0:00Yeah, guys, welcome into Monday on TGS. No Dave. Dave is selling himself in Florida. Although I think he probably should have gone a week ago. He probably would have enjoyed it more because it's 70 something year. It's really nice. But it seems like he's having a pretty good time. It seems like he's having a blast and I just realized I forgot to post those photos that he sent us yesterday. So I will do that right now. So he he posted a photo of himself in the in the end. This will be on our Facebook page. He's in the broadcast booth with claves and Ricky. And then the other one is the power dinner, the power dinner. John Hancock, Michael Kelly, Ricky Horton, Tom Ackerman, Mike Claiborne. Yeah, they got that. They, I bet you they closed that place down. Oh, wait, he did say they closed that place down. Yeah, gee, I'm shocked that they would have closed the place down. What I want to know is who paid? Oh, that's a good. Or did they do splitsies, which would probably be the smartest way to go do some splitsies

1:03probably split because it's like, yeah, who would pay? Because those guys are joking around right? I mean, there are there are bottles of wine. I'm sure they didn't eat cheeseburgers. I'm sure they have it steaks or something along those lines. Hold on. I'm just going to ask Dave when we talk to him who paid. Mm hmm. Dave has this weird thing where every time he sends a photo, it's it's like he screenshots the photo. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah, so we have to like re crop. So when we do that. But he did. He was at the ball game. So this is first time down in Jupiter. So he was at the ball game the other day. I'm sure they're going to go to the Cardinals games every day. And then Wednesday night, it sounds like they've got tickets. He and Michael Kelly and Tom Ackerman to go to the world baseball classic game between Venezuela and the Dominican, which is going to be insane. Man, that's going to be really cool. I told him, you know, I've been a Jupiter before. It's cool. You'll love it. I'm not jealous of that. Although I'm always jealous of being around baseball, but I am so jealous of Wednesday night. So jealous of what we got to get an update. We haven't heard from Dave yet. So we got to see how golf went today or if it ultimately did go.

2:09You know, I guess it depends on what time they went out, right? Because it's two o'clock there. So I don't know if they went out early or if they went out at like 10. If they went out at 10, they're probably still playing. We just posted those photos to the Dave Glover show Facebook page. If you would like to go check them out. Awesome. So you guys want to see what Dave's up to. I'm sure he'll send us more stuff as he's going through the weekend or through the week here. But he will be back next week. We're going to keep things. Well, I mean, as buttoned up as we can. Yeah. There's, you know, there's only so much we can do. You just do what you can. Knock it out and get things moving. And Andrew is here. Oh, I'm feeling better today. As a quick yeah. Yeah. I was just telling wheels, Andrew. I spent the entire weekend laying down. Like I literally was laying on the couch from Friday night until last night.

3:12So I was feeling pretty crappy all weekend. But today I feel a little stronger. I'm just still very tired. It's like, it's hard to gain ground on this one. Like, because even though I'm getting a little bit, it sounds like what Dave had, because Dave went through like two weeks like that. We're just like dragging him down. Well, in the Tony Scott was saying on Friday, he had something exactly like this. And it was, it was two weeks. But he said he felt a little better every day. It was just like, just kind of dragon. Yeah. So I'm feeling a little better. Andrew's still dragging. Is that what they meant? I mean, I think, I think it's hard to know what's just generally me not feeling good at the human being. And what is like an illness? Is it the cold or is it me? Yeah, this is just how I feel all the time. Andrew's like, is this what it feels like after 34? I will say I haven't felt I haven't taken anything besides I be profan in like some days. And I haven't felt like the need to. So because symptoms are getting better.

4:14You guys are going to need to laugh at anything today. It's going to be a coffin. I killed me on Friday. So I just showed it to you, right? Andrew, the TikTok video people forgetting how to skip. So that's a big trend right now on TikTok. Is people like, can you actually skip? Can you do it? And these highlight reels of people trying to skip are unbelievable. They're unbelievable. Like, have you ever moved before? This one guy, the one that almost killed rage is a guy who's teaming the other side of the room coming at the camera. He's a big man. Yeah. I mean, he's a big man. He's got to be, I find a peg at six, three, two, eighty. He's a big dude. And he starts to skip. And like his hands are flying everywhere. And then his feet are just like kicking out to the side. Yeah, his knees are making like a right angle ground. I mean, there are so many people trying to skip with straight knees. Have you never done anything? I saw some of them are funny because it's, you know,

5:17people that are maybe quite a bit older than the last time they skipped. And you can see that they're trying to remember to do it or how to do it. But it's stunning. But yeah, that almost puts you out, right? Yeah, because I was I started popping. And then that was me, which is maybe laugh and cough harder. Nothing's funnier than the misery of people around you. That, that, that, that, that real was pretty crazy, though. Good stuff. Yeah. Yeah. And there's a whole thing. So if you guys want to check it out and have a laugh, it's pretty great. It's pretty great to see how many uncoordinated people there are out there. I guess some people just don't know what skipping is. Yeah, you know, I, I feel like I would still be able to skip just fine. But I also, I was a little girl. I was skipping all the time. Like, I feel like boys probably stop skipping at a younger age than girls do, right? Probably because you don't do it as a game, right? Like, you know, they have the little squares and stuff. Yeah. The boys like, I'm not doing that. Right. I just know that, you know, it's, it's in my people's

6:20blood as a leprechaun. We were, we were born to skip. I used to do that all the time in stores when I was with my kid when she was in high school. Just skipping around. I did it while her, she and her friends thought they were being smart asses and they would call me the leprechaun. For, for obvious reasons, if you're watching the stream, you can see why. And then if I don't shave for a while, I really look like that. But then we were going through going through Target and a couple of her friends were like a few rows away and they saw me and they yelled out really loud. And I just kicked my heels and started skipping and my kid wanted to disown me. Which is one of the great pledges as a, as a parent is embarrassing your child, even for just a few minutes. That's great. See, yes, I have, I have skipping in my blood. Very nice. I want to see Andrew skip. Yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah. I've been skipping from way back. You still like a regular skipper. You guys are so young though, you shouldn't have like lost it. Yeah, it should still be I shouldn't have either. I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it's fine. I can't imagine.

7:24It's a difficulty. Mine is more of a momentum problem than anything else. Like stopping or getting going? Stopping. Getting going is fine. It like me on roller skates. Like it's got to run into something. Yeah. Stopping and probably just be like sort of a face down thing. I actually was skipping. I want to believe it when I see it because he also claimed that he could break dance at one point and then that just happened. I thought I could. Yeah. Yeah. I thought that the mental battle would be like half of it. No. No, it turns out the break dancing part is yeah. Yeah. That's a good battle. Over half of it. What did you think you could do? Warm. You thought you could do the warm. I mean, you couldn't do the warm, huh? Yeah, I couldn't do the warm. I'm not sure I've ever done that. I know I couldn't now. I was just a key gig. I'm like stiff as a board. I think there's no worm going on there. It's like a tremendous amount of training. I have no flexibility. Yeah. So they need a lot of core strength. It takes a lot of, I mean, I don't even know because I thought I could do it.

