss's choice yep there you go so send a text if you want to send
them an email we are not pressuring anybody to do so no but I I mean I would love it I would love
it anyways they said what are you gonna do at 7 a.m now it'll be whatever song is scheduled
probably whatever is at the top of the charts state of a failure as usual uh we'll do news we'll
do sports and then our guaranteed gaga the last one come on Ali coming up it's up I guess

but sharply decided he wasn't done working his shift yet
swatted up by Schifley that pass for Valardi set up
we're on the puck movement by the jets Schifley has another and it's a one goal game
despite Schifley putting the team on his back the jets fell three two in the final they
controlled the second period but strong isn't good enough to beat the best team in the league
the jess will try and reclaim those two points Saturday at 6 p.m. in Denver Winnipeg currently
five points back at the predators for the final playoffs spot with only 10 games left
pray for a miracle ladies and gentlemen yeah Manitoba Moose are in Belleville tonight and tomorrow

Wheeler and Tyler presents the loud line got something to say 204 478 80 40
not taking away guaranteed Gaga the one thing that I look forward to in the morning
oh we need to rally let's go
part of me feels kind of insulted I'm like really I think we're pretty good
that is that the only reason I mean I mean we're we're okay we're fine I kind of feel like
you know what it is you look like like like Gaga with the guaranteed Gaga was like the garnish yeah
on top of a great steak but that you need the garnish okay you know what I mean otherwise it's
just a steak yeah but you don't go home saying that was a great garnish you need that you need that
you need that like spice you know that's something special I'm trying like let's do a guaranteed
David getta just don't know if you're just tuning in today's our last day of doing guaranteed Gaga

