In the fall and spring when the bare ground freezes overnight, ice crystals push up through the earth looking like valuable gems waiting to be collected. To me they are of great value, filling my heart with gratitude for being witness to this act of nature. People often have gifts and talents they hide from others until someone unfreezes them.

0:00Welcome to this message coming to you from the foothills of the White Bounds here in the Hampshire. Today's podcast is titled Frozen Gems, well in the Bring in the Far, but it's a times we'll find frozen gems in the earth on the trails on the mountain. Actually with the air ice crystals that have formed and pushed up through the soil, but me it's a gem, it may not be a gem stone, but it's a gem that nature provides. Something of great value to me, of appreciation, of gratitude, to be able to experience the walk, to observe the photograph and even crunch them. They don't last for a long time, but then the mountains fill many different gems. Some of them are actually warts. There is that sense of being about something that's very special.
1:00There are so many gems in life, not necessarily frozen, but there are gems with people, gems that we see in wonderful ideas. A lot of times they are, so the stuck, unless we help them unfreeze and remind the person of what they're sharing. There's a lot of times people don't know what a gem they are.