8:30And so I thought I did know what it took. Then I got down there and I want to see the video. It was just kind of flopping. I would, I would look like a two by four trying to do the worm. Just do stiff. I say flopping. It wasn't even flopping because in my head, I was like, boy, I'm really moving down here. It's all the video and I'm just like, just maneuvering in place. I do love that he felt like mentally that's the real challenge of believing that you can do it. If you can visualize it, I can do it. That's why the rest of the population can't do it. They just can't see themselves. They just can't, you just got a mind's eye. My god, my dude thinks he's Walt Disney. If you can dream it, you can dream it, you can do it. So I was like, all right, I can see myself doing this. And I think that's going to be half the battle. Yeah. Turns out it was not much of the battle. It's like one percent of the battle. It's like the last one percent, right? Yeah,

9:36it's like the least important. It's the least important one percent of the battle. I would think like flexibility might be the first part. Probably for me, that's what's going to do me in. And then, you know, some, some like core strength and certainly the technique, right? Because you got to get the momentum working. And then maybe at the end of that is the confidence, the belief in yourself. I also didn't even really have the confidence. Well, then you didn't believe it. Well, I could see myself doing it, but I wasn't, once I got there on the floor, I was like, I'm a little less certain. So I've never been able to do a cartwheel. Okay. I didn't take gymnastics or anything. So like my mom would always try to show me how to do it. And I just couldn't make it happen. And then you didn't trust it as what it was. That's probably the main thing. And then I just get all disoriented. They're like, kick your legs up. I'm like, what are you talking about? Like I, I don't know what I'm doing here. So a couple of years ago, when Katherine

10:38was still like pretty little, we went down the basement. She was trying to teach me how to do a cartwheel. And we're working on it. We're working on it. And I thought it was making progress. And then we go back upstairs and I'm in the other room. And I hear like my family saying to her, they're like, well, how did it go? Like, what was she getting it? And Katherine goes, not really. And I was like, oh, kids are the best. There's some really hard. I mean, it was 100% true. But I was like, I can't believe it. You didn't cover for me. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I understand how this whole thing works. Starting to figure out that I'm not cool. Yeah, I don't remember trying to do many cartwheels. We did all that stuff. Like we, I think David agree with this. Like people in our era were like, I can't speak for you guys, but I don't think my kid did much of this. We were just basically doing parkour before parkour was a thing. Like you would try to climb walls by just running up the walls, fast like get speed up and then try to grab the roof. And we would get up on the roof doing that.

11:39And we would jump the, you know, the little like four foot chain link fences. We would hit those. You just full speed running. And then you would just like dive at the top and you just flip your legs over. I mean, it was, that's all we did. We just did stuff like that nonstop for no reason, just because we wanted to see if we could. Of course, you also got hurt doing a lot of those things. Yeah. You know, there's a price, but you could do cool things. Did you ever get to go to like a trampoline park or anything like that? Not as a kid, but as an adult. Well, you know, when I was a kid, so there was a place not far from where my grandmother lived in Pennsylvania that was like an indoor place that had a couple of trampoline like, believe it or not, basketball courts, okay, that's fun. They were enclosed completely and would you one person on each side of a barrier and you're on trampolines. And then the basket, the hoop was way up high, probably 15 feet up high. And you would try to time it so you could score and not get it blocked. And if you're on one side, you're trying to time it so you could get there. That was a blast. Oh, my God. Was that a lot of work? Oh, I bet. But that was the closest thing to a trampoline park that we would have seen. And it was just a very limited thing. Yeah, I feel like those really sprung

12:42up like after my childhood. Yeah. And then it was like kids were going there all the time. They're just going bouncing around all day and day. And speaking of that, the highlights of adults in those things, pretty hilarious. People thinking that they're going to do all kinds of things, and then they're just not doing those kinds of things. That's pretty great. Kind of like what Andrew was talking about. They believed it, but they couldn't do it. Well, it's like I can picture myself doing a backflip. I don't have the skills. I do remember the first like flip that I did off of a diving board or pool thinking I was amazing. Like, oh, my God, I just did it. I am going to the Olympics. And then not so much. It's a little easier than you think it is when you got the little springboard underneath you. Yeah, I bet. You're thinking I just did this amazing thing. And it wasn't even a good one. I think I belly flopped. But I'm like, I did it. I got all the way around. They had a a celebrity diving show, like kind of back whenever dancing with the stars started. So then they were trying to do like all sorts of celebrity. I got you like competition show.

13:47But they would celebrities would like have teams and they would learn to do the high dive. Do you ever do the high dive off the big one? No, no, no. What is how tall is that? Is it like 20 meter tall? 20 meter. So 60 feet. You wouldn't do that. No, Andrew. I've done a higher one. I don't think it was like 20 feet or anything. 20 feet. What did you say? 20 meters. Yeah, it's the same. I think that's what it is. I don't know. I have to look it up. That's the same thing. I don't know. What is that like 50 feet? 60. 60. I'm looking it up now. I dive in feet. It is. Oh, it's 10 meters. So it's only 30 feet. Oh, that's nothing. That's not bad. I've done that. We had one of those in school at Miami for the actual diving team. And we just went for you. But I can't do anything off it. I just like jumped went feet first in the water. I'm just like, yeah, that's I would just be like a rolling off of it and falling in. You definitely don't want to roll. Well, it's a good thing. I see. That's how you lay back or your stomach and that really

14:49hurts. And that's no fun. You just go down like a toothpick. Just hold your hands to your side. And well, you don't hurt anything. That's DGS on Monday. Dave is in Jupiter. I'm sure we'll check him with him at some point this week. Although, you know, he talked about that last week. And then it's going to be like, you know, it is when you're on vacation, just like nothing else exists. He's having fun. He's having a good time. Man, I'm glad he's gotten to do it. Cause really if this is not a sales pitch by any means, but if you've never gone down to Jupiter and you're a baseball fan, you're a Cardinals fan, you should do it. Just find a final long weekend. Go down for a couple of spring training games. It's a different vibe. It's a different atmosphere. I mean, you're seeing major league players, but at a minor league ballpark. So everything's a little closer. Everything is a little bit more fun. You can get out on the backfields during the day, most of the time. You know, there's a fan entrance where you can kind of go and get even closer there to some of the action that's going on.

15:53So I highly recommend it. I'm glad Dave's getting to do it. And he's getting the VIP treatment, though, because he's with Michael Kelly. So Michael Kelly has a place down there and knows it incredibly well. And it's just a cool spot. So I'm speaking of all that. We'll be checking in with Tom Ackerman from Jupiter around 4 o'clock today. So we can get some answers about the dinner. That's right. I wonder Tom will tell who paid. He may just tell us whether it was a person that paid or if it was a split C's case. If I were him, I'd just be like, I did it. You know me. Everything I paid for everything. Honestly, it wouldn't be beyond Tom. It's kind of the kind of a Tom thing to do. He's a nice guy. So it wouldn't shock me if Tom did something like that. So Dave's having fun. He'll be back next week. We will hold it down throughout the course of this week and have some fun. I know one thing that sucks. And we usually start with kind of the serious stuff, the more serious news of the day. I don't think there's anything for any of us to add at the moment about like the actual military action that's going on overseas. But I know this.

