I mean, after all, it's only a 12.05, so there haven't been that many opportunities for other people to wish you a good afternoon. Wait a minute, let me just check something here. Yeah, just as I suspected. It's Friday. Yay. Oh, man, you can say that again. Yay. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. It's Friday. And I don't know why. I mean, ahead yesterday off, it wasn't that I was not working, but I was doing some pleasant, secretive work for one of our long time partners, ITC, and I have the distinct pleasure and honor of hosting what was kind of like a retirement party football game. It had four quarters. It was beautifully done.

1:05The Honolulu, the lion's Honolulu boom drum line was there. Rory was there. And a whole bunch of very thankful, very nice ITC people. And we were paying tribute to the one and only Linda Apsi, who is the CEO, but is retiring. So it was spectacular. And not only did we get to say goodbye to Linda Apsi, we got to say hello again to the new CEO coming in, Christa Tanner, who by the way was one of the anti-mesis women who lead. And so we met her first there at the, where were we when we did that? That was on the Amos. And or wait, no, it was the other one, the, you know, the, that was before my time. So no, it was just last year you were here. Oh, Joe Mure.

2:06Joe Mure. Yeah, that's it. Joe Mure, I get them all running together because the Anti-Amos and the Joe Mures owned by Joe Vicari and doing a great job. He's got a hundred restaurants now. It's astonishing how well he's done. But anyway, we met Christa Tanner there, I think for the first time. But it was a great event yesterday. And I thank them for inviting me to surprise Linda Apsi and her family was there. It was all beautiful. That's a real love affair. And it's a wonderful story for Michigan. And we were there. I was there from the beginning. I was there for the groundbreaking of their big headquarters. I was in the old headquarters when they first started the place with Joe. And then breaking ground and then the opening of this beautiful facility in Novi. And I want to thank the town hall producers, Kristen Schmidt and Jamie Rasmussen, Speaker, Prep and Support Kelly Fullford, my helper, the most direct. I mean, they all were helping me, but to Rebecca Miller doing a great job. And then even we even had

3:08a sideline reporter to stay in. Everybody was in Detroit Lions Garb. Right. It was fabulous. And I see you're wearing the logo today too. I have it on my I with this the same sweatshirt that Dan Campbell wears. Wait a minute. No, it's not. This is not a game worn jersey. Yeah, but it is the black sweatshirt with the blue lion on it. And my sideline reporter was Cynthia Stump. And everybody just did a really great job. And I thank all the people Sarah Atkinson, one of the people working on the technical side. It was just a wonderful event. And not every company loves their loves. They're outgoing CEO. The way everybody at ITC loved Linda. So it was a wonderful event. That's where I was. I couldn't tell you ahead of time because it was a surprise. Well, yeah, and I have to ask you was she surprised because I know that you you were very it was very important. Yes, it was very important for you for it to be a surprise. Like you said,

4:14I know you're not going to tell anyone, but don't even tell anyone, even if you think it won't get out. Well, it was my big fear was when I said, gee, Rocky's filling in for me on Thursday that you might say and who could blame you. Oh, that's right. You're doing the ITC thing or something. Yeah, I would just. That's why I just gave you. Yeah, because you didn't know. Right. It was a secret until I told you it was a secret. So anyway, it went well, she was totally surprised. It was a fabulous, fabulous event. So enough said. So we're going to talk about Christie Nome being fired, but I'm going to do that with Caitlin Bus in our first conversation. So I'm not I'm not skipping over it. It's obviously the big story or one of the big stories. The other big story that will affect us all immediately. Yeah, I hope I have this right. It's been tough for years to to not screw this up. We are springing forward. Yes. So we are Saturday night when we

