00Checked at 3.45 traffic 2 miles, final without the way. Cross runway 30 left, runway 30 right, clear for takeoff. OK, cross 30 left, clear for takeoff, 30. One of the issues that's related to that, Mani, too, is, and I know Demarco keeps absolutely hammering this, and it's a great point, and it's that Sean Caterier is a dead weight on any line that he is on when it comes to playing with any offensive players, guys that have speed and skill. It's a huge problem. I mean, Sean Caterier is just too slow to play in this league,
04any significant minutes, and it's an issue, whether it's with anybody that's got skill, Mitch Koff, Zegras, you add more tone to it? That's going to be a problem. And until they, he's, yeah, he's not a bad guy, I guess, but like he's just not doing this team any favors on the roster by being shackled to whatever, you know, skilled player they want to add to the team. And it's just not going to work. Like that is stunting the growth of whomever is on his wing. He just cannot keep up anymore. So that's a huge problem that also doesn't seem to be going away. That's a huge problem for four or five more years, 20, 30. He's not going anywhere. No. In fact, he's playing like fucking one C right who's getting power play time and pedal to kill time. They're not slowing down Sean Caterier's usage. He's being played probably more now than he ever was. Dude, he's dependable.
07He's the USS Sean Caterier. He's like a fucking aircraft carrier in fucking the Pacific theater World War II. But it's mobile too. USS Coots. The USS Coots. Oh, you know what, just for all time sake, because I know that on another show, Dan, you did the twisted steel of Sam Moran. I need, Mike, I need you to do the Sean Caterier Superfan once again. Oh, Sean Caterier. Oh, we just love Coots. So, you know, he hasn't scored since December 7th. I'm surprised it's that recently, quite wrongly. Yeah. He's on pace. I just, I just had calculated this. Where is this in my notes here? Sean Caterier has a score since December 7th. Since then,
11he only has eight assists. That extrapolates out to eight goals and 42 points over a full season. Remember, he was back when he had that four point game earlier this year, and we called it. We said that last year, he had a five point game, and he had a miserable season. Yeah, it's okay. He's back, guys. But have you heard that he's got a 56.63 percent, which is first among flyers forwards and expected goals 4 percentage. His coursey 4 percentage is 52.53 percent, which is also first amongst flyers forwards. His shots on goal percentage is 54.4 percent, which is also first among flyers forwards. And his expected goals isolated impact is at plus 0.0246, which is also first amongst flyers forwards. So clearly, everything's fine, Sean Caterier is still the goat, the townguides. According to Charlie O'Connor. I that's an awful rebuttal. Gosh, man. Any of those mean it's a pathetic rebuttal. I mean, you're just taking an amalgamation of other
17stats and using them to prove what that he's good in these categories, but not good in actually producing anything. Like, what does that even mean? It's like a relevant. It's embarrassing. It's embarrassing rebuttal. By the way, his own reply to Charlie's one. If you want to ignore all that and still rant and read every day on here, the Sean Caterier sucks and should be scratch and isn't me held accountable, then go ahead. But you forfeit the right to cite advanced metrics to support the players. You do like just say it. Meanwhile, it's not like those stats, by the way, those are not league stats. Those are amongst flyers players. Hey, live at the pool to just flyers players. Then he's going to say, well, if you don't support these numbers, then you can't have a rebuttal here. You cherry picked stats amongst the shit group of flyers words you got here. Disappointed. You open this up to the league. Then let's see what's going on here. Compared to fuck, we're still talking about God damn advanced into like cherry picking your