16:55We're already feeling it. We're already feeling it. We just had one of the biggest bumps in gas prices in years up 50 cents a gallon in the last week. It's only going to continue to go up because of the disruptions for oil production in the Middle East. So yeah, we're all going to wear it. We're all going to wear it. And that's going to include eventually trickling down to how much food costs because food has to be transported. Everything has to be transported. It has to have fuel to pay fuel paid. So that always gets passed along to us. It's always going to get passed along to you. So when you see these things, whether it's tariffs or gas prices, we're going to wear it, man. The three hundred and forty three hundred fifty million of us that is walking around doing our things. We're going to wear it and we're going to wear it the most. When it comes to these types of impacts, that's not in any way comparing what our service members are going to have to put on the line if they're in the in the field or out in the Middle East, doing something, whether it's in support or actually conducting operations and of course nothing close to what their families deal

17:59with either hoping that their loved ones come home. So that's the worst part, but there is obviously more than that anytime you have extended operations as we found out with Iraq. We found that out about Afghanistan. We found that out about Vietnam. And yet keep finding ourselves in these situations, not all are doing obviously. But a lot of it is as we know from the past, a lot of it was not only unnecessary, but was poorly planned and ended up hurting us way more than it helped us. So hopefully this has a better end. I just don't hear anybody enunciating what they think that's going to look like or how they're going to get there. Well, we're pretty good at this part. You know, over the years, we've been pretty good at the first part, taking care of the initial mission, you know, knocking out objectives left out left and right. It's the later part that we've not been so good at. So I guess fingers crossed. Yeah, I guess we'll see what happens. I mean, I'm feeling pretty bad about the fact that there doesn't seem to be like a clear objective that

19:04it's like, okay, we accomplished this goal. So we're done. I mean, the broad objective is to make Iran a more friendly place to the West, right? That's the that's the primer. 20:06there. I can tell you that. I'm sure they're at all these games today. They can't be at both today, though. There's one at Roger Neen Stadium down in Jupiter. The other one is a road game. So the Cardinals are hosting the Orioles today. They're leading four to two in that one. JJ Weatherhold just hit another home run and he's destroying it this spring. So there you go, fans. If you're a Cardinals fan and you're looking for like what to get excited about this year, JJ Weatherhold is one of the things to get excited about this year. And then they're also on the road taking on the Houston Astros not far down the down the road in Palm Beach. And that one is three to two Houston. That is worth it. They just split up the team. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they all have 40, 50 people there. So he's half stay home and half go and they got all the minor leaders there too. So a lot of times we need extra players here. Five you five minor league players get on the bus. You're going to Palm Beach. Okay. Yeah. So they have they have more than a full major league roster for each of those games with the number of people that are still in camp. And even if guys get optioned out, which is already starting to happen, like over the weekend, Jimmy Crookes and a few others were sent out sent to minor league camp and assigned to Memphis.

21:07They will still play in these games. They just bring them back. So you're saying the odds of Dave being called on to bat is not great. Okay. Not great. Okay. The odds of him doing that are worse than the odds that you have of competing in break dancing. So higher than you expect. Does Dave believe in himself? Yeah. Does can Dave see it in his mind's eye. But I titled the stream this today, guys. Why does Garfield hate Mondays? He doesn't have a job. What would it be about Mondays that made him feel like unpleasant things? To me, it's like a Monday, the start of the, I got to go to school on Monday. I got to go to work on Monday. If you're just a little kitty cat lounging around the house eating lasagna. Yeah. What's the, what's the big deal? And this is not a criticism. It's just, it's true curiosity. Well, do you want to know the dark truth? Yes, I do. Yes, Andrew. Listen, now Garfield would never admit this, but consider who's going to go, who's going to be going back to work on Monday? Maybe it's just, it's, it's important for Garfield that everybody thinks he hates John, but then when John's going to go his way of having power in the situation. Yeah, but then when John's going to go back to work, oh, look who said, you know, who said his buddy there? Odie's fun. He hates Odie. He actually hates Odie. Odie is an idiot. Pookie is, is Garfield's beloved teddy bear. Oh, I didn't know you had a teddy bear. He's

24:10very cute. This says in a 1987 sequence when Garfield had amnesia, Pookie cried out a tear when Garfield did not want to play with him. Yep. I remember the, I remember that panel vividly. Wait, he had amnesia. Yeah. I didn't realize Garfield got this serious. So the 80s were kind of an experimental time for Garfield. The early Garfields, they've really settled into now, you know, we're not going to use words like lazy or, you know, crutches. We're not going to use words like that when we talk about, you know, Jim Davis is slightly more current writing. But he, he, he was, he's not as experimental as he used to be back in the day. Yeah, that's a little Garf. It's pretty heavy stuff, although I guess a lot of those comics were kind of like that, right? Because I always thought like peanuts was mopey. Mopey. I mean, it definitely, that's a good word for him. Garfield was never mopey.

25:11He just grumpy, right? Yeah, I mean, you know, I mean, he's the original grumpy cat. He's mad, he's, you know, he's mad now, you know, he retains the, he retains the sharp edge that we all value about Garfield. Yeah. What was the, oh, Heathcliff? Heathcliff is the, the knockoff Garfield, which I think actually came before the dollar general version. Or is it, oh, he was before? I think Heathcliff came before Garfield, but I'm not serious. What's the difference between them? Like, I feel like Garfield was like 1979. I saw them when I was a kid, I read the comic strips and the newspaper of both of them. So I know who they are. But like, I don't remember the differences because I blend them together in my head. Heathcliff comics are unbelievable. And I strongly suggest everybody look them up because it will be the weirdest, the weirdest thing. The punchlines never make any sense. They're all these. Yeah, I'm looking at one here. So it's, it's an adult human male and an adult

26:12human female. They're standing next to a couple of vending machines. One of the vending machines is for soda. One is for garbage. And in front of garbage stands Heathcliff, a raccoon, a mouse, a squirrel, a small dog. And the caption is, there's always a line for that one. So is there all animals that like to get into the garbage? Sure, but like, who is the point of that? Yeah, no. And that's on the funnier side. That's on like the funnier you could draw through line. I didn't, but Kevin managed to draw the through line of what the joke is there. And yeah, Heathcliff did come first by, by four or five years. So Garfield's a ripoff. So Garfield, well, no, because they're doing, they're doing different things. All right. Heathcliff is a man about town who's going around in the human world. And he's, he's doing things. He's doing things that aren't making a lot of sense. And then the humans are pointing it out. Okay. And it's, it's, it's not funny. And whereas Garfield is in a, Garfield has created a world. Garfield

27:19has story. It's ours. Garfield, well, no, it's not within the house. Does it? Well, a lot of it takes place in the house. Most of it, sometimes they leave, sometimes they go to like John's family. Okay. With John Boy and Doc and his other siblings and cousins and his, his adorable mother and grandmother. Sometimes they go to the vet. The vet. Yeah. Yeah. With Liz. Okay. You know, I do know Liz. I know Liz is the girl friend, right? Yeah. She'll a lot, actually. Yes. Liz is the super hot veterinarian that John is in love with. And eventually, she looks like John. Yes. Yeah. The super hot like I was saying. He just went all garth on us. As I was saying, super attractive. Who to sleep says regarding Mondays, Garfield probably woke up and looked at the news.

