Back on April 2, 2025, tension boiled over in the bleachers at Coy Condo Stadium in Frisco. Memorial High School athlete Austin Metcalf got into it with Carmelo Anthony from Centennial High School. Anthony allegedly stabbed Metcalf in the chest, leading to his death. Frisco ISD is stressing safety this time around. Officials say they're committed to a secure vibe for students, athletes, families, and fans. District admins will be there on-site with beefed up security to keep things smooth.