18fucking bullshit stats. When this doesn't matter when he's got five fucking goals on the year, while he's large. He's been playing one C. Yeah. And at this point, I don't give a shit about about those deep dive advanced stats. I mean, I ain't paying to go see that slot, bro. So like, you get to go sit in the press box for free every game. In fact, you probably didn't remember the last time you shelled out a dollar to go to a flyers game. I ain't going to pay for that shit anymore. And a lot of people aren't doing that either, man. Like like you think people are going there and be like, oh my God, check out this fucking expected goals for on the ice. Holy hell, what a great play. That's going to add to that stat. Like it's a relevant man. These are stupid deep dives that don't that don't have any any place in terms of people's ability to like the team and watch the player and enjoy the product. Like it's it's two day to driven. It's not relevant. And it's not having an impact on the ice at all. It's really not his key. He's going to have eight
20fucking goals in the entire season. I don't care how great the advanced stats are. Eight goals from your one sea captain is a fucking joke. It's absolutely freaking pathetic. It's unproductive. It's terrible. Absolutely terrible. I don't care about the other stuff. And you know what? I don't use the advanced stats to support my opinions on other players as well. I can see what makes sense in the ice most of the time. And I ain't paying for the shit anymore. So it's like once you start showing out some dollars, man, then let's revisit this argument and you can start and maybe that will actually change your opinion on this stuff because nobody's going to a fucking game to see Sean Catery's advanced stats. He's playing what is the fourth most minutes among flowers forwards, by the way. And he's tired. Sean Catery. Yeah, Sean Catery's fucking fatigued. The same guy who's talked about how fucking fat now to shape Matt May Mitchkov is. Man, May Mitchkov is fat. He got shape. He got very cocky player said Sean Catery like fucking three
22weeks ago. Meanwhile, he's sitting there now. He's flinching. Oh, I don't know goddamn conditioning. You asshole instead of shit on your goddamn teammates all day. God. I hate Sean Catery. I fucking hate Sean Catery. The fact is this guy is like the face of the franchise is just fucking bullshit. We're gonna look back in this era in like 10 years and just be embarrassed that this ever happened. That Sean Catery's your fucking top four dude who's a captain. Is he the worst captain of franchise history? I believe that was one thing we want to fucking talk about it now. I already know that I'm all worked up about him. Who's worse? Anybody? Yeah, that was my question. And it's a really good one. Admittedly, it's it is premature. It's not, but should this continue? Should this continue? This this this this woeful production. In fact, I'd love to know what Tim Saunders thinks of that down production since he's down there. I wonder what Tim Saunders would think about about that,
25but I'm not sure, but not about that. I mean, there's a lot of things into like if this continues this year and then next year and let's face it, he's not gonna get better. He's not gonna get quicker. He's not gonna become more fleet of foot. He's not gonna get more stick handling prowess. Like this is basically what he is now. And the fact that this guy only became captain, you know, very recently was it last year? It's been two years now. It's right before the senior years ago. Like this is like pretty ugly right now. And then you go into the the comments and whatever you want to say about he called out Mitch Cobb, he didn't call out Mitch Cobb, whatever. He his communication was interpreted in a way that it slandered a teammate. Yes, or it was interpreted that way. The one thing that raised me to this question about is Sean
26Katery the worst. And again, he hasn't been captain in fairness for long enough to really decide this, but I just thought it'd be an interesting question to kind of talk about. When the flyers were winning, I will say he used a word that was appropriate. And that word was we. We we are working hard. We are getting points. We are getting wins. We're getting results. We're getting good goal tending. We're killing penalties well. We're we're we're we're we're always in games. We we we we we and that's great. My issue with Sean Katery as captain is that when the team is losing and in a seven game losing streak or losing seven of eight, he continues to use the word we and as Mike showed us with that that that glorious representation of stats about when he scored last and it's pathetic.