28:20I mean, there you go. To fill up his gas tank on the way to work and went, what the hell? No fun. Geez. You read it a few more comments like that, right? Hell, yeah. I think there's just the one right now for as far as the Chris Pratt Garfields. I think you're thinking of Bill Murray. There's several Bill Murray. I have seen all the Bill Murray ones. You know, they're not great. They're not great. They're kind of bad. I watched the beginning of like the first one and I couldn't finish it. I've somehow said this on the show before. But what Bill Murray is doing is just a very lazy impression of the original voice of Garfield from the 80s Lorenzo music. He's he's just Lorenzo. And of course, you know, what Lorenzo music's voice is kind of like Bill Murray's already, like you can definitely see a similarity there. But what Bill Murray is doing is just a kind of uninspired, you know, uninspired. Yes. How long are those movies? The Garfield movies? Yeah, just those kinds in general. Well, the extended editions are about three and a half hours.

31:29Of the trilogy. Yeah. Now, like, what's it? What do they, if you go to the movie theater? The fellowship of of normal to see some Garf, whether it's with Pratt or Murray or whatever. Well, how long are they? What kind of question is that? Because I'm trying to make the point that like an hour and a half. No one's finished. No one knows. I think taking a little like comic strip character and making full movies is probably too much. Yeah. Like a little 30 minute like TV TV show. All right. Yeah. All right. You probably got material there. But after a few minutes, like, I could you imagine like an hour and a half peanut special the worst and hours too much. Oh, man, speaking of the Lord of the Rings extended edition. Oh, I'm watching them again. I watched the return of the king on Saturday night. Oh, nice. The four hour version. Yes. And I'm sick. So I keep like falling asleep and waking up. I swear it took nine hours. I can't wait and I'm going like, I cannot believe this is still on. Pippin is still singing.

It's amazing to me that this had to be a story that it had to be something that was announced and written, but you guys catch that. And I know that as a person that's flown quite a bit here lately and flew a week ago, Dave's been flying here these last couple days. United Airlines is requiring people now to wear headphones if they want to listen to audio or watch a video. Why do we have to require that? How come you just don't have the common sense to just like everybody else? Nobody else wants to hear your crap. Put headphones on. Why? It's so sad that we have to have rules in place for what

34:37should just be common courtesy. Yeah, I was surprised that that was an up of a thing on airplanes that they they had to make that rule. Like you said, like common sense would tell you the other people in the airplane cabin do not want to hear your episode of the pit that you're watching or whatever else. Like just put on a pair of headphones or watch it with closed captions on. I watch things on my phone on silent all of the time. Sure. It's really not a big deal. But when you're traveling, you know, I mean, who doesn't travel with headphones? I know. And usually the airline has a pair of earbuds. They can loan you anyway. But it's the classic thing of like, well, okay, I get that you think you're special and you should be able to play your thing on your speaker. But what if everyone was acting exactly like you, the entire system would break down. So what makes you better than everyone else? I don't understand. I don't understand how people enter that mindset of like, well, I'm the exception. I deserve to blast this out for

35:40a hundred other people to listen to. Yeah. I feel like maybe I don't know if this may be going a little far. I must feel like retail stores should have this kind of a rule too. Like you can't talk on speaker phone when you're in the grocery store. Stop that nonsense. Stop that nonsense. Nobody else wants to hear both ends of your conversation. I don't and I'm ever I don't know. Are you guys like, I'm always super tempted when I see someone doing that to get close to them and just start making noise. Just make noise so they can't hear each other. Just keep continue to make. I said, what? First of all, does the other person, are they okay with being on speaker phone? Do they know they're on speaker phone? And secondly, is it really that rough for you to hold it to your ear? Is it really that hard for you to hold it to your ear? I just don't like being on the phone in public period. I would I do everything I can to avoid it. It's just awkward. It's not a pleasant experience. Yeah. It's not like, oh, I'm I'm at Shooks right now. This is a good time for me to catch up and like all my mom like, no, I would much rather do that in the car where it's quiet. That's the best place to make phone calls. I'm asking, it is the best place. It really is. It's like you're on

So who's doing this the most to you when you guys hear this rule needs to be in place? Who are you picturing doing this? Using a speaker phone to make a call in the airport or right before the plane takes off or you or just watching videos without headphones on either the very young or the rather old. So we're blaming Z and and boomers kind of that's who I would blame the two of them. Yeah. I feel like millennials and Gen X are I mean, I'm sure there are exceptions, but they are not the ones I see doing this stuff over and over again. My dad does the speaker full thing in public. And I just every time I hit him, like put it up to your ear. Nobody else wants to hear this. I don't want to hear this talking to your phone. Yeah. And then I get blown off because that's how you listen to me.

37:54I spent a TGS day this out. He is down in Jupiter hanging out having some fun with spring training and we'll give you some updates on that. If you want to see a couple of photos from his time down there with the boys, that's definitely a boys trip. Oh, yeah. He's having a good boys trip. They all the crew went out to dinner the other night, apparently a four and a half hour dinner. That actually is on the low end of what I went anticipate with that crew because it was it was John Hancock and Michael Kelly and Dave Mike Clayborn Tom Ackerman Ricky Horton. I think that was the entire crew, but there are a couple photos up on our Facebook page. If you guys want to check that out, see what Dave's been up to. Obviously, he's at the ballgame right now. Cardinals are leading seven to two in that game. That's that Roger Dean Stadium. And that would be the one that they're at. I don't think they went to West Palm to see the other game where the Cardinals are believe. I know the scores changed. I got to check it real quick. We got the one that's the home game. Because this is not necessarily for purchasing a new home or getting a new apartment or renting a new property somewhere. It's much more about I think about the Airbnb universe, you know, whether it's VRBOs or verbos or Airbnb's. But apparently landlords are using AI to alter the photos of the rental properties. So they're making them look better than they are online. And then people are getting there and going, wait a minute, the pictures of the interior made this look bigger or made it look better or like it was more modern, you know, there was a more modern decor. The outside is dilapidated

40:00where on the picture, it looked really great. So apparently, this is a thing that's happening on a regular basis. I searched it. So when I saw the first story on I saw it on Twitter. And then I went and looked for for examples of news stories. And they're quite a few of them where people are being fooled by AI photos when you're looking at properties online. Again, these I'm assuming these are short term rentals because any that would be long term, right? If you're going to go rent an apartment for a year lease, well, you're going to look at it before you decide to rent it. But with the other stuff, you just book it online. You look at the pictures online, you book it, you pay for it, and then you show up. And by then it's too late. How is that legal? How is it in any way not fraud if you're doctoring a place up to look better than it is? And then you get there and it's whether it's trash or not, I don't know, right? We don't know, I don't know the level of all of them, but it's certainly a lot less than what you think you were thought you were booking when you did it on the website. Yeah, I mean, that's a real bummer.