now there's no station in the world that gives you guaranteed Gaga so there you go we're just like
every other radio station yep we'll just play one more call because I'm kind of over everything
good morning welcome to another Friday hey Marlon first I want to say thank Martha for the
birthday shout out really appreciated it and I do need to make it out there for golfing so I don't
know I like to know when I'm coming let me know and given that there was no podcast just today
what I'm assuming that Dave did fall ill to whatever was sneaking up on him the other day
I don't know if he's going to be there today or not but if you are home sick day get better
I am thank you I want to put my two bits in for Hail Mary Project I did see it this week it is
such a great movie so good definitely a musty for everyone agreed and I'm going to leave you with
this cute little story um there was two great white sharks spotted um so following a sinking ship
and it was a father shark and a sun shark and the dad says follow me son I'm gonna teach you how to
do this he says first we circle them with just the tips of our fins showing so that's what they
did and then he said okay now we're gonna do it again but this time with all of our fin showing
so they circled the survivors and then the father said okay and now we're gonna eat them and they
did after they were done the young shark said dad why didn't we just eat him right away and the
father shark said because my son they taste way better if you scare that crap out of him first
have a great weekend well done I needed that well done that's what I needed thank you
don't laugh line just be in person keep pepele uh uh 12 long I know I'm personally can speak three
languages uh okay I grew up speaking French immersion my parents thought it was very important
I keep my my parents grew up in eastern Ontario uh in Cornwall Ontario and so they're therefore
they're heavily influenced a lot of French in the area there still is a lot of French in the area
and so when I grew up in northern Alberta they forced me to take French immersion which I didn't
know any better at the time but I found I found myself I was like I don't need French like I'd never
used it outside of school it didn't come hand it come in handy until after graduation and I got
some really cool opportunities because I could speak French and because the French then I decided
to learn Spanish and so I'm now tri-lingual and I'm very proud of that and I'm very proud of the
fact that we are a bilingual nation I think that's really cool uh to keep Pierre Elliott Trudeau
was actually the one that said that we're officially a bilingual country oh I didn't know
was him yeah and which he's the reason why that we have to have French and English writing on all
of our products yeah which makes total sense yeah yeah I mean like the French were as influential
in in the colonization of Canada as as the English were and totally and so that's why we're a
bilingual country and there's there's lots of new languages that are coming into this country
on a daily basis and they're growing in popularity but that's a stance we are a uh two language
nation now the Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney who I'll be honest with you his French is not good
it's you know it's okay but it's not good he's he's kind of learning on the job that's it's kind
of a prerequisite to be prime minister that you have to be bilingual yeah and in the house he
struggles okay he struggles like is it embarrassing well I think a lot of French speakers out there
would kind of go you could do better yeah I mean he's working on it no yeah he's working on it
Justin Trudeau obviously grew up French in English um Stephen Harper's French was actually
strikingly good um Pierre Paul Yves is really good and like Sean Crachan who was French first
language so we've had a history of a bilingual speakers Mark Carney decided to call out the CEO
of Air Canada which is a federally regulated company because when he put out his notice about
the his condolences for the two pilots that lost their life at LaGuardia last Sunday yeah he only
did it in English and so the but and and weren't want to correct me if I'm wrong is one of the pilots
not French well they're the flight was from Montreal to right okay yeah yeah yeah um and so uh he
said uh the people found out that the CEO isn't even a French speaker and so he kind of said
Carney said it's kind of an embarrassment and you know he should be put have somebody put in there
and I kind of thought it got me thinking it got me thinking because it's like well I understand that
Air Canada is a federally regulated company where most companies are provincial um like when
you have telecommunications uh they're federally regulated as well as um banks fair lines
is it mandatory no it's not it's it's not maybe for some job it's not manageable question mark
well the question is I mean so if you're a business owner across the country does that not
I mean if you're saying the Air Canada CEO has to be by has to be bilingual then does
every business owner has to be bilingual like is it straight across the board and it's kind of
got me in this this this bit of a pull and tug is it is it giving okay wait wait okay sorry I'm
trying to digest this but like it's almost giving a little politics is it not like is it not
giving like a like I don't know I don't know I don't know like what part I like it is political
but what what part I don't know but it's just like I said of honoring it's kind of a tragedy
it absolutely is a tragedy right so why are we not focusing on those that die yeah I
and the well that then that's what Karne was saying he goes it was disrespectful not to be not to
give condolences in both languages and would which in turn you're right yeah it did make it very
political that's what I mean like but it kind of kind of kind of kind of got my head spinning right
now going well I mean I know it's mandatory to take FSL in school which is French second language
but I mean the class that you took I know you took it's mandatory yes do you remember anything no
it's kind of a waste of time really yeah because you're you're one class no I don't
week or whatever it is is really not moving the needle as far as French speaking in this country
I know people personally I got actually really frustrated in grade six taking French and it wasn't
because I didn't want to learn it it was just I couldn't grasp it there was not enough time
to understand it so if you're only doing it one hour a week and then you're not doing it any
hours of the week after that how are you supposed to really understand it and get it and then it
was more frustrating than it was enjoyable I think that was the turnoff was that if it was a
couple times a week and it was more like yep okay we're working on this we're doing this then I
would have I would have kept going well and that's why I think French immersion was actually a really
good thing because every single one of my classes outside of English class was in French right
right right like everything like myself studies was in French no ours was the one class and then
it was back to English for everything else and then it would be the one hour week and then you
would come back a week later and they'd be like oh say this and it's like it's been seven days
right that's good yeah yeah they're like well why weren't you practicing it well because I'm in
grade six right because I'm in grade six and I got home and I suddenly forgot everything oh
who are you going to practice with at home literally so okay I anyways holy holy holy curious to
know just a sad story holy man curious to know my bilingual speakers out there yeah especially the
ones who key a france is as you see empholta emphatty I don't know what you said is it important
to bring oh I thought you said bring back guaranteed kaga that too energy 106 presents

valve they actually denied a steam refund and it's going viral because a player was trying to
refund the game because the game used some generative AI and it wasn't disclosed until after its
release date but the refund was actually rejected because the player exceeded its two hour play time
limit keep in mind you can return a game on steam but if you've played it for more than two
hours you can't so they're saying it doesn't matter how much you've played the game after two
hours we're not refunding your money whether or not they disclose they used AI or not that should
be your research beforehand essentially for the record AI is used in almost every game not every

generative AI is when they use it for artwork or things like that it's a big difference

ticket payments, permits, and library services,
but it was all planned and should be good to go this morning.
Instagram and YouTube have been found liable

Take a listen.
Somewhere along the way we lost touch.
We used to be so happy just because I know you had your girl