31A real leader, a captain, when times are good, you definitely have to say we it's a team effort. We the collective. We are accomplishing these goals. We are doing this. Absolutely correct. When the team is losing, you don't say we because it's a diffusion of responsibility. And as captain, if there's one thing, it's accountability and it's responsibility. You have to say the word I I am not good enough right now. I am not scoring goals. I am not performing on the power plate. I I I because you are taking those bullets and they're taking the heat off of your fellow teammates. You are the captain. That is what you are supposed to do. Instead, he's the guy that when things go bad, he doesn't talk to John Tortarella for fucking two years. Yeah. Because it's about him, not the we. It's a very
42misplaced concept of when he's using we and I. And that's that's my weird thing is when times are bad, it would be really refreshing. If Sean could three A stood up and said, you know what guys? I know that we're struggling right now. And you don't take the heat off of Sam Urson. Take the heat off of Travis Sandheim getting dog walked by Clayton Keller in Utah's game the other day. Take responsibility. Take the heat and the focus away from everybody. Take the heat away from Garden. It has the way. Yeah. But he didn't and he won't. And then I think it was Owen Tippet who was at Owen Tippet who got elbowed. Who was it that got nailed and then they left the game and then Mitchkov had to fight the guy. It was Barkey. Yes. Barkey. It was the Rangers, right? I think it was the ducks game that he got killed by. It was the ducks game. Yeah. And Madvey Mitchkov had to fight the guy. Take him true, I believe. But he's a piece of shit because he's fat and out of
46his shape and whatever. And Sean Caturia was there. And what did he do? We, we, I, I, that's what I mean. Like I don't get what he's what he's out there. He's misplacing this me and we and I think. And as a captain, it's got to be very clear. When things are going well, it's we. When things aren't going well, you have to stand up and take take take the shots. You have no choice. You got to take the responsibility. That's what the cease for. He said something too many like about gosh, I forget the exact quote, but it was some of the effect of like some guys are are doing the right things and other guys aren't playing the right way. Right. Yeah. At some point during the losing streak. It's like, all right. Well, maybe you got to figure that out, man. Like, what can you do about it, Captain Coots? What's on the, what's on the docket for you there? What the fuck? The answer is he's the worst captain.
49Oh, he definitely is. If you look at the whole list. So you got shot by the worst captain. Claude Jeroe. Claude Jeroe is better. Pronger was better. Richard was better. Jason Smith was better. Peter Forest was better. Dary and Hatcher. Yeah. Kehremah. Eric Dejartin. Eric Lindross. Kevin Denean. Rick Tocket. Fuck that guy. Maybe he may be the worst. Just shitty fucking goddamn GM coach. What a fuck he is. Ron Souter. Dave Pullen. Bobby Clark. Bill Barber. Mel Bridgeman. And Ed Van Neep. Lou Engady. That's your list. Very short list to choose from. So yes, Sean Catery's the worst captain. Yeah, I'd say so. Yeah, for sure. Country mile as far as I'm concerned. He's been around for the most playoff list seasons. Yeah. Yeah. He's still got four more to go too. Oh,
49four playoff list. You think the fly, I think the flyers probably sneak in the playoffs at some point, whether it's at some point like this year or the next four years. Maybe at some point in our lifetimes again, we may see a flyers playoff appearance. Yeah. I know that I really want them to do that because I think that's validating what they're doing to some extent. And that that reaches, like that's the Mount Everest for them. Like they've reached the goal. Like that's it. That's all any brewers ever wanted. We made the playoffs was to make the playoffs is just all. Yeah. Like, you know, I've compared it to the 2018 in the past and it's like the same thing. It's like you have this fundamentally broken team that fights and drags their way into the post season. You get there. You're going to get their fucking doors blown off by Tampa in the first round of the snag a wildcard spot. We know that because Tampa fucking killed them twice already. Yeah. Like we know how that's going to go, but they're going to sit there and pat themselves in the fucking back because that's all Danny Brear and Jones have talked about for