41:01That's why it's so important when using Airbnb to check out the reviews from the other people who have stayed there. That's a tremendous tool that you can utilize because odds are if they're lying about the way the place looks, the former tenants, whatever you want to call them, are going to be calling that out in the in the reviews. But yeah, I don't there's a lot of things I'm not sure why Airbnb is able to get away with. Well, just the whole thing of like, you have to clean the entire place before you leave and we're also charging you a cleaning fee. I don't understand how that makes sense. The first time I was first time I was told, do the laundry before I left. I was like, wash the sheets and stuff, wash the sheets, the towels, all that. What the heck? Yeah, I've only stayed in an Airbnb like once or twice. It was fine, but I'm I'm going hotel pretty much every time because of what Kevin's talking about. There's

42:05just so much more accountability when it comes to staying at a hotel. Yeah, they are incentivized to for the most part like tell you the truth. If there's an issue, they're going to take care of it. And I'm not expected to clean like, I'm not expected to wander my own sheets at a hotel. I think that is kind of crazy. A lot of it feels like a trap. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because it's a lot of I remember one time I stayed in Airbnb for a bachelor party. And one of the many, many, many rules on the listing was that everything has to be everything that was outside, everything that was inside, everything that was out on the dock. Everything had to be exactly where it was when you got there. Right. Or they were they would charge you like a $200 fee per thing that was in a different place. Yeah. So if you moved a chair two feet. And we moved a lot of chairs before we found the list of rules because it was like a list of rules on like a menu placard like on the table. Yeah.

43:09That no one that definitely feels like a setup. Yeah. It felt we we ended up using the pictures from their website. Like the Airbnb, you know, shots to like recreate exactly the way that it was in the photos. And I mean, apparently they're using these tools to like for homes and for like longer term rentals too, like just to get people to come in there. But if I get there and you're showing me something that doesn't look like what I saw, there's no way I'm going to get I'm not buying that house. I'm not renting that apartment. Yeah. Because you you you fooled me. You lied to me. You wasted my time because a lot of times it would be a property. You wouldn't go see otherwise. Yeah. And it makes you wonder why they're doing that in the first place. Doesn't it? Because I've had that experience when looking at apartments before the photos make it seem so much nicer than it actually is. And I just asked myself like, well, what was the end game that I showed up and everything was way worse than I was promised. And I go like, you know what? I will sign. I got these wonderful. I feel like it's a giant waste of time for anything that someone's

44:16going to visit first. But like with an Airbnb, nobody visits them first. Right. Who would do that? You're not going to go visit your future in the hotel. You're going to stay out. You're going to trust that the hotel is going to look like it says it does because the company that stands behind it puts their name on it and they have a lot of them and they know what they're doing. They're professionals. And that's not to say people that that own homes that are like short-term rentals don't. But clearly these people that are willing to rip you off and that's that's clearly a ripoff. I don't even know like if you ran into that where you booked a place and you show up and it's nothing like the photos online. Do you have any recourse with those companies other than leaving a bad review? Is that the only recourse you have? Yeah, I'm not sure. I did see a video this weekend of someone. They said their mom booked an Airbnb without looking at the photos. And then it was just like weird. Everything was like movie memorabilia all over the place and it was all like cheap

45:17and well looking. But I was watching it thinking to myself, why on earth would you book a place and not look at the photos? That's fun. It's fun to go and see what this is where I'm going to stay. Exactly. Yeah. So weird. Dude, the sheer number of times or ways that your fellow human being looks to rip you off is just frustrating. Yeah. It is so wildly frustrating whether it's people that are trying to scam you on the phone or via email or this type of AIs and the AIs stuff is going to keep getting worse because it's more and more available and it's only getting better. Now, you can still look for things, right? Like the experts in these stories were like, hey, when you're looking at the photos, pay attention to things that might look weird. Is a shadow not right? Is part of the image looking like it's bending or it's a weird shape? Like things are not the way they're supposed to be. But man, you feel like this is the stuff that

46:17we talk about all the time when it comes to AI and regulation and the government needing to be ahead of it, not behind it. How hard would it be simply to pass a law that says it is a federal crime to actively mislead people that are coming to rent or purchase a property? I mean, we already have truth and advertising laws that probably don't get followed as closely as they should. That is bait and switch. That is absolutely what it is. If you're telling me this place looks like it's got updated paint and it looks nice. It better look like that when you get there. Yeah, I guess you have to ask yourself, like, well, who's benefiting from their not being a law for that, you know? Landlords. Right. Guess what landlords have? Typically, again, not everybody, because some of these are more individuals. I have family members that have properties that they use to rent out. That's not what I'm talking about. Although it's crime when they do, if somebody that's a local like I own two houses and I rent them out, if you're doing it,

47:19you're just as bad as the wealthy landlord doing it. But the wealthier ones, so I have money, they have influence. Yeah, the ones that like never have to visit the property because there's so many of that. Like, you know what I mean? I mean, that's when it's just there's just no accountability there. It's sad stuff. I agree with you, wheels. Sometimes, I mean, just with everything going on in the world, there is so much like just dishonesty that you have to try and dodge. And then you feel like a chump for being like a regular person at a certain point. You feel like a chump for not taking advantage of other people. Because it just seems like everybody who's successful or what have you is getting one over on other people in some way. So just showing the stream Dave sent us a picture from the golf course. So he did it. He told the story last week where Ricky invited him to join the for some and play today. But Dave doesn't play a lot of

48:24golf and he warned Ricky. He texted me and I think he checked with a couple of other people too. He's like, what do I say? Because I don't play enough. I don't want to be terrible. I'm like, just tell Ricky, you're not good and see what he says. And if Ricky says it's no problem, then go have fun. And I guess that was the choice. Dave wasn't that fun. Dave's got his golf felt fit on. I know. I don't think I've I mean, never seen him in that. I was gonna say I don't think I've ever seen Dave with a collar on his shirt. Yeah. And there's a collar on that shirt. It's cropped weird again. I got to go into fix it. I wonder if he does have an old phone. I don't know what I'm not sure what happens. I'm really not. Although this one fits okay. Like when you click on the photo, it just it comes up kind of normal. When you post it to Facebook, though, there's like the black on the top. Yes. Yes. Yes. I was like, I can caddy. I'll be all right with that. But I asked him how'd you hit him? And Dave's response was one of a one of my best outings ever. I didn't bring dishonor to the show. Yeah. Well done, sir. Well done. Because I would have probably injured someone with my golfing. It would be someone on the fairway to the right of the fairway I was trying to hit it on. It would be the slice side because that's where everything goes for me. Even when I aim left, it goes right because I suck and I don't play golf. I'm glad he had fun. Yeah. And just it looked like a good time. And I'm sure now it's, and let's see, what is it? Three 30 there? It'll be, it'll be off to dinner somewhere in a couple of hours. Nice. 51:30For the adventures of Dave and Jupiter. Rate you at something you want to hit here? Yeah. So everyone, it's you know, the actor Timothy Shammell. Yeah. Yeah. Well, everyone is very angry with him right now because he made some comments in an interview that he did with Matthew McConaughey. Timothy said, I don't want to be working in ballet or opera or things where it's like, Hey, keep this thing alive. Even though no one cares about this anymore. He also said, you know, I'll respect to the ballet and opera people out there. But he basically dissed ballet and opera and called them art forms that people don't care about anymore. So all weekend, like I said at the top of the show, I was sick all weekend, spend a lot of time just laying on the couch. Unfortunately, spend a lot of time scrolling on my phone because I'm stuck on the couch. I cannot tell you how many people I saw post about Timothy Shammell and his insensitive comments about opera and ballet and he doesn't know what he's talking about. But I had to think