What is your name?
Eric Hang on the line.
We'll grab some details from you off the air.
You're into the $5,000 grand prize draw.
The 10k payday.
I talked about this right off the top of the show,
but I want to talk about it again,
because I want to give a little bit of empathy.
There's a difference between empathy and sympathy.
Sympathy is feeling bad for somebody based on the circumstances.
Yeah.
Empathy is knowing exactly what exactly
what that person's going through.
Like maybe something that you've gone through.
Right.
Exactly.
So I can totally empathize with that or you sympathize.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
And yesterday I was really able to empathize with those
that deal with headaches on a regular basis,
because growing up as a kid saw commercials all the time
on TV for Asperin and Tylenol and Bear and all these.
If you have a headache, if you have a headache,
and headaches weren't just something that I dealt with.
Like, and then the people like my parents didn't really have
headaches.
Yeah.
I didn't really understand headaches.
And then one of my roommates in college, lucky,
had not just headaches, but migraines, like consistent migraines.
So the point where he had to go into his dorm room
and face down on the bed and pull the pillow
over both of his ears,
is because like any sort of noise or outside's sensory
was just overloading him.
And I never really understood it.
And I'm like, whatever you got to headache,
take a, take a, take a toll on him.
Totally.
But yesterday I had to take the day off
just because my head felt like it was a helium canister
that was too full.
Was it in pain, like big pain?
Like if I could get myself into bed
and it just kind of lay there and not move,
like anytime I move, like maybe had a bit of a migraine.
Anytime my head moved, it felt like a bowling ball
was being thrown on that side of my cranium.
Like there's times where I had to go
to the bathroom and I'm like, oh God, here we go.
And I would stand up and all of a sudden I would keel over
and I was like, oh my God, like the pain was just,
it was unbelievable.
And my heart really goes out to those that deal with
even just headaches on a daily basis.
Like it's just not really something that I could ever
empathize with, but very rare, very rare to ever get sick.
I get sick about once a year
and when I do, I go down hard.
Is it normally like this?
Like do you normally get like a migraine?
No, not necessarily.
Is this your first time getting one like this?
No, I remember during the pandemic, I got quite sick.
It wasn't COVID.
Yeah, but it was, it was very like incredibly,
like it felt like somebody had an ice pick
it was jamming it into my temples.
If somebody says, I have a headache or I have a migraine,
I'm immediately like, what do you need?
Because it just, it hurts so bad
and it just puts you into such a bad mood
because there's nothing that you can do
until it goes away.
You can, sure, you could take stuff for it,
but until you've, you really rest
and it just doesn't go away.
I know this sounds odd,
but I had told you on Wednesday morning
that I had taken a couple of night quill overnight
to help me sleep and it didn't really help.
Yeah, I mean, it helped take away the congestion.
I was taking daytime yesterday, like daytime quill,
day quill, okay.
And it got rid of the congestion
like in through my sinuses and whatnot,
but it didn't get rid of the headache.
I almost kind of feel like, did it make me just focus?
Like, okay, we got rid of the congestion
now just focus on the headache.
Maybe.
I don't know what the answer is.
Like, are you feeling better today?
I feel, I came in this morning about 75%.
I took a day quill before I came in this morning
to get rid of that congestion.
I don't have a headache, thank God.
Okay.
But it was debilitating.
Yeah.
Actually, it was like, that's the best way
to describe it, it was debilitating.
So for those of you that your day-to-day
is surrounded with headaches.
I don't know.
God bless you.
Yeah.
I set it on the top of the show,
but I had a headache this morning
from drinking a box of wine last night
with my friend, we were watching Survivor.
I'm just happy to report the mine has also gone.
Happy to hear that.
Yeah.
Look, really cooking.
Where we go?
How's our girl Genevieve doing in Survivor?
She's actually doing pretty good.
Yeah, she's doing pretty good.
She survived again, so we're happy.
Okay, I have a feeling she's gonna do really good.
And she's got a Billie Eilish and a Phineas Eilish,
a Billie Eilish boomerang idol.
She doesn't have it right now
because she sent it to someone else,
but if they get voted out, it goes back to her.
Because it's the boomerang.
So she gets it.
She sends it away.
If they get voted out with it, she gets it
and gets to play.
Is that the second item in her box
and she's got three shells in the first option?
Sure.
Yeah, whatever.
A brand new trailer dropped yesterday
that has the internet just swirling.
Oh my, it's huge.
Try the Rick and Morty do Quill Mix.
Mountain do and day-quill.
What in the hell?
Nice reference to whoever that was.
What?
Is that a real Rick and Morty thing?
It's a Rick and Morty thing.
Okay.
Huge trailer dropped yesterday.
Well dissected, coming up next and wait, what?
Wait, what?
With Wheeler and Tyler on Energy 106.
Okay, Tyler Carthus dropped yesterday
and the internet?
Well, they had a lot to say.
I'm about what?
Go ahead and play it.
I always wanted to know about my parents.
Your parents were the kindest, bravest people I ever met.
They were funny and in clever.
They stood up for what they believed was right.
The next time I see you,
we'll be in Hogwarts.
This is the new Harry Potter show.
This is the HBO Harry Potter series.
Right.
So each season will be one of the books
instead of getting one movie.
You're getting an entire series.