5:16go to bed, we set our clocks ahead one hour. Yes. So that when we get up Sunday and the time change took place at like two in the morning, our clocks will be set. And the controversy continues. Every time I think we've got this solved or fixed, it isn't right. There was a bill past that it still hasn't been signed for whatever reason. It's crazy. And so a lot of people now have their own strong opinion about this. Let me just find one that I just got enough too long ago from my friend Tony Michaels. We all know Tony Michaels, the parade company. He says you call the Wizard of Oz, right Paul? He's the good for you. He's the Wizard of Oz and ooze. Good for you. I'm he this is from Tony. I hope you I can't he can't mind me reading this. I'm on a mission to have daylight savings year round. Or at the very least keep doing what we're doing. I'm not sure

6:19what that means other than I don't want to keep doing what we're doing. I want us to choose one or the other. And he clearly is a proponent for daylight savings as the one we adapt. Right. So he would either rather us stay on spring forward or go back. He doesn't he doesn't want to do fall back all year. He doesn't want to do standard time. Yes. Which is what doctors had said. But I have another story here says does daylight saving time really affect our sleep long term. Here's what the experts want you to know. I'll get into that later. But anyway, Tony goes on to say taking an hour from our summer days would be horrible for our tourism golf kids sports small city businesses small city businesses across the state tourism and crime would possibly increase. So he says I'm on a mission every single person I know wants to keep daylight savings. You know, you know, who also wants that is Dave Rieger. And for the very reason, I think it was Dave who said because for golfers, right. They want to have that. Anyway, every single person I know wants to keep daylight

7:23savings. It's dark in the morning, no matter what. That's true. Uh, we got to keep it. Hope you're great. My buddy Tony. All right. So, um, I would say what do you feel? So here's the thing. If we had to choose, I would rather stay on I would rather stay on one or the other. I don't care which one. But if if if we have to keep, you know, springing forward or falling back, why don't we do the time change on Friday? So we have Saturday and Sunday to recover instead of just Sunday. The Super Bowl. Why the heck they have the Super Bowl on Sunday? Right. What is it with these people? Don't they live normal lives like the rest of us? Right. So put us in charge. We'll put the Super Bowl on Saturday and the time change on Friday and all the world's problems will be solved. And we'll get rid of by it with a federal mandate. We'll get rid of all property tax. Okay. That too. We'll throw that in as well. Why if we're doing something? Let's do it all sweet. But so in where do you stand or sit, Daniel Mason on this issue, this very pressing issue of

8:27daylight savings time, the switch or not? I don't know that I really care. That's where I sit. Does it bother you that we go through this? No, change every year doesn't bother me. I just want more light in the day. That's all I ask for. So whatever if we can keep that, that's all I want. We're one of those places where they go and it's like light for like months. Alaska. Greenland, Iceland. No, Daniel had it Alaska. Alaska. Alaska. I've been there. And you've been there when it's been light for like days and days and days? Not for days and days and days, but the light is different. Yes. And it was colder here than it was in Alaska. There's winter. Yeah. Well, even when I was there, which was two years ago, it was colder here. But when I was there, it was the opposite. It was when it was darker for longer. So the sun came up at like 9.30 in the morning and then it went down at like 4.30 in the afternoon.

9:30Yes. It was so it's 9.30 AM to 4.30. That's all they had. That can't go over well. I mean, that doesn't have. It does with all the other stuff. Doesn't it psychologically affect this? It does in most businesses in that area. Most businesses shut down for an hour so people can go out and get their light. Oh, yeah. Interesting. Yeah, I thought that was cool. I couldn't even do that today. I like to go out and get my face in the sun. Was a Benjamin Franklin. Somebody talked about a sun bath. I don't take all my clothes off because the neighbors have asked me not to. But I do step out there and let the sun shine on my face, but I can't do that the last several days. I still have fog. They're still looking at mist and fog. What the heck is going on? Like I said, this past month has looked like a Stephen King movie. That's a well put. It has looked like a Stephen King movie. All right. Well, we're underway. We got a lot to talk about. We heard our weather guy say, and there you are with an hour less sleep because they already they're setting the stage for us to feel extra tired. Does daylight saving time really affect our sleep long term? Here's what experts want you to know. I'll get to that from a thing called sleep populace. And there's a there's a there's a web page for everything my friends. And this one it's talking about a certified sleep science coach. We'll look at that later. As somebody once said we have bigger fish to fry. And the person who's on the burner is Christy Nome. And we thought