52:36as I'm looking at this story, I'm like, there's no way Wheeler disagrees with Timothy. And also, I don't really know anyone who goes to the ballet or goes to the opera. I'm not saying they're bad. I'm not saying like they shouldn't exist. I'm just saying I don't personally know anyone who's super into those things. I think it's kind of a little bit of a fair point to make overall. I mean, my understanding of what he said was not that he was trying to take shots at people, although he seemed to realize that he did at the end of what he said. It is a reality. It's not very nice to say it out loud. But let's compare the number of people that go to the ballet or go to the opera and how many people go to movies in a given year or for even just a given movie or performance. Clearly, the number of people that truly care about those things is much smaller

53:38than it would have been the percentage of people, much smaller than it would have been 100 years ago, 200 years ago. And it's not none. And it doesn't mean that those performers aren't amazing. It doesn't mean that they're not worthwhile. Of course, they are. But I'll tell you this, here's my weird end-around defense of Timothy Shalameh. A lot of those people in the higher arts are really snobby about what other people like. Oh, you like comic books. Oh, you like video games. Oh, so if you don't like being judged, maybe you shouldn't be judgey either. Because it's one of the things that have always gotten to me like people. And again, I'm not downing any art form. You like what you like. And the fact that it's been around for a long time, testifies to its staying power. There's no question. That's not what I'm getting to. What I'm getting to is that it's not nice when someone snipes at you. So don't snipe down at a down. I say that in ear quotes. You know, like, oh, you just like action movies. Yeah, I like action

54:39movies. So what? You like ballet? That's great. I'm happy for you. Don't talk down to me because I don't like what you don't like. Or I don't like what you do. And I think there's a lot of that back and forth when it comes to art and entertainment, where my kinds are more special than your kinds. Yeah, I think you're right. I also think it's maybe just an indicator of how much we like to fight and how much we like to get mad because I guarantee you not every post I saw was coming from a lover of the opera or the ballet. You know, it was just kind of an excuse to be like, oh, he said something. Oh, I could get in there and I could say something to him. And also, look, I work in radio up until about a year ago, I worked in AM radio. Yeah. People make snarky comments all the time. That's a real thing. If I were to like, rent my clothes and start crying every time someone made a snarky comment, like, it's just not worth it. You just go, like, okay, man, yeah, I get it. It's not for you. And you move on with your day. And you work on the thing that you're passionate about. And that should

55:43be good enough. I don't need everyone to get what I'm doing and to agree that it's the most cutting edge thing in the world. If you're a person that enjoys the the arts that that Chalamet was referring to there. So ballet opera, you could throw in symphony orchestra as like the similar, you're like, in terms of how long they've been around and, you know, the staying power of those art forms, they're similar to me. If you're a person that loves those and you don't judge anybody else, we're not talking about you. Right. But you know the people that I'm talking about. The people that were like ours are refined and special in yours are just so stupid. And if you don't like someone on this side of the aisle firing off shots, maybe rethink that attitude. And again, for people that aren't doing those things, we're not talking about you. You're normal. We love you.

Let's start with Weatherhold, because the weather holds the opening day second basement. I mean, there's, he's, he's done well enough, I think, to this point, Bernie, given his track record, his minor league, right? Like, there's the battles over. He's won it. He homeworked again today. So he's showing power and it's not easy to hit for power in spring training. Well, no, especially in that ballpark. Right. Yeah. It's easy in Arizona. It's not so easy down in Florida. Yeah. No, listen, Weatherhold can hit for power if he gets a pitch to drive. You know, he's just not going to try to pull everything out of the yard on his bullside on some pitch that's low and outside. Yeah. He's got the discipline to know which pitches he can punish and which pitches he can put in play, maybe get a base hit. So really good. And you know, the bias thing, I heard Hayden, behind Bloom talking to Tom Ackerman yesterday. Listen, I don't think anybody, I don't

58:53think anybody expects realistically expect there's even a chance that he'll be with the team to start the season. And I understand why. Yeah. But boy, this thing kind of wets your appetite, though, to see what he's been doing. And his talent is legitimate. I mean, this is, this is a guy. This is a dude. And I think he'll go down to Memphis. I predicted a few weeks ago and something I wrote. I predicted, we'll, we'll see by as after the all star break, maybe sooner if they trade Lars Newport. But, but just to think about them together for a long time, pretty exciting. Yeah. And look, we've been talking a lot about Weatherhold. So I think there's a lot more known about him. Right. He's one of the top. I know, depending on which service you're looking at, he's somewhere between three and eight. Like he's definitely one of the elite prospects in the game. Certainly one of the two or three best pure hitting prospects in the game. Maybe Kevin McGonagall is there a guy like Connor Griffin's a little bit more of a toolsy guy than just a pure

59:56hitter, but crazy power and speed. But he's in that group of guys. We haven't, and for our listeners that are, you know, maybe not as hardcore sports fans, being here on DGS as they would be listening to us on rush hour sports burn. Let's talk a couple of minutes about bias because before last year, he was struggling to kind of get through. You know, he was just typically young guy things. A lot of swinging miss wasn't making enough contact missing a lot of time with injuries for a couple of years. And then this past season stayed relatively healthy had a big breakout year with 20 home runs and 54 stolen bases. And I'll tell you, only 117 games. So that tells you that, you know, if you're in 20 home runs and 117, if you add 20 or 30 to that, we're looking at a 20 35 home or got 25 30 home or guy and a big athlete who checks all of the scouting boxes. And the biggest part of his story because it links two things together. I mean, he's got an immense amount of natural talent with his strength, his power, his speed, and a rocket arm.

1:00:58He's got a great outfield arm. But part two of this connection is that maybe some Cardinals fans got tired of hearing Wheeler, Nicholas, Pauli, Ackerman, Derek Gold, whomever talking about how important it was to have a dramatically improved enhanced player development system that can make a huge difference with their prospects. Their prospects were not getting the help that needed to become their best type of player. So it's like, well, you guys are all talking about this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Bias got off to a terrible start in 2025. Swinging miss, swinging miss, strikeout strikeout strikeout. He was all messed up in the batter's box. So Larry Day in Rob Sirfolio and just so people know the reference. Larry Day is the farm director. Sirfolio is the the director of player development. So what did they do? They say, well, you know, well, you know, just, you know, look for your pitch. Look for your pitch. You know, no, they took advantage of

1:02:05the new technology that the Cardinals now have for their prospects. They literally took Bias out of the lineup for about a week. They wanted a reprogram him and they took him inside and they had, they put him in the batter's box. He was taking his swings. They were recording everything. There were sensors. They got it from every angle. They realized that his motion inside the batter's box was working against him being a good hitter because he was too busy. He was, he was moving all over the place. He wasn't in sync. And he, he couldn't reach pit certain pitches. So they completely changed it. Seeing technological evidence, they changed his stance. They made him more upright. They got, they slowed him down. They got him to the point where his hands were even quicker than they were before. But he could reach every type of pitch. And with, and with that came a lot of confidence. So for all the skeptics that are wondering, well,

