宏都拉斯一樣是馬雅文化的重鎮，在境內遍佈各種各樣的馬雅遺跡，包括了現今保存數一數二完整的科潘 Copán，甚至還有完整的馬雅古球場。除了馬雅文化之外，宏都拉斯的在地文化也受到了當初西班牙殖民的強烈影響
，呈現除多元而且兼容並蓄的樣貌。
