Checked at 3.45 traffic 2 miles, final without delay. Cross runway 30 left, runway 30 right, clear for takeoff. OK, cross 30 left, clear for takeoff, 30. Any way, well, I think the last big topic I have guys, and I wanted just to get your opinions on the sum before we close out, was what's going on with Michikov this season? And where do you see that? I mean, I think one of the keys that we had talked about before the season was his development. I think anybody would agree that his development

was paramount here, and he's having a real bad season. And I think the question is, who's to blame for that? Well, yeah, the flyers and the beatwriters, it's Mitch Kauf entirely, because he came in to camp out of shape, not doing what the coaches say, he's a bad seed, maybe he's on his way out, like there's that sort of insinuation from a lot of those folks. I think that it's just absolutely asinine and outrageous and stupid. And I think it's like, you know, the flyers have, of course, there's personal responsibility in it, but the flyers also have their hands in this, like this is their prize prospect, and what are they doing to ensure success? I mean, they fucked up with this translator issues last year, and like just, I don't know, how do you guys see the situation with him? Like, the term sophomore slump exists for a reason, because it happens.

But, you know, Riktok has been so openly against this guy all season, ever since he fucking got here. You know, he's limiting his minutes, he's not putting him in situations to succeed. A lot of, you know, there are people that are breaking down the video of these games out there, and you know, they're not advancing in the neutral zone, you know, they're not, you know, Riktok doesn't want these players to be offensive, so you're cutting his minutes, and you're limiting the one thing that he's good at, a top of what is probably a sophomore slump. Like, they've beat this whole, it didn't come at a camp in shape, thing into the ground, two-point versus a fucking joke now, but like they probably, you know, he may not have been, but like, you know, Mike's right, there's personal responsibility on Mitch Cobb to do it, but you're a fucking professional sports team. You don't have an entire fleet of people that go, hey, here's how to work out, here's how to eat, here's how to, you know, keep yourself in shape and busy, like, you would think, hey, don't go to fucking Dubai and get in car racks and have your identity stolen, or whatever the fuck was going on with that all summer long.

Don't you remember Ian McGowan when they brought him in this world-class fucking fitness guy to lead everybody and do everything? Like, where's that guy? Checking out mentorship. Yeah, hey, you know, this is your first year, you know, you still barely speak English, your first year in the States, this is how you handle a summer. Like, it's still on the organization to do that, and apparently they fucking didn't, or Mitch Cobb just completely ignored him. Like, like, I think, you know, Mitch Cobb's not innocent in all of this, but this is your prize, this is the one fucking guy that means anything to this organization theoretically, besides Sean Catering, of course, he's a fucking great captain and leader and the greatest player that ever existed, but Mitch Cobb's the one guy that means something to this team, like, protect your investment. I just, like, it's just such, it blows my mind every time I go on Twitter, and every time Rick talk and talk to the media, he has to throw a jab in there about Mitch Cobb, and Kevin here, it's has to throw a fucking jab

in there at Mitch Cobb. And we're just like, what are we fucking doing here? Why is this the guy that's taking all this fucking heat from these people? If you're unsatisfied with that, fucking make it better, you don't have to shit on them every available opportunity, coach the fucking guy. Make it, like, I just don't understand how you're a professional sports team. A fucking billion dollar Comcast run franchise, and you can't have somebody put a meal plan together for him this summer, so he doesn't come into fucking camp with a broken ankle and fatten out of shape. How hard is that? Like, I, so yeah, his play has not been good, but it's every other factor surrounding this that leads me to believe that this is not entirely on Mitch Cobb, by any means. Like, yeah, there's personal responsibility of the sophomore slump, but holy fucking shit. The way the coach has utilized this roster, and this is not just a Mitch Cobb problem, this is in every last offensive player problem, and it just happens to be a fucking Mitch Cobb because he's the guy that should be taking these steps, but, you know, we saw him kind of hindered

