The Keddie Cabin Murders are often described as one of California’s most horrifying unsolved crimes — and for good reason. Four victims. Extreme violence. A crime scene that should have led straight to arrests. Instead, it led to decades of silence.

Then there’s Andrea Scherpf and Bernd Göricke. Killed later the same year. Officially “unrelated.” Investigated separately. Filed away.