And HBO said it's an HBO original.
People like it's not an original there
or the movies before.
The internet's pretty divided.
Well, I wouldn't even say divided there.
I'll kind of say in the same thing.
The tone and the feel and the outfits
looks almost exactly like the movies
just with different actors.
And so do we not like that?
Well, it's not a complaint.
Well, people were kind of hoping
for if you're going to redo it,
try and make it a little bit different.
But if you're going with the source material,
you can't deviate too much.
Right, because the movies do, they still hold up.
The movies still hold up and that's another thing.
If people are like, do we really need this?
Now, the explanation, it's not about whether you need it
or want it.
It's whether or not it's going to make money.
Right.
And it's going to make money.
And HBO has said that, look, when it came to the movies,
there's a lot of things like any,
my wife and I were actually talking about this yesterday
because she goes, you know, every single person
that has read the book Project Hail Mary tells you,
like, yeah, I love the movie, but I read the book.
It's always with, but I read the book.
Right.
Now, if you've read the books, the Harry Potter books,
totally.
The movies left out a lot of detail.
The HBO has said, we're going to fill in all that detail.
You're going to get the entire thing.
You're going to get an entire, we're not going to spend
two hours on it.
We're going to spend numerous hours,
really making sure we get everything right.
So think of this more as an extension,
right, rather than a reimagining.
I have the trailer up right now.
It looks like Harry Potter.
Yeah, with different actors.
Yeah.
I mean, even the house that Harry grows up in
looks pretty much the same down to the wallpaper,
but again, JK Rowling, very descriptive in her text.
And so they're trying to reflect the text more accurately,
even more so is JK in this, like, is she involved
with this at all?
Well, I mean, she had to give her blessing.
I'm sure, but I don't think she was a consultant
by any stretch.
Who's acting as Harry Potter?
I can't remember the actor's names.
They're all nobody's.
Like, we have never seen any of these kids before.
Like, I've never seen them before.
But here's the thing, no different than Daniel Radcliffe
and all of those.
We're literally going to watch these kids grow up,
stranger things.
Totally.
That's what this is going to become.
And even more so, like, we are going to watch them
go from children to almost adults
by the time this is done.
Oh, that is like stranger things.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
officially drops on HBO coming up.
Yep, when?
This December.
Oh, still a while away.
Yeah, and it'll be episodic.
They haven't said episodic.
They haven't said if they're dropping the entire season
all at once, or if they're going to drop it episode
by episode week by week.
They haven't disclosed that yet.
I'm assuming it's going to be week to week.
You're a wizard, Wheeler.
I'd like to be.
It's time for an Euclisias.
Like a national day.
Don't turn that dial.
Just stay.
It's a radio cliche.
Yes, well, other than every other radio station
and the entire world's been an entire day on this week
cram it into a minute and 30.
Go.
Blackpink in your area, Lisa birthday.
Lisa.
Lisa's Lisa.
Oh, Lisa from Blackpink.
Oh, oh, geez.
27.
29 today.
Halle Bailey.
Halle Bailey or Halle Berry?
Halle Bailey.
Which one's Halle Bailey?
I know Halle Berry is.
Who's Halle Bailey?
Yeah, singing with, after singing with Beyonce's
Parkwood Entertainment blah, blah, blah.
She was in the little mermaid.
Oh, right, her.
OK, I know the name's out of familiar.
She's 26?
Yes, she is 26.
All I want for Christmas is Mariah Carey.
It's her birthday.
54.
She's 57 today.
We're also mentioning Lady Gaga's birthday tomorrow
because she's turning 40.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday, Gaga.
Stephanie German.
By the way, if you didn't hear earlier on in the show today,
Guaranteed Gaga officially canceled due to management
decisions here at energy 106.
No more Guaranteed Gaga at 7 a.m.
We used to be the only radio station in the entire world
to give you Guaranteed Gaga.
Now there is no radio station anywhere in the world
that gives you Guaranteed Gaga, which is a crime in itself.
Yeah.
You know, well, yeah.
You know what I'm really upset about when it comes to that?
What?
It's just like radio in 2026.
You can flip to different stations and kind of, you know,
hear the same music.
That was like the one time where we were just doing something
really different.
I would put that right beside the five o'clock energy mix.
You know, it kind of takes away the whole idea of it
being Guaranteed because, you know, like, we Guaranteed you.
Yeah.
And we took away that Guaranteed.
It's kind of like when you go to return a steam game
after two hours, I'm just upset by it.
Feel free to text in at 204452106 on your unhappiness
because it helps me.
I don't even want to talk about these national days.
It's national boss will disappoint you day.
How about that?
It's national boss will pull the fun things under the rug day.
Keep going, keep going.
I like this, isn't it?
I'm just good.
National boss will take the thing that you love at 7 a.m.
and cancel it without really any meetings.
Look, when it comes to-
I'm probably gonna get in trouble.
When it comes to authoritative power,
you're allowed to be mad, but you're not allowed
to be surprised.
National text 204452106 on your disappointment
so I can forward them to Adam West Day.
Is that a fun day?
Yeah, it's an email, too.
Yeah, he does.
Again, I'm probably getting in trouble for this,
so I don't even know why it's worth it.
Okay.
Wheeler and Tyler.
And that's pretty much the only Guaranteed
you're getting on this show from Moss of the fact