with Torturella last, which is funny, because the average 1641 last year, he's down to 1437 now. We thought, fucking, Torturella wasn't using them right, and turns out it can get worse. But we saw, when, when Torturella was fired and those chains were taken off, and those last three weeks of the season with Brad Shaw there, and he looked like a fucking mega star, because he had all those restrictions removed, and then he's put under a coach that just puts even more fucking restrictions on the guy. Not everybody has to be a boring two way forward. You don't have to do that. You can let one guy be good and be offensive. It's okay, and it's okay if it's Mitch Cobb, but no, we gotta teach him how to play! And I just think at this point in the year, now that we're, I just think everyone's so fucking beat down by it, including Mitch Cobb himself, which is why you're not gonna see him probably improve anymore. It's just, everybody's fucking frustrated. The fans, the players, the coach, like, yeah, I think you just need this off season to show up, and to, for Ian fucking McGowan to come out and do his goddamn job, and play a fitness plan forward, and a meal plan forward, and go in the next season and try again,

because I don't think he's gonna get any better this year, and just think what this is what it is right now. Until, talk it gets off his fucking nuts for five minutes, I just don't know how you see this guy improve. 10 goals, 24 points, and 48 games, minus seven. 49 penalty minutes, which is more than he had last year, and he's playing significantly less minutes than he was last year. Yeah, I mean, for sure, listen, he deserves some flak, right? For showing up the way that he did. That said, we're still harping on it, and by we, I mean, the organization is still harping on it, and it's like been months. Like six months. Try to campus, what, late August, early September, it's the end of January, and they're still talking about it. Right, so the consequence of that is, the coach keeps getting asked about it. People related to the theme keep getting asked about it. It now becomes national hockey news,

so we've got spit and chick, let's talking about it. We've got Colby Cohen talking about it. We've got other people chiming in now. Now when you watch a Flyers broadcast, and the last few that I've watched, it's been the Utah feed, it's been the Rangers feed, it's been like all the other feeds. They're talking about it too. Every single time, oh, there's Matt Faye-Mitchkov, you know what, he's a really good player, but he came out of shape last year at this season and at training camp and never really come back to it. The Tampa Bay broadcast mentioned it. This is now coming from the thing, right? And my whole point is, so what's the plan for the Olympic break? Like what are the Flyers actively doing to say, this is the past, this sucks, don't do that again. You shouldn't do that again. And by the way, I'm pretty sure Matt Faye-Mitchkov knows, because he's a competitive guy, he fucked up.

Yeah. He doesn't want to come to shape, to camp out of shape again, like that again. I think he learned a valuable lesson. The thing is, it's instead of, you know, let's figure out what to do with this guy over the Olympic break while everybody resets and let's see if we can get, you know, get him to work on a skating, let's see if we can get him to work on something else or whatever. Instead, their development plan for him is to shame him. That's their plan. We are gonna shit all over this guy. We are gonna shame him unmercifully to the point where they're hoping that he comes back to camp next year in good shape. Or the opposite can happen and he can get really pissed off and say, why the fuck am I here? This is how they're treating me. Like I don't want to screw it up, but like Jesus, can we like move on? Can we forgive this transgression here? Yeah. Like can we do that?

Can we move on from this? Like where are we going? Where's the off ramp here for Matt Vitchkov? Because I'll give credit to Papa. Papa said it a long time ago and he said, are they trying to run this guy out of town? And at first, Dan, I'm with you. I was like, no, it's fucking crazy. And now it's like, but where does this stop? Yeah. Where does this end? Like again, next year, he could even be to camp in shape. If he goes the first six games without a goal, guess what people are going to say? I bet you he wasn't a judge. Bet you didn't come. I bet you didn't work out in the office. Yeah. It's terrible. This bullshit is gonna keep coming up, whether it's warranted or not. And that's the whole thing with this narrative that's being built. And this is the weird thing about coaches like talk it and like Torrella. There is this thing that they do

and it is successful for a while. Where you pick on a player and you basically make it like it's a dick measuring contest and you're the one that's in charge and you're gonna make it a point. And everybody on the team sees that point. So that everybody knows you're the alpha in the room. Problem is, is that eventually gets old and stale and then it causes rifts and divisions and all kinds of stuff. And then it leads to bad shit as we saw with John Torrella. As we saw a talk it in Vancouver last year and we, and we hired John Torrella light. So we're gonna, we're gonna see more of the same of this. At what point does, talk it was a powerful word in the NHL, a score. At what point does he really take, take Mitchkov under your wing, show him some shit. Utilize him, make a communication, make a friendship, a connection with him, but they don't.