1:03:06this wasn't about you guys keep talking player to Val. And this was about the Cardinals wanting to save money or whatever. No, actually, you're going to be excited about Joshua Bias sometime soon. He is the number one example, the first example of a difference. These guys can make it in the trajectory of a really promising franchise. He was the first test case. Yeah. And look at what's happening. It's a great, it's a great place to start. And we'll see him this year. As you point it out, it won't be opening day. They're going to give other guys looks that are already set to go. But he, I'd be shocked if we don't see him this year, whether it's the result of a new trade or maybe a guy like Walker or even a guy like Victor Scott, if those guys are struggling, I don't think they're still on scholarship. And a guy like Bias can easily do that because he played mostly center field last year. And as you noted, for a big guy at six three, two, twenty, he can run. Yeah. And I'll be brief this time because I went a long time in a previous answer. The thing with the thing of it is he, one of the reasons time blooms not going to rush him to

1:04:10the majors, he legitimately believes Bias could use some time at triple A. And I think it's smart. And I especially think it's smart because we all know what happened at Jordan Walker when the previous regime decided to ignore the warning science. They just ignored it because they were all caught up in the narrative. They wanted to introduce their new star. They rushed Jordan Walker to the major leagues from double A. Never taught him how to play right field. Never, never did anything major to correct his swing to get him to stop hitting so many ground balls. And they're just, they're not going to do that same type of stupid thing with a kid like Josh Vias. Right. So that's why this is why the regime change is such a big deal potentially. Totally agree. Other thing from today, Bern, I know there was a split squad game. Only one was televised and it was the one that was played at Roger Dean. The one we're talking about where whether holding Bias were in the lineup. But another start from Matthew Libertor, five solid innings, seven strikeouts. And again, I don't care about the numbers in spring.

1:05:15What's better is talking about traits and characteristics and pitch usages. And it seems like at least today. And again, we don't know if this is going to last or if it was just a today thing because this is what he was working on. But a few less in terms of percentage use on the fastball. In particular, the sinker and the forcing fastball a little more slider. Obviously the curve and change up have been elite now really for a couple of years. But he's a guy that is capable of another step. And I think and Matt Paulie and I talked about this last week. I think Bernie got a find of fastball that works because all of his fastballs got hit last year. Well, that's why they're trying to perfect his change up. And I think they got him throwing a splitter. So they're trying to get people off the fastball. So again, they intervened and made some helpful recommendations. He's got really good stuff. And I was talking to Will Leach today. We were doing a new seeing red podcast. And I said the thing about Libertor that impresses me everything that I've seen this spring. He's really confident now. It's like he knows he realizes,

I mean, now, yeah, is there a little bit of a hazard in basing everything on ERA? Yeah, of course. It's spring training. That's not the point. You know, you can see that just about every one of those

1:07:17guys is throwing harder, the velocities up. They all came in a camp with a new pitch or a reshaped pitch or some kind of change in their arsenal. So they all made off season adjustments and they came to the party with more to offer. So this isn't like the same guys just out there doing what they did last year. These are the same guys, the same human beings, but they came back modified because they're doing several things different. And that's, that's the big deal there. Absolutely. And, and Bern weekend talked more about the bullpen later in the week, but just a quick thought on it. It's not so much because of today, but you know, you look at the guys that followed liberator today. It was sponsor Fernandez, Roy Croft and Soriano, all of them between 95 and 100 miles an hour regularly. Soriano was sitting 98 basically all of his outing today. And those guys combined with seven strikeouts and four innings. Now again, spring training, second half of the game, we know a lot of times you're starting to see more and more guys that are not regular big

1:08:18leagueers, especially for a team that traveled, you know, teams don't travel their whole big league roster, usually only bring three or four guys that are true big leagueers on these road trips in in Florida, but still power arms that can miss bats. And we haven't even, that doesn't even count static who didn't pitch today, but has pitched well since since he arrived. Listen, I have, I have access to a kind of, I don't know what the, I don't know what to call it because I don't want to get into any trouble, but it's kind of a proprietary system that shows me stuff, stuff, you know, a guy has great stuff or he doesn't or he's average. And maybe she is, uh, taking the brunt of some of that aggression, perhaps unfairly. Like, yeah, sure, it's tone deaf to like be like, I'm going to I'm going shopping at the super expensive place and I'm going to inconvenience everybody because my secret service has to come with me and yada yada yada. I give her one bit of grace and it's because she's 18. Well, she doesn't know any different. And then in the three o'clock here is a protein bar and then I'll eat dinner. I just eat every couple hours. I wish I had your discipline, man. Really? So this is a new viral sandwich that's Jeff Daniels is going on and on about. It's a soft pita bread filled with peanut butter, crushed cheddar and sour cream, ruffles, potato chips, and a drizzle of barbecue sauce. Why? He describes it as sweet, savory, and crunchy, a combination of his favorite tastes.

So we're making a run at it. I do think Tuesday during the day is going to be dry, but there's a cold front on the way that front's going to take its time. It's a really slow mover. So cloudy skies Tuesday night, rain and thunderstorms developing from west to east. It's going to take its time, but they are on the way. There'll be some storms, though, not for everybody that are strong to severe. 52 will do it for the low Wednesday gusty winds dropping temperatures rain and thunderstorms focused on the morning. Now 67 is the high on Wednesday, but by late in the day, we're down to 48 degrees. Kind of cold Wednesday night 34 and Thursday, cool, but sunny and 56. Now as far as strong to severe weather, the focus will be 7 pm tonight to 7 am on Wednesday. That is the window of opportunity

1:33:32as everything kind of moves from west to east on one of stress. Not everybody's going to see severe weather, but we do need to pay attention. The main focus if you get under a severe storm will be hail up to quarter size winds of 60 to 70 miles per hour intense dangerous lightning. Everybody's going to see some very heavy downpours of rain that could lead to a little bit of flash flooding on the small streams and creeks and some flooding on the roadways. And there is a potential for some tornadic activity. It's hard to say exactly when and where, but we really have to keep a focus on the weather as we go through the overnight Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. If you are out in the wilderness, you need to be very aware of everything because everything wants to kill you. I'm sure you guys saw yesterday a threat scare shut down the Kansas City airport for several hours. I saw came Lex's Maria Kena tweeting about it in real time. There was an abrupt evacuation Sunday after authorities got word of a possible device in the terminal and nearby parking garage. There was a huge police response. The Kansas City Aviation Department said that the airport police assisted by the FBI cleared parts of the terminal as a precaution. Inbound flights were held

They didn't go into detail about the original report, but eventually the all clear was given, but travelers are urged to continue reporting anything suspicious. Can't be too safe at the airport, I suppose. I guess even with all of the security stuff in place. Pokemon has rebuked the White House's use of its intellectual property in a social media post. Pokemon company International said it didn't grant permission to the White House to post social media contents that contained imagery associated with their new Polkapedia game. This is a life simulation game that was launched on Thursday and the White House posted, you know, something very similar in its make America great again in Polkapedia's signature font.

Our mission is to bring the world together and that mission is not affiliated with any political viewpoint or agenda. Nintendo is sort of in general going to war with the Trump administration. These like memes that the why the meme videos the White House are putting out there about the war are ridiculously childish. What are we doing? Why are we memeifying a military action overseas where our not not not only our servicemen and women are in grave danger. What are we now the seven seven dead soldiers so far, which is not a huge number, but it's still seven families without their family member, right? And the White House is making it seem like it's a sport. They're like mixing in movies with music and sports clips and Pokemon. What are we doing?