that my name is Dave Wheeler, and that's Tyler Carr.
Everything else?
Who knows?
Wheeler.
Even that's how you Guaranteed.
That could be taken away at any point.
Wheeler.
What?
I appreciate what you're trying to do,
but like, we are gonna get in trouble.
I've dude, we're already in trouble.
I know, but like, I live in trouble.
I appreciate the texts and calls.
It is like-
Yeah.
Oh, I made it worse.
Damn it.
What?
I got a string coming out of my-
Just a terrible day.
That's how it feels.
That's it.
Yeah.
If you don't know what we're talking about,
we've been having a funeral all morning long
as a time-honored staple of this program.
No one has Guaranteed Gaga played its final passage today.
That's seven a.m.
As management here at Energy 106 has felt
that Guaranteed Gaga has ran its course,
and they are replacing it with nothing.
Just music.
Just you normally would hear it.
Just usual programming.
Regular everyday programming that you-
The amazing programming that you hear every other hour of the day,
we will continue to play it for you at 7 a.m.
in place of Guaranteed Gaga.
Yeah.
Tyler says, distraught as you can imagine.
It's just, it's, yeah.
I, at this point, my career go-
Whatever.
I know.
Above my pay grade.
It just sucks.
It just sucks.
Yeah.
Because, yeah.
Do I have a second?
Take as much time as you want, man.
It's a funeral.
It's just, it sucks because I didn't personally ever receive any complaints about it.
All I ever had were people coming up to me saying,
Hey, you could play this song or you could play that song.
It was more of like a community where it was like we were excited for it.
You know, there's so much going on in the world right now.
It was like three to four minutes of just,
let's just have fun.
This beat is sick.
I want to take a ride on your disco stick.
You know, like nobody,
nobody actually cared about life for that time.
And we at the same time knew it was a safe space for a good song that we all were excited about.
And it's gone.
And it was just like pulled under the rug.
And now I'm scared.
I'm scared because we were told not to talk about it.
And we're talking about it.
So now I know that it's like it's going to be 10 times harder to get it back.
And it's not even about playing the Lady Gaga song.
It was just about being excited.
It was about looking forward to something.
It was, it was awesome.
And I appreciate you, Wheeler,
because you were actually the one that came up with the idea.
And I was shocking to a lot of people that, oh my god, Tyler wasn't the one.
No, it was Wheeler.
And then every morning I got excited to play a song.
I got to pick it.
What if we replace it with like certified swift?
Trusty Taylor.
We are getting like, I'll be honest.
There's a lot of emails coming through going to Adam West.
I've support for it.
And I guess I, the question becomes if they can just remove that.
What else do they change?
Suddenly, what else happens?
What else is going to be removed?
Not probably me.
No.
Then that would, no, no, actually, no.
Let's be honest.
If you play, if odd makers were doing this, I'm probably the next to go.
That's what I mean.
Like, trust me, we tried.
We tried.
You tried more than me actually.
There were a lot of battles in the corner office over the past, past couple of weeks.
And the decision was, it's run its course, but did it?
Nobody was complaining about it.
I didn't get a single complaint, man.
Not a single one.
And I can understand if people were sick of it, but it's not like Lady Gaga didn't release
new music recently and that we weren't adding new music and trying to keep it fresh.
Hey, you know what the good news is?
We still have jobs.
I know.
For now.
And guess what?
For now.
The paycheck still clears.
Thankfully.
Yeah.
For now.
It just, you know what I mean?
Yeah.
Look, I get it, man.
Look, I get it.
The show was sometimes when they changed the color of the paint in the hallways at the
office, you know, you kind of go, why did they do that?
And then you get used to it.
You just get used to that paint color.
Sometimes we're in a similar situation.
You'll just get used to it.
But sometimes you just have to repaint the wall.
That's what he's doing.
No, but we need to.
We need to buy new paint and repaint that wall.
We need to like, I truly believe, man, if we let this go, I don't know what else is
going to change because like at the end of the day, there's only so much that you and
I can do.
It's our show.
We love it.
We talk to you every day on the text line and on the loud line and in person.
And we hear what you love and what you don't like.
And we do our best to try and cater to that and make it entertaining enough for you and
that you're going to love it and be, you know, start your day in somewhat of a positive
way.
And then decisions happen and we don't get to control it and then it feels like it is
in our show.
We've been making constant changes over the last six years.
Remember when we used to do talking movies with Brian LaTockey?
Yeah.
Remember when we used to do Candace Freight's Forrest Report?
Remember when we used to do weekly web rap?
Remember when we used to do this week of music history?
I know.
That's what I mean.
Like those aren't there anymore.
And people got used to it.
Maybe this is the thing where we're not going to buy.
Maybe it's the thing where we put our foot down enough and we can make a change and be
like, no, this is our show.
Like not just you and I, Wheeler, but you listening.
You know what I can guarantee you, Tyler Kerr?
What?
I can guarantee you that Super Spike is going down this summer.
Maple Grove Rapids Park, Feepee Dobson, Tiber Shop playing, always they'll do on the beach
party.
And we got passes to give away right now.
How about that?
I love it.
That's your you up.
I'm happy.
Thank you.
How are we doing this?
How are we doing this?