There's take potshots. Let's, let's berate him. Let's get national. He doesn't speak English anyways. It's okay, he doesn't know what ride Whitney saying. He doesn't know what, what biz is saying. Yeah. He doesn't know who Cole be going in is. I mean, most people don't. He played three games in the NHL. That's three more than you, Mike, and I. That's crazy. But that's the whole thing is, where does it stop? Where does the end game go? Where is the off-front? Are these things gonna continue? What's their plan? Is there a plan? Nobody asked though. It's just all about Mitchkov. Yeah. Mitchkov, and how fucking fat he is. Yeah, I mean, I think that the organization needs to be very concerned about his trajectory right now. And they obviously, the flyers don't have a good track record at all in developing players

or developing high-end players for that matter. They just don't really do that. And there was the issue with Nolan Patrick. Well, there was many issues with him. And in that situation, there was a lot of things that went on behind the scenes. There was the injury excuse. I also think that there was a major motivational problem with him that was self-inflicted and perhaps exacerbated by bad culture and a bad organization. And those factors combined for him to basically quit hockey. You know, the flyers have not really had a touted prospect like him until they got, they Mitchkov. And now they have Marton who fortunately isn't on the flyers yet. So we're not sure how they're going to try to ruin him. But, you know, what are the flyers doing to ensure that they're maximizing the chances of success for this player?

And like you had mentioned, man, you know, this prolonged hazing and ganging up and shaming player is probably, I don't think that that is effective. You know, there's got to be other things that they're doing and if the coach is, you know, taking pot shots at him, like he has been, you know, why are you doing that? Like, is that productive here? And at the end of the day, if he fails with the flyers, like at some point, it's like, this is the fucking organization's fault. How can you have all these high-end guys come in, you know, and you just fail with all of them? Oh, well, he wasn't, he wasn't playing defense the right way or he wasn't, he wasn't playing the right way whatever the fuck that means according to Sean Caterier and others in the organization. So like, if things don't work out with Mitchkov, that is a massive indictment on the flyers organization

because you don't get prospects with that kind of talent very often and you're squandering them. The organization is squand, every time one comes across their lap, they're squandering them. And I think it's a cultural and philosophical issue within the flyers building. No matter who is in charge, they are failing to develop these guys. Now, holy doesn't happen, but it's a possibility with the way that things are going right now and with the negativity that he's receiving from seemingly the coach and all the media around him. Who's he living with? Like, what's his roommate? His mom maybe? Yeah, his mom and brother here, I believe, that they could get the house from them. I think so, but I mean, that's another aspect to this though. Like, I know you want to make them feel comfortable, but maybe if he was with a player,

like, living with a player, especially a player that is like, you know, a gym rat kind of thing, maybe that's something that would rub off on them a little bit. Bingo. Maybe a mentor should actually learn and be mentored and figure out, okay, this is how you do things. Like, Matt Schifler, who's living with what Matt Martin, I believe, or something like, one of the veteran depth guys, like something like that. That's a great call, Dan. Bring a crossbeard, live with Mario. Coots live with Briar, that's right. But no, I think that's a great call. And I think that that's probably one of the poisons here that the flyers have lacked over the years is that they just don't have a system of mentorship for their young guys. They just fucking throw them in a house in Cherry Hill or an apartment in center of city and say, show up at this time. And like, there's a whole world out there. And these guys are so, and especially, Mitch Coffs, he's not even, you know, from the US. And I think that that creates those societal issues