11:34we would talk to Caitlin bus deputy editorial page editor for the Detroit news about to Christy Nome being ousted fired. However, you want to call it as DHS secretary. Caitlin, it's always a pleasure. Hey, good to be with you. Yeah. I am now I'm now going to ask you a question that I hope you understand why I'm asking this question. It hasn't been brought up very much these days. But at one time it was brought up from time to time. You are an attractive woman. You're a very attractive woman. Thank you. Do you think that that has hindered you now we already know that attractive people do well in overall tests. You know, people like to see attractive people. But we've also seen over the years sometimes attractive people being pushed as dumb blondes or you know, whatever. Did any of that come in with Christy Nome? Do you think or did she just rightfully earn this problem?

12:39Well, I think she rightfully earned it. And her, you know, caricature that she created out of the role was really a symptom of her mismanagement altogether. So, you know, I was I'm happy to see this development. I have not been a fan of hers for the duration of this administration. I thought she's, you know, if people have pointed out she's taken an issue that everyone agreed on and tainted by 20 points, you know, in support in public polling. I mean, she just went too far. And so, I wasn't surprised to see Trump get rid of her. He doesn't like that kind of chaos or, you know, bad objects on his watch, even though, you know, obviously all the things about Trump notwithstanding. So, I think she created her own bed. And she's on to a different job now. Hopefully, you know, that agency can stay on mission, but not be as much of a personality. Funnily you use the expression she created her own bed. That's a whole other story.

13:44And I honestly wondered when that was going to catch up with them. I mean, so it's been a known secret out there? Oh, yes, for years. And I mean, certainly before the election. So, you know, I guess not everyone knew. I actually believe that Trump may have not known. But certainly once all these things came together and her advertising budget and everything, you know, he had to let her go. Well, can you imagine you're watching this or later being told about it? And you go, wait a minute, I never approved a $220 million ad budget featuring her and all these glamour shots on horses and with hats and all the rest of it. That was just crazy. But it leads me then to this question because she has shown me no ability to make decisions wisely. For example, was she a good governor? I can't even believe I forgot she was a governor. Was she a good governor? It's interesting. I wouldn't normally know this, but I did see. I guess her claim to

14:48say is that she flipped, you know, like 17 seats maybe in the South Dakota Senate while she was governor. So she was effective as governor. I don't know if she was good or not. And that's kind of how she got on the national scene. And I remember her profile rising, you know, in the early Trump years and all of that. And so to see it kind of go, you know, down this way, yes, she seemed to have lost all of her common sense. Her ability to understand this, I screamed at the, well, I screamed at the television, but I also screamed about it on the air. When people asked her about the fatal incidents involving federal immigration agents, her only answer should have been. This is a tragic situation that is under investigation. And I will have no comment on it until the investigation is done. But she came out with guns blazing, calling them, you know, these terrorists and all this other stuff. So my question was, who was giving her such bad advice?

15:54And why was she following it? Well, I think she had a very insular circle of Cory Lewandowski and then political operatives who had helped her, you know, in her state. So I think she had a pretty small echo chamber one. And, you know, I don't know that she ideologically was that different from where Trump is, but she just mismanaged. And, you know, it's almost like out of the apprentice. I mean, Trump, you know, just doesn't have tolerance for that. Even if you disagree with how he manages. Well, I must say that was a bad time in our history. And mistakes were clearly made. But the mistakes also included Christie Nome's reaction, the vice president's reaction, and even the president's reaction when all three of them should have said, obviously it's a tragedy when American citizens are shot and killed by our American police. We have no comment until we get to the bottom of the

16:59investigation that is clearly ongoing. None of them should have said anything. She's the one paying the price right now. But I think she's paying the price for what appeared to be a variety of mistakes, whether it's her alleged romantic relationship with her top advisor, a 220 million dollar ad campaign, the conflicting accounts about the fatal incidents involving the federal immigration agents and everything else. It was time for her to go. And yet he couldn't just fire her. He he has appointed her to a new position that he had to create apparently. Yeah. Yeah, that is and I don't know why he couldn't just fire her. You know, like I said, I think he may you know, have felt somewhat complicit in this getting to this point. I'm not sure, but you know, she's been right out there and announced her new role as if it was a good thing.