One, oh, six, one.
And we'll fix someone before we hit nine a.m.
Ha!
Ha!
Ha!
I'm glad I made you smile.
That was perfect.
As I always say, do I, wife?
Well, at least I could still make you laugh.
You did.
You did.
That was good.
That may be laugh.
That may be smile.
I'm happy again.
Thank you.

A sequel to Project Hail Mary is already being discussed.
The film has so far the biggest opening of 2026 in the box office.
Now, I know I can hear you collectively rolling your eyes thinking, oh God, wait a
ruin a good thing.
Andy Weir already said that he had an idea for a sequel in the book because they asked
him a question during an interview.
I think it was with Wired.
He's like, I'm not going to reveal that because if we do decide to do a sequel, he goes,
I want that.
Wait.
So the first movie covers the entire first book.
That's right.
Okay.
They would release the book first.
Yes.
The movie?
Absolutely.
Okay.
Taylor Swift, clean house last night at the iHeart Radio Music Awards.
This album probably also feels very happy and confident and free because that's the way
that I get to feel every single day of my life because of my fiance who's here to
all.
Oh.
Oh.
Thank you.
Thank you.
She's such a millennial.
Look at this at the end.
So thanks for all the vibes.
Thanks for the vibes.
Thanks.

President Barack Obama.
Virginia, we are counting on you.
Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield
unchecked power for two more years.
But you can stop them by voting yes by April 21st.
Help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians.
Vote yes by April 21st.
Paid for by Virginians for fair elections.