create problems because they're not developing as adults. They're just like here on a team with a bunch of money and they don't have a lot of guidance. And for whatever reason, the flyers aren't very good providing that kind of guidance. But that's, yeah, it's a great point. I think it also speaks to the off-season stuff. It's like, why is he not living with, I don't know, it's like somebody on the team or create fucking figure out a way to get a great Russian speaking player that's part of the core, whether it's, I don't fucking a Caprice off, which they couldn't get, but just something that you can mesh with him that can give him that mentor, that understands how to train, how to eat, where to live, what you do as an adult, you know, all sorts of stuff like that, that's important. And I agree, I think that the flyers may have mentioned those things as concepts during certain press conferences, but I think they fail to effectuate them, you know, on a massive scale.

And that's been one of the root causes of these players not developing. And I think for sure, if and when Mitchkoff doesn't turn out, that's gonna be a huge reason why. It's not just because, oh, well, he just wasn't who we thought he was. And he's lazy. And you know, it's like, no, like, you got your hands all over this fucking shit organization. And the organization's got to figure out a way to prevent that from happening. And yeah, I mean, that's stuff we don't see. And there's obviously no investigative journalism on it at all, even though it's a huge issue. Now the media just fucking perpetuates the storyline of him being on the fat out of shape. That's all he wanted to do. Yeah, what a bad guy he is. Send him back to Russia. We don't need him. Get Lawton back. We need to take over. Yeah, let's just double shift coots for his shit. Yeah, let's just like, that's it's like, okay, great. Like, yeah, it's just really stupid. It's really, really stupid. Yeah, Papa's brought it up before his man. He was alluding to where he's like, they're gonna get rid of this guy, aren't they?

And I'm always like, they don't get rid of fucking anybody. Mitchkoff's not going anywhere. They would never fucking do that. And then the more and more the season goes on, I'm thinking, my God, they're gonna fucking get rid of this guy at some point, aren't they? By Hooker Crook, they're determined to destroy their own, you know, future, their own investment. That's because the organization is obsessed with this, with the stagnant and boring two-way player. Yeah. If you cannot fit, that's the first step. You have to maximize that style of play. And only after you get to that level, are you allowed to do other things on the ice? But you cannot do anything else until you maximize yourself as a two-way, Sean Catery, a Scott Lawton clone. That's what you have to be. That's where I have to start, yeah. Yeah, yeah. And if you can't do that, then you can't be part of the flyers. I don't care if it's fucking Yarmier, Yager, or Connor McDavid, you can't be part of the flyers unless you play like a two-way player first.

That's the thing. Sucks, and that's also one of the reasons why they can't develop talent. No. Because not everybody's the fucking same. Because they keep hiring coaches with low expectations, low player ceilings. The thing that's gonna be real infuriating. So let's say for the sake of argument, that popus prediction comes true. And two years from now, whatever, they trade them, they get rid of them, they do whatever. The thing that's infuriating to me is if that's gonna be the end game, then not going after a Robert Thomas, you know the ask is gonna be Mitchkov or Marton. If this is gonna go down a path, where you're just gonna destroy this guy's development, and again, there is an element of player responsibility too. But if this is the way that it's gonna go,

and the relations are just gonna sour and not be repaired, and there's not gonna be a forgiveness and a forgetfulness for what happened here. Then what the fuck are we doing? So you're not making a trade to get the pieces that you need, and instead you're actively sabotaging yourself sabotaging your top rated prospect to prove a point or to do whatever, culture, et cetera. And then like again, the bottom line for all this is, how does this help the Philadelphia Flyers? It doesn't. It doesn't at all in any way, shape, or form. You gotta spend three years breaking Mitchkov down and then trade him for nothing because you have to kill the value of your prospects before you trade to them. Get me to for every single player, Dan. Every player, they have to grind their value down, and they trade them or release them, or they're off the team when they have ground that down to nothing. They've done it with every single fucking player. Everybody they have never because,

