Former Gamekeeper Sentenced for Premeditated Murder

0:00On March 4th, a former head-game keeper in Scotland has been convicted of murdering his ex-colleague with a shotgun and sentenced to life in prison. With a minimum of 19 years, the trial wrapped up at the High Court in Glasgow on February 25th. Both men had worked together for years at the Adrada Neda State, where the killer served as head-game keeper from May 1984 until February 2018, and the victim was a groundsman from August 2000 until February 2023. The attack happened at Leuffy Lane near Piddily, stemming from long-held bad feelings between them. The victim died at the scene from severe injuries. The judge called it a premeditated killing of an unarmed man, with no element of chance involved. Now, court officials say an appeal against the conviction has been filed on the man's behalf, kicking off the next phase of the legal process.