50the last four years now. We're going to make the playoffs. We're going to make the playoffs. That's what they want. They go into the summer. Fucking they overlook Jason Roberts and Robert Tom. They don't want any of that shit. No. Oh, this team can make it. And they run it back and get and they fucking annihilate the next season. Hopefully everyone gets fired and we can bring in a real GM, but I'm not that lucky. They're going to do it under the condition that they're not going to pay for any rental players or give up any assets to bring insignificant players. That's the one caveat that they need to do it under because they don't want they don't play that game. They don't want to ruin the future and all that stuff. So so they're going to do it by being extremely conservative with the way that they run the roster. And then that's the caveat on it. So it's not like they're just selling out for one year, which at times, yes, I'd want them to do not now, but I haven't the past. It's so frustrating to me. It's terrible that like all they want to do is make the playoffs and then they sit here and go, but we're not going to make any additions. We're not going to buy players of the dead. It's like
54if you want to make the playoffs so bad, why don't you at least give the team a fighting chance when they get there? Like we're going to bring in Derek Grant and Nate Thompson and call it a fucking day. Like if the flyers even do that this year, I'd be surprised. Like why? Why be so adverse if you want to make the play fine? Listen, whatever. I don't think they're going to make it far. I don't think it's going to mean much longer, but if you want to make the playoffs, at least make it count. And he just, no, we don't want to do it. Like they've already come out and be like, we're not making deadline additions. I believe Brear said that dirt is fucking mid season presser. And I'm like, why? How? Like Jesus Christ. So they're going to make the playoffs just to get annihilated by Tampa. They don't leave it like. The sad thing though is it's the messaging. They're going to finish just out of the second wild card. And it should be seen as a complete failure. But it's not. It's going to be touted back. But look at how much better we did than last year. We're so much better. And it's like, no, like either you go in and you make the
59playoffs or you don't, you don't want to be drafting 14th. Like it's just, it's the worst spot to be in. And the craziest part too is now that the discourse between media and fans and everybody else and they're talking about the rebuild. And there's questions about the rebuild and the drafting and just the overall, you know, road map for this rebuild. I saw somebody. I don't know who it was. But they said, well, it's not really a rebuild because ownership isn't letting Danny rebuild. And it's a motherfucker. You guys said for a long time, he stated it a rebuild. He said he wasn't afraid to call it a rebuild. Look, look at all the draft picks that he's gotten. And it's like now all of a sudden, he's not allowed to rebuild. No, it's not a rebuild. Come on. Which one is it? The goalpost keeps moving with this guy. Can we nail this down and at least hold him to some kind of accountability for something? No. Instead of always just making an excuse. It's a new era of
01excuses. Yeah. Like it's always, oh, well, we would have made the playoffs if Dan Flodar didn't get hurt. Oh, we would have made the playoffs if Mitch Cobb didn't come out of shape to camp. It's going to be a new crap all over again. It'll be another set of excuses. The same as it always was. Yeah, because the Flyers can't make a bad decision. And that's the thing is that the team never makes bad decisions. It's always just bad luck or players aren't doing what they're told to do. That's it. The organization has never constructed anything improperly. Never made a wrong decision regarding the direction of anything. Nope. No coaching errors. Ever. They've been perfect. They are batten of thousand actually. All cutter goat chase fault. Yeah. Yeah, just horrible. Yeah. Yeah, it's just like Charlie keeps getting on this fucking bad wagon and we're doing it again. It always drives me nuts where he's, you know, Briar, they did rebuild. They did do. You don't have
04to like what they're doing, but they rebuilt. I'm like, such bullshit. If they did anything that was I identifiable as a rebuild, we wouldn't be having this conversation of whether or not it was a fucking rebuild in the first place. You know, like a Chicago and go, man, are they rebuilding right now? Let's argue about it. No, because they're fucking rebuilding. Yeah, it's obvious. Yeah. No, it's like the players. They never rebuilt. They didn't rebuild under run Hexdal. They didn't rebuild under Chuck Fletcher. I mean, they sucked away more than they showed up. That fucking front office really wanted to make the playoffs. And they did the same thing here. Like they're draft picks. You know, there are two ones that matter of mortone and Mitch Cobb and both of which were slightly later picked. They never had a top three pick. They never had one. The last one was goddamn Nolan Patrick. They even had top picks. They didn't purposely lose. They didn't sell their assets. They fucking haven't done that at all. They just keep resigning everybody. They didn't