oh, we have a player that has value, well, we have to keep him because the player's good. Like they never will recognize, well, this guy might not fit long-term and maybe we're a little bit ahead of the curve here. We got a forecast and like, nope. If the guy has any value, he stays here and we only get rid of him when he has no value. No, yeah, I do that with everybody. And apparently Mitchkov's no different. Every single fucking player. And it's, I think it's also because they're afraid from 25 fucking years ago when they traded what Justin Williams and Patrick Sharp, huh? Yeah, Patrick Sharp is like, they are deathly afraid of that again, and that has just been, that's been tattooed on the arm of every single executive that has been in that fucking dump. Look. No, it's not a dump. It's actually quite a nice arena, but you know what I mean? It's just, yeah, it does. As I was at the Rangers game and I got out of there

and I wasn't, I was up in the restaurant for a couple of hours having a nice steak and wine and up in the suite, but I still smell like the fucking Wells Fargo Center of Xfinity Mobile Arena when you get out of there and you get home and you sniff your body. You know where you've been. How was the parking, how was the double parking arm? Oh my God, it is fucking atrocious, holy fuck. It is so bad. It is the first time I've actually like really had to go through it and it was like snowing that day, so there's a lot of traffic, but it was excruciating going through that. It is the stupidest engineered system I've ever seen. It does not work well at all. It's just absolutely fucking stupid and they still have like, like you pull in and the arm goes up, right? And you know, the two cars have to go which is confusing as hell because you've never seen anywhere in your life. So that happens. And then they have the scanners where you're supposed

to like flash and like make payment, you know, like a touchless payment thing without an agent, but those don't work. So the one guy has to go for each car and you roll the window down and you pass the car and you pay or you show your phone that way. So the technology is even being utilized and then there's just other random fucking stupid delays. So like we were in the line that wasn't moving. Like why? It's like the people don't know where they're going or something. It's just like unfuckin' believable. Luckily my buddy had paid for a premium parking so we were literally like the first spot right outside one of the doors, which was nice for leaving, but it is an absolute nightmare. I mean, that is just some of the most stupid and dumb engineering and ideas. I've ever seen when it comes to trying to get people in somewhere really ridiculous. Got an idea for Dan Hilfery and the crew over at the new arena at the Xfinity Mobile Center, whatever they call it,

on a triple parking. Yeah, yeah, arm. I think that's gonna work. There's no way that can't work. You're gonna triple your productivity. God. Yeah, I just don't understand. You're going through that fucking thing and the technology exists. Just fucking take a scan of the license plate. Like when you go on the turnpike and shit, like they send you the bill or have a system where you can register your license plate with an account and then you just drive in and park and the camera takes a picture of it and they send you the fucking bill and like, do it that way. Why are you doing it the other way? You got to pay via credit card anyway. So what's the difference between paying via credit card now and later? It's just like, it's like they're getting all the cash in their pocket. Like you can't even pay cash and they don't accept it. We have a toll highway up here in the Toronto area and I can count on my two hands how many times

I've ever used that highway because it's infuriating because our tax dollars paid for that highway. And then our awesome provincial government decided to lease it for a hundred years and I think it's a company in France that gets the fucking money and shit for it. So I like refuse, I refuse to go on. It's a terrible idea. It was a cash grab for our government to get quick, quick money. But like literally, I remember when they started with that the 407, somebody, I don't know who it was but people were trying to figure out ways to fuck with the cameras so that you could drive on it for free. People, the big thing that apparently worked, I don't know how, but apparently hairspray. People took hairspray and would fucking just coat their fucking license plate and the cameras wouldn't be able to pick up the image. And I was like, really? I'm like a multi, like a billion dollar fucking system

and the hairsprays screws it all up. And again, be kidding me. I think they fixed that error but I think people were running away with that for a few months anyway. No, it's amazing. Yeah, that's absolutely amazing. Well, I think that if you wanna make a lot of money you should create a camera system that just takes the damn photos of the fucking license plates and can see through hairspray. And so people just drive in freely so there's no waiting. You just drive in like a regular parking lot, you know? You're not sitting and waiting to make a transaction, no transactions at all. And your license plates captured via camera and you get sent a fucking bill. That's it. You know there's our people ripping off their back license plate and then parking and then putting it on and there's gonna be all kinds of Tom Foolery going on. Yeah, it could be possible. I mean, they could also have some sort of service in there

