France Probes Reborn Rape Site

0:00On April 29th, France just kicked off a major probe into the shady French language website called Coco, which helped Dominique Pellacot recruit. Strangers to rape his drug wife, Gazelle, over nearly a decade from 2011 to 2020. Pellacot got 20 years in prison last year for it, and the sites tied to even worse stuff, like child sexual abuse, rape, and murder. The platform got shut down back in June 2024, after cops caught wind, but it popped back up under a new name this week, still accessible. Online, since it's registered overseas, Paris prosecutors jumped on it fast, opening the investigation Tuesday. France's Children's Commissioner, Sarah L. Harry, called it a huge setback back in April, vowing to hunt these operators down without mercy. The original probe was already deep along, leading to charges against the site's founder Isaac Stidal in January 2025, for things like, child porn distribution and drug trafficking, he denies any tie to the reboot.

1:01Now, women's rights groups are pushing hard for a wider crackdown on similar dark web spots, like those so-called rape academies, where guys swap tips. On drugging partners, one group was even started by Pellacot's own daughter. Investigators promised no rest until these networks crumble, protecting folks from these organized nightmares for good.