05sell Travis fucking connect when they should have. They didn't sell Sean Cartier. They didn't sell their out. Like they were never ever rebuilding. They tried to be good and they sucked. It's not rebuilding. That's just bad luck. That's that's being a bad GM and building a shitty hockey team. They were never rebuilding at any point over the last three GM. Yeah. It's a ridiculous. Like, you know, when people try to make different definitions of what rebuilding is, no, there's one definition. There is an interesting follow on X's name is Kirk McCracken. And he had a great response to this topic. He said, genuinely, how do you not see that relying on draft steals reclamation projects or the hope of an equal like situation to fill your holes at one C and one D is an inherent flaw. This guy, you know, we're talking about, and the majority of the flyer's beats are just plain lying for access at this point. No, it's like that is that's exactly what the flyers are doing. They're trying to use those absurd mechanisms to build their team from the core
09there. Like, that is ridiculous. That's not a rebuild. Like, why don't change the definition of that with a bunch of bullshit semantics thinking on cloud nine and then spitting back that everybody else is an idiot because they don't understand your cocking made me way of interpreting the semantic. Like, that's what this guy does. It's really, really unprofessional aggravating. I don't have like all the time too. How much fucking time do you have? My God. It's like, and the best is it's under the guise of a plan. It's like, it's not. It's like, it's basically just it's like, it's just an idea. It's like a framework. It's like, it's just to preach endless patience. And then when things happen to come up and go your way, you're like, oh, look, see, it's part of the plan. We wouldn't got Trevor's secrets. And it's like, yeah, you have to wait how many years to get to get him. Yeah. Great. How many other other guys come up and you don't go after them. Another great, great quote on this topic was from Dickson at Let Me Be Frank Bro.
14He talks about Charlie O'Connor talking about the rebuild. And he's like, if their plan was such a low percentage of of chance of success to begin with, and it fails, then the plan wasn't flawed. What are you talking about? It's no different than a guy hitting on 20 in black jack. It could work, but it probably won't. And it's true. I thought that that was a great point. That's a good one. Yeah. Why would you purposely, like, if you're starting over on any project, whether it's building a team or building anything really, if you're starting over on something, why would you purposely choose a path that has the least amount of percentage chance of succeeding compared to other paths that have a markedly higher percentage chance of succeeding? Why would you do that? Why would they do it for this long? You know, everyone keeps saying that it has to do with the tickets. And like, ownership doesn't
16want the flyers to suck that badly. And I just, that's one of those arguments that just frustrates the living piss out of me because in the short term, I'm sure they would suffer to some extent if they like sold all their players. But in the long term, you would be repaid like 10 fold because you would have success. You would have top young players that everyone want to pay for. And you'd be making the playoffs regularly again and everything would be good to go. But like, that has to even out better than the idea of putting out this mushy middle product for 15 fucking years that nobody fucking cares about. Like, I don't know where they are. Any more attendance-wise, I haven't looked it up in a long, long time. But like, to see what a team like, Chicago would be doing attendance-wise from their peak to their doldrums. Now they're kind of building up again. Maybe it's, I mean, Santa says it's small markets. I don't know if they're trend would be the same. But like, what they were in the mid 2010s when they were one of the dominant teams in the West to the, but to now that celebranties here and in dominating everything. Like, that market trend has to be more productive than what the flyers would be.