like have a penalty associated with that sort of thing. It's just the same concept as like easy pass where you if you don't have the transmitter and you go through the thing, they're gonna send you something because all the license plates are tied into the PA, DMV and then there is a mechanism to bill you on that stuff and create some penalties if you're not, if you don't pay it. But I think at this point, like the overwhelming majority of people have some sort of either transmitter or I've got something on my new car where it's hooked up to it and it just charges with the tolls and stuff. So I don't know, I just think that that would solve a lot of aggravation from people and create a service that you can implement at all these different arenas. I'm sure somebody thought of that. But and it does work because when I drove to Pittsburgh last winter to catch the penguins and the flyers, I did get a toll fee bailed to my house from New York State. Yeah, so I mean, it totally works.

Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, the system's already there. It's just a matter of allowing the teams like, I just don't know why the teams like don't tap into it. And like the fucking parking has been a problem from you know, for fucking 50 years down there and they never thought of doing this. Like this is not that radical of an idea. And then you could even like you said as a marketing gimmick, like imagine on the big screen in the arena where you get like the craziest like license plates like, oh look at this one. Bra lady. That'd be cool actually. Yeah, I wonder who's that one is. Make flyers license plates. You get like a customized one. You can have like a like a season competition where if you come in with a flyers plate, it's captured and like you can, yeah, like flash it on the big screeners. Yeah. Coots. Kataria. Kataria. Coots sucks. Fucking giant the other week. And there was a pen 15 license plate is on the parking lot. Yes. Oh my God. I was like, how did that pass?

Oh my God. I just saw one speaking to this. This was on the internet, but it was a real one. It was a Florida plate and it was fun bags with a Z. Oh. That's a fuck. Apparently there's a huge list on like our DMVs. And there's like names and things that you can't put on on the license plate. I think my French, one guy that I know tried to get one that said, you be six, I be nine. And that was rejected. God. 515. Yeah. That's great. Dude, this one, Mitchkov Fat. Oh, look, that's Rick Tockett's car. Yeah, Mitchkov Fat. Shit. Yeah. Oh God. Yeah. So I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Well, sit here in a few years and Matt and we Mitchkov is succeeding for another team.

He pulled his cutter go to you and got out and went on and succeeded elsewhere. Well, go, man, what went wrong here? Well, because he had a shitty head coach and a shitty media team that just for some reason wanted to point out all of his faults at an available opportunity instead of seeing one good player succeed here for reasons. Yeah. I still think just the head coach switch, which we talked about probably months ago was a huge problem. He just can't be starting to rebuild. And like after the first year, you fire the coach. This is like the fuck. It's just to unstable environment. Unless you're tankin', that's fine. But if you're trying to actually maintain these players and have your franchise cornerstone. You can't tank. Yeah. Oh, we have our franchise cornerstone. Let's fuck with them by giving them a new coach. That's not a good coach for this team anyway. Boom. That's unfortunate. Well, by the time, I mean,

I don't know, I think that, I don't know, we can talk about this another episode, I guess. How long Rick Tocket has here? Too long is the answer. Yeah, he's going nowhere for the foreseeable future. He should be a live-year deal. But he's got a five-year deal. I think he gets through three. Depends how bad I think three max. Three. It seems to be what will last around here. I don't think he gets past three. He definitely gets at least two. I mean, if shit goes like, if there's like, you know, Vancouver shit going on here by the end of next year, I think it's plausible. But now, yeah, I wouldn't bring it back to the end of this year. But especially if they make the playoffs, he's not going nowhere. Unfortunately, we're stuck with this guy for years. If they make the playoffs, that probably, I mean, unless there is, you know, behind the scenes blow up. If they make the playoffs, that will guarantee him an additional two years.

