Francisco Lindor Returns to Field After Surgery

The 32-year-old made his spring training debut on Sunday, going one for three with a run scored and an 8-to-1 win over the Blue Jays. The game ended early due to rain, but Lindor moved well and stayed healthy through the end. It marked his first action since February 11th surgery on the Hamate bone in his left hand. Lindor fell close to normal during play, calling it a positive step. Manager Carlos Mendoza agreed, saying he saw no limits after watching recent workouts and backfield sessions. The injury caused hand in wrist soreness with a six-week recovery plan that put his status for the March 26th opener against the pirates in. Doubt. Now things look on track. Last season, the five-time All-Star logged 160 games and led baseball with 762 plate appearances. He hit 0.267 with 31 home runs, 86 runs batted in, and 31 stolen bases.