19Like, yeah, even if we're assuming that they shut down the avenue because they don't want to lose money, like, you have to be in the long term losing more money, rolling out a mediocre product that pisses everybody off for nearly 15 years since 2014 when Hextall took over. Like, you have to be losing more money. You have to be averaging less than what they are. It just comes in higher velocities and this is a proper rebuilding team. Like, if you sold off Jarrou and Fora check in Simmons when Hextall was here. Yeah, you're probably what had been in the doldrums attendance wise for a few years. But if you drafted Matthew as an icon and fucking McDavid and you had all those guys and those drafts, you probably would have been a perennial playoff team by now and you want to want to cup. But they didn't do that because they were fucking averse to the idea of something or players. And then Chuck Fletcher comes along and fucking whatever that guy was doing. And then Brear essentially picked up with the Hextall plan of we're just going to fucking re-sign everybody and not making outside additions and just tell everyone it's a rebuild. I have to do his belief for an undetermined amount of time and we'll get there again. There's no plan here for as much as they talk about rebuilding the plan and the
22journey and whatever the fucking catchphrase PR term of the week is they don't seem to have a plan legitimately, especially if they shut down Robert Thomas and Jason Roberts and they didn't want to do that in this summer. When 2026 should have been the summer regardless of who was available, you're telling me right now what we know about this team. If Conor McDavid was, but you think they would have even thrown their fucking hat in the ring for that guy or Krelka Prey's over Jack whoever the fuck made it, there's no way they would have even tried. I've never been more convinced of that than I am right now. Six months ago, I would have said you don't maybe. But after hearing this shit, they wouldn't do it. After Quitte Hughes, all we need a one-deed to turn it around and then Quitte Hughes comes available and they say no, we're not interested. Didn't even pick up the fucking phone. I'm supposed to believe they would have done something in 26. I mean, come on man. I was bored at night. It wasn't fucking last night. I know how this team operates. Twisting this entire fucking rebuilding thing, which Charlie goes and he says they're actually
23rebuilding right now and this losing. It's like, if they're making the argument of they're not tanking, they just suck after this West Coast trip and the losing last seven to the eight. Isn't that more damning to the vision that they're trying to put out rather than just saying, hey, another free fall through the linemps for another year, that's all part of the plan. Like, God, I just, I hate this team. I hate everything they do. I hate the way this rebuild is sold. And the messaging and all it's like, it's not an acceptable part of the plan to have a free fall through the standings, the same season you're trying to make the playoffs for the first time in six years, either rebuild or don't you fucking asshole. And I think the thing that bothers me the most is just the gross undervaluation the franchise have as of the excitement that can be generated by being in the ring for top picks and getting top picks. Yeah. Like, imagine if the flyers got like Gavin McKenna, like, he's up at Penn State now. Like, people would be flooding the arena to see
26this guy. Oh my God, he went to Penn State number one overall picked. It's amazing. He's on the flyers like, like, there would be a surge of people for that. And like, that's just one example. But the flyers not only don't they value being at the top of the draft, but they actively try to not be at the top of the draft in order to prove some sort of point. And I think what I've been saying for years about this is like, look, like, I think that not doing that is absolutely the wrong thing to do. And it gets you to where they're at now where they're going to be in this, you know, eight to 14 range in the league, which is a joke. But at some point, I've been trying to stress the others like, hey, just try it. You know, let's just try it for once. And if it doesn't work, shit, didn't work, then we can go back to getting all of our middle six players. And those guys are pretty easy to find. You can get them in free agency if you have cap space, which you would if that sort of rebuild failed. Fine. Who cares? And it's like, oh, we don't want to end up like Buffalo,
28either. It's like, I don't care if I end up like Buffalo, whatever tried. You could also end up there's plenty of other examples of teams that have done it the right way that have ended up and had full success with flying colors. So like, just try it. Life is short. We're all going to die. Just try it. That's my advice. It's like, you know what? Let's just take a couple years. And try it. Have an open mind. If it doesn't work, then four or five years, we can do it your way again. We'll go back to your way. Fine. But just try. That's the thing is that it's just this complete close-mindedness and reluctance to even attempt to sniff a different way of doing things. That is the fucking huge problem that I cannot understand why people are so devout about that. And they defend it to the death. A lot of almost all of the flyers, media people do. And, you know, honestly, I think a lot of people like you guys are saying, you know, on social media have turned