Because the first year after it, if they suck, it's the buffer year. It's like, well, we've seen what he can do. So, like, we're just going to forget about the bad news. I'm sorry. So the playoffs guarantee him an extra two years after that, because there's going to be a buffer year. Oh, the God. I don't know if I got four years of rick-talking in me. Who's on the next short list to be the next Philadelphia Flyers coach? What's the unabomber Ted Luzinski or whatever? What's he up to? Tanner Luzinski probably be the... The Tanner Luzinski was on, played against the Flyers the other day. Yeah. There's like names like Black, watching Pittsburgh, Jack, St. Ivan, he played, and that was like, wow, the Hexdal era is coming right back. Yeah, the Flyers didn't sign him, and then he's been in the AHL for the last handful of years, but yeah, I don't remember which team it was, but Tyler Pitlick is still hanging around.

He's a good player. I saw Hartman score a goal, and then who was the other one? Yeah, Tanner Luzinski was on the... Golden Knights. Golden Knights. Yes. Yeah, they're still out there. Next GM of the Flyers, Tanner Luzinski. It's gonna be a former Flyer, right? They don't hire outside people anymore, so your next president, GM, and coach are all gonna be former Flyers. Well, yeah, we've probably got a couple of years on that, but I mean, these people aren't gonna last forever. I mean, they might, I don't know. It'll feel like forever, one way or the other. At some point, this band is gonna be broken up. I mean, all front offices are at some point, but... I don't know, just keep at each other on the back.

Be like, oh, rebuilds take like eight to 10 years. Look at the AHVALANGE. Be like, we have like a Cateri-A and Du Bois. It's like, not quite McKinnon and Lendascar. Yeah, dude, I fucking, so I canceled my cable subscription recently. There you go. It's like, I only would use it to literally watch the Phillies and occasionally the Flyers, occasionally the Sixers. And like, the Eagles. Look, that's it. That's pretty much all you think I use it for anymore, either sports. I don't watch any of it. And like, the Phillies piss me off so much. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They pull the Flyers. We like our team. Yeah, you're right there. Everything's great. It just angered me. I was like, and like, it made me reconsider why I'm paying for this. And I was like, you know what, if I want to watch it,

I can always get, because I think you can get the Phillies even in market through MLB.tv on a monthly subscription now, which was new as of last year. They've allowed those sort of rights. So I could always get that. But I don't think I'm going back. I'm going to try not to go back. Then bring up it. It seems about like, if I take all the cable out like with taxes and fees, maybe $75 to $90 a month. Yeah, I think that's where mine's sitting at these days, too. The internet's like 60 or something with some discounts, because I use a cell phone service with them. But yeah, cut it. And then I got to return like the fucking stupid cable box and like the remote, but like, I'm thinking like, well, what if like, can I just like toggle it back on? Like, let's say I wanted to watch like, I don't know, the NFL this Sunday, can I just like, like that day? Like, hey, just turn it back on. And then afterwards, I'll just call them again. And then I just turn it off.

Just charge you for the one day. It's fine. It's all pro rated Sunday. Let you do that. I don't know if there's a limitation on, on toggling on it off. That would be great. You call up the cable company. It's like, well, why are you canceling your service? Are you not happy with, uh, with the billing or whatever? Like, how can we help you? Dude, I just watched the flyers blow a fucking meeting. It's a man myth. That's why I've had enough. I don't want to see these anymore. It's going to be like, well, because the Phillies embarrass themselves for a third straight off season. Um, yeah. And the flyers have been aggravating me for over a decade now. So, uh, that's the reason I thought my internet connection was glitching, but it turns out Sean Catery is that slow when he skates at the end of the day. Okay. Yeah. I mean, I would consider getting a flyers package. I don't even know if they do that with, uh, is it through ESPN plus

still with the NHL package? But I don't know if they like do it by team. I used to just be the whole league at like 120 bucks or something. But, but then the local markets were blacked out. So, yeah, local markets were still blacked out last. I had, I gave up on ESPN plus because I wasn't using it much anymore. But, yeah, it's too much. I don't have time just to sit there and fucking have something on. But yeah, I mean, I would consider that if they made it affordable, I'd be like, all right, um, I'd consider it for, you know, flyers game, just to be able to check in on them and then for Phillies. Yeah, the, it was cool that MLB got past that regional shit for the most part where you can actually buy that now. It's expensive though, like for one team, the Phillies is like, uh, 30 a month or something, maybe like 28 a month. But then you can do the whole thing and you get every team for like 44 a month. I'm not bad, I guess. Which isn't that bad. Yeah. I barely watch the flyers anymore anyway.