Yeah, one question because we were kicking this around earlier. You all went out without the dinner for about four and a half hours the other night. You are a good day for JJ Weatherholt who left the yard again. He's had an amazing spring. I was listening to you in high bloom yesterday on sports on a Sunday morning. A lot of good stuff about these young guys, but specifically about Joshua Baez when you guys talked yesterday, he had another big day today with his third home run. He did and he was just optioned to Memphis. We kind of knew that was coming. Yeah, you knew that was coming and just so people understand that, you know, this was going to happen. The Cardinals were not going to go down the same road that they went down with Jordan Walker. They were not going to have him rush into the major leagues. They need to make sure inheim's words that he completes the journey.

1:51:35He wanted to make sure that he stopped every step of the way during the minor leagues and had a great experience. And he was outstanding last year. I mean, he tore up AA. Yeah. He's a really good player. He's got power and speed crushed a home run today. I mean, at one point, Chris Tuno, who was doing the announcements in the press box, said estimated distance of the home run, whatever it was, 418 feet, which we believe is the end of the property. And that was down the left field line. That is an absolute bomb. I mean, that was like, you know, for 80 feet past the foul pole. You know, I saw a couple guys hit him out there like that in the past when I was down there and their names were Marcelo Zuna and Giancarlo Stanton. Yeah. I saw David freeze one time. Yeah. There was like a dumpster out there in left where they parked an ambulance. Yeah. And he hit one in the dumpster. And I said to him, as we're walking to the clubhouse, I said, dude, that went in the dumpster and he goes, he shrugged

1:52:37to go amateur hack. So, you know, it was, it's fun down here when you hit home runs and do all that stuff. And I'm sure Joshua Baez feels pretty good today. Even though he was option, he knew that was coming. And the best thing for him is to get all the epats he possibly can in the minor leagues. And then when called upon, believe me, he's going to come up and he's going to be special. But he needs to go through the ups and downs. The other guy who hit two home runs today was chase Davis. Yeah. Who has really struggled. You know, he was the first round pick of this team back in 23. Yeah. Last year, he only hit 10 home runs all year. Yeah. And struck out 146 times. And so both players have kind of been products of this system where the Cardinals are trying to teach these young players a new way of thinking, a new way of hitting, working with the technology. And what the hope was that that carried over, especially for Baez, who had so much success. Yeah. Through the winter and into this spring and it has. And now Davis, maybe that unlocks something because he wasn't all that great leading up to this two home run day for him. So it's a good

I think it was in five innings of work. That's phenomenal. Now again, we all know the context because you're facing a lot of guys that aren't big leaders, especially a traveling team coming to your place. But there's also some stuff down there that's pretty concerning. And using the Baez conversation, we knew he was going to go down that he's got some things to work on. I think he had one hit down there in West Palm. But he doesn't have an extra base hit yet. And that's no, he doesn't. And that's facing a lot of minor league pitching. They think he's got some big power. The other one though is Nathan Church. Nathan Church is legitimately in a time would not confirm this completely. But I was a good question. And he he looked at me like, you know, like he was choosing his words. And I said, am I wrong about this? That that center field is a competition right now. And Nathan Church is in it. And he said, you're not wrong about that. But that doesn't mean we're giving up on Vic. But he basically said Nathan Church, he didn't put them on the team. Right. But he pretty much said that that that church is going to be in this outfield mix in some way. Nathan Church has power and he has a rocket arm and he can run the defensive ability. He can run. He's got all the tools that you need. So one of these guys is going to get passed by Nathan Church. I think Bias probably takes a little

1:56:51more time to get some seasoning. He needs more at bats. Church has had more minor league at bats than Bias has had. And then, you know, beyond that, you're looking at left field, CJC for mean. And Bias started out there today. As I said, he's in the other game. Yeah. I mean, so he was in left with for mean and center, which tells me they're trying to get him used to left field. Isn't that something? Because I said to time yesterday, I said, I noticed the church hasn't played and left yet. Yeah. So does that mean he's in this center field? So churchy, as they call him, ended up in left today. I think that it's does bear watching here over the next two weeks, what this outfield is going to look like. I think that this is the year. We've I feel like we've been talking about them forever, but this is the year for Jordan Walker and Nolan Garmin to show what they can do. I remember a few years ago, it was such a big deal that Jordan Walker could possibly make this team. Remember how big of a story? Oh my god. Yeah.

1:57:54It was the story of spring. I mean, I remember being in Port St. Lucie up in the press box. And somehow it leaked out. There was a transaction that showed up. And it looked as if if you connected the dots, the Jordan Walker had just made the team. So we were reaching out to Don Mosello about it. And I asked him, can I have some time with you? I mean, if Jordan Walker just made the team, I think you and I need to talk and do an interview. So he called me downstairs after he talked to the writers and he had me down for an interview and talked about the whole thing. It was a huge deal. I remember Mason Wynn was down there and was supportive. He was not going to make the team. And Walker was. And Walker, I just remember how big that was. I don't think we're going to be going through that now. I think that you're going to see this is about veteran players and a few others who have gotten experience. But man, I'm telling you, the day that you get bias and Ren Yellow Rodriguez and some of these other cars, it's going to be a fun lineup if

1:58:59they stay healthy and if they stay on this track. Yeah. I was looking at it, Tom. I mean, obviously in large new bars, not going to be ready for the start of the year. But he sounds like it's going to be fairly early in the year. You know, I mean, it's like he's not in games or doing stuff now. It'd be hard to believe he's going to be ready for opening day. But that leads me to my prediction on opening day with right hander Drew Rasmussen pitching for Tampa. I think your left field is going to be Nathan Church. I think it's going to be church Scott and Walker to start off with. And then a couple of those guys like Sajace and Firmin providing right handed bat depth for anybody that needs it, but in particular for church and Scott being the left handed hitters. Yeah, I agree with you. I think that is the likely scenario. And you know, I don't see any other way. I think that's what's going to happen. It's a pretty good outfield. By the way, defensively, if church is in left and Scott's in center, you're going to cover a lot of ground between those two guys. Church is a very, very good defensive player. We already know Vic is elite, but churches are really good defensive player. I think that that could very well

He had this amazing spring and then right before the season starts in Mesa, they're playing the Cubs in that exhibition game and he and Jordan get crossed up and suddenly disaster strikes. So yeah, let's just wait that they need to make sure that they get some depth in case, but the outfield shouldn't be too bad defensively and they are seeing some signs of progress in Jordan Walker playing defensively out and right. But as you said, he's here to hit. I mean, this guy is supposed to be the elite campus prospect and at some point, it's got to click. No doubt about it. So they're saying they're not saying there's no impact, right? They're saying it's not the cause or at least there's no evidence that it is the cause based on the review that they just did. And the reason that came up is Great Britain is thinking about doing something along the lines of what Australia did, which is banning people from being on social media. I think under the age of 16. Yes, that what it is. Yes. And they're thinking about doing the same thing and critics are saying, well, wait a minute, if the government did a review and they're not seeing that this is causing anything, then is it necessary to do that? And I think it's an interesting question. Now, I think it should be up to parents personally, but we have age limits for all kinds of things. So it's not inconsistent and is anybody really harmed if they're not on there when they're 14? Yeah, that's that's the big question. It's like, okay, maybe it's not causing direct harm, but also what good is it doing? I think that's a