28on that. Even our good friend, Jamie Baskow, I think is really having a come to Jesus moment on a lot of this stuff and saying, wait a second, this shit ain't clicking anymore. He's really questioning what the franchise is doing. And I don't know, I just think just have an open mind for a couple of years. Try something different and see what happens. So just for the context, Dan, you mentioned San Jose and their rebuild. Elliott Friedman spoke about last year. I don't remember what their average attendance was. But this year, the average attendance is up 3,500 this year. So a lot of that is Maclin, Celebrini. A lot of that is the steps forward that San Jose has taken. So I just did some quick math. For hockey, the SAP center is 17,000 album around it up to 17,500, 3500 extra tickets out of that capacity of building is a 20% increase. So you're telling me that if the flyers did their quote unquote, real rebuild that they
35couldn't see a giant improvement. I'm not saying 20%, but a significant improvement that would improve their bottom line and their revenue and everything else. I mean, I think the proofs some the putting it would the weird thing though is the building, the new Xfinity, whatever the fuck it's going to be called, the new Wells Fargo Center. I don't know what it's going to be called. The building that's going to be shared with the 76ers is slated to open in either 2030 or 2031. And this is the team that we are going to be putting into that arena. The wild card to bubble team. That's the team. That's going to be the one that's going to put asses and seats. That's going to be the one that's going to drive season ticket sales. That's the one that's going to be driving advertising revenue. I okay. I mean, listen, if you think that Sean Cateria is going to be the poster boy for this team that goes and opens that new arena, go ahead. Go right ahead and do
41that, guys. It's okay. That's when they'll do the banner reason. That's also the first jersey number retired in the new Wells Fargo Center. Yeah, they will. Oh, my God. But I bet they were tires jersey. Yeah. Well, you know, just attack at a mic's point there to try something different. Hey, how about you trade for Quinn Hughes and Jason Robertson and try that as something different. Like, you know, if you want to rebuild, hate more power to you, how about the opposite? How would you bring in a fucking star via trade? You saw all the good shit Trevor Zegers did. And that guy, you got him as low as you did because he was injured for the last two years, you know, and putting up 20 points. You got him as a rehab project and he's still succeeded. And people drew interest. Imagine if you brought in Jason Robertson this year and the guy put up fucking 50 goals next year. Imagine if you actually put, had you fucking got the Danny Brothers balls out of his purse and went out and acquired Quinn Hughes when he had the chance to fix your fucking defense. People would be lighting up for that shit because people want to watch good players. They don't want to watch goddamned Kristen Vark and sunken Terrey beer wanted to seize.
44You would see that kind of results, even if you want to go as far as to try and compete and add from the outside. And they don't even want to do that. That would be new. And different last time the flyers did that was fucking goddamned Shay Weber in 2012. I said fucking high school in 2012 for fuck sake. I'm 30 now. God. Give me something new and different. And instead you've had three consecutive goddamned general managers roll out the exact same bullshit strategy time and time again. And the media goes out of the way to fucking justify it every time. Yeah. God. And it's got and speaking of the media stuff too. And like this has also been a problem. I mean, even dating back to the hextal days and people were kind of clamoring for what is the rebuild framework look like and how you try to do this. But the thing that we get from these folks is that well, it's too hard to get a McDavid or a McKinnon or a Matthews and the list goes on. So we shouldn't even put ourselves in a position to try. It's too difficult.
47Let the other teams get those players. And we're just going to focus on doing everything a different way that got to reinvent. I don't know what way it is. But like we're going to do stuff our way and all those other good players, the largest players, let the other teams have them. They're in the position to have we could never never be in a position to have that kind of play. We just need to let that go. Let them have those players. Like that is what is being spoken by this flyers media to people. Like that's the mantra is that we'll never be in a situation to get them. So we can't even try. Don't even think about doing something like that. Like it's like, who are these people? Like what sort of stupid don't live. I can't even talk. Like what stupid life are you living that you don't want to make a risk and engage in something like that? Like you can't have these players. Somebody's got to get the next Connor McDavid. Why can't it be you?
49Somebody's got to get the next Gavin McKenna here. Why can't it be you put yourself in a position to make that happen? Figure it out. Like it's just even a version to trying stuff like that. So aggravating.