It just background noise most nights. Yeah. And then I figured like, attention to them a bit of a long time. And then I figured like, you know, like at least a tenth of the season is played in the middle of the night, right? We're on the road and like San Jose and Vegas. I'm not really like, yeah, like I might catch a little bit of one of those, but like I'm not doing the flyers after dark stuff at all. So no, those are not even even when I'm paying for it. I'm not watching those games no matter what. So then you're down to like, you know, 70 games and then well, maybe there's some like central ones at nine, some eight or five or six there. It's like 60 some. And I don't know. What if what if what if we answer you into a draw and flyers assistant coach Yogi could take you out to fucking chickies and bees. Yeah. Yeah. It's all of garden. Fucking pick my brains out. Oh, diseased possible.

Actually, I know people up here would always brave about going down to Buffalo. And then like, oh, you got to eat all of garden when you're down there. Apparently, apparently we are getting all of garden back in the Toronto. I think it's in Toronto. Yeah. So look, look out world. All of garden's back, baby. God, I haven't been there. I've been in all of garden in 30 years. Yeah. Neither of us. It's been a long time. The big chain that from the states that came up was back in the day was ponderosa. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And we had one here in in Mississauga. I remember going there once when I was a kid. That was a big thing like everybody had to go to ponderosa. Yeah. I remember that. I don't remember going to that much, but I absolutely remember the name. They still around. I don't think there's one around here. Ponderosa. I doubt they still exist.

All those chains have totally hit the fan. If I could spell anything, right? Yeah. Restaurant business is so hard. People get 16 to 18 remain in the US. Wow. That's cool. Have we located in the Midwest? Oh, there's one in Lancaster. Really? Fuck. Let's make the trip. Yeah. We're going to do a live podcast from ponderosa. Okay. We have a reservation. We put out that picture. Yeah. We're going to invite all the flyers media. What have we tried to organize? Like something. Oh, like. So. And then when the waiter comes over, separate bills that Kurt Skye can pay for himself. We're all. Jordan Hall is a good guy, whatever. Yeah. We'll pay for his fucking iced tea.

There's a ponderosa in Butler. Look at that. Huh. I know what I'm doing this weekend. That's a ponderosa stank. Yes. How far is that from your house, Dan? It's at least a couple hours an hour. Ponderous directions. Make the drive. No matter what. Give the snowstorm. She's notated. Two feet of snow coming this weekend. Goddamn. Directions are it is. One lucky fan of brotherly pod will get branded with a flyer's logo. Cattle rancher style. We'll eat up the iron rod. We'll brand somebody. It's a couple hours worth it.

Worth every minute. We'll do the challenge. If you can eat this 96 ounce steak. And it's paid for. If not, then you have to pay for everything. There was a place by me that used to do that. I forget it. It was like 98 ounce steak or something like that. Oh man. It was like huge. It was like 150 bucks back in the day. And it's like, wow. To finish that. You get the meat sweats, man. Yeah. You throw off that. That's just too much. And they had a wall of like 25 people that actually eat it. Man, that's ridiculous. I love steak, but fuck that would be. That's insane. Okay. We'll check back in a couple of weeks. See what's going on. Nice.

Sounds good. All right, guys. Take it easy. It's a lot of fun tonight as always. Yeah. For sure, boys. Okay. Yeah. Good night, Mike. Night, Dan. He needs to stay warm, guys. That's it, too. Yeah. Good night. Night, Mike. Night, Dan. He needs to stay warm, guys. That's it, too. That's it. Yeah. Good night. Good night.