17:59Well, they showed her allegedly that she had just gotten the phone call being relieved of her duties by the president and she walked out on stage and did some kind of a magnificent presentation as if like nothing happened. I didn't know if you saw that. I saw it. I went, wow, she's handling this a lot better than I would have handled it. No, there's something off about her just in general during hard times. She doesn't seem to be able to absorb, you know, the seriousness of things that are going on. So I don't know. I've never met her. I probably won't, but you know, I'm happy to see what we'll see if Mark Wayne gets in there and, you know, what he can do for that role. So do you feel at all ever that being an attractive woman was sometimes held against you or put you in a position where you had to really, really prove yourself differently? I don't know about professionally. I have to say I think it's pretty fair. I think, you know,

19:03interpersonally, it can certainly be a factor, but it's not, you know, I think I've been okay. I try to put that kind of lower on the list of how I interact with people and I think people generally do that with me too, but certainly there are so good. But I don't have blonde hair, so I've had it. You are so good at what you do that it only takes a moment for people to understand you are so, yeah, so very good at what you do. So that's that. That's all. I'm a fan. I have been since I first met you and then I learned you went to Hillsdale and then how can I not love you being a fine Hillsdale college graduate? 20:12going to have a new governor elected and we the race just seems to get bigger and bigger. And it will get along the way messier and messier. So it's important to pay attention to all people running and make your decision. Perry Johnson might have been unknown a few years ago, but it became very well known running for president, running for a now governor and being a very successful businessman and now Republican gubernatorial candidate. Perry Johnson took place, took part in a debate last night with a number of other Republican candidates, talked about his plans. And if you might have missed that as I did that debate, we're going to get some information directly from Perry Johnson right now. Perry, good to have you back. Well, delighted to be back, Paul. How have you been? I've been good. I was I was a surprise to see you say I'm jumping in

21:17because you're a businessman. You've been a very very successful businessman and I get the impression you're not the kind of guy who will stand around and watch things go not the way you think they should go. So how do you think they should go? What would you do differently if you became the governor of the great state of Michigan? Well, I laid out that message last night in that debate. I'm it's unfortunate that it wasn't televised. Yeah, most people, most people didn't see it, so I would not. No, I wouldn't just keep referring back to that. I would tell us right now what what that what you want to lay out. Yes, because it resonated in 46. We got on the straw poll. We when I think we got 46% we went by 46% of the vote. So they liked the message. The message is quite simple. We have a situation where we have a government that loves to spend your money and they've been wasting money for a long time. We don't know whether the wasting of money

22:23comes just from one area or another area. We don't know whether it's just that they throw the money away because it's ridiculous projects or whether it's fraud, but whatever some of the stuff is really nuts when understand that when Gretchen Whitmer took office our budget was at 49 billion and now it's approaching 87 billion. Now that is a record increase of any state and I have one simple theme and that is I am going to become more efficient. So because we are going to eliminate the state income tax that income tax is an onerous thing for Michigan and if we eliminate the income tax your typical family will end up with $4,747 more in their pocket every year. Now I have spent my entire life bringing quality and efficiency to companies. That's all I do. You know when I started it started in the auto industry at a time when they were struggling and I thought I knew how to

23:25solve the problem and I introduced the statistical process control. Eventually that took off like hotcakes and then I wrote a book on ISO 9000, the quality standard. Now very Johnson registrars and Perry Johnson laboratory accreditation have helped over 60,000 companies here and we operate in 67 countries. I want to bring that same quality and efficiency to our state and by doing that we will be able to eliminate this income tax and prove the quality of our schools and prove the quality of our life and we will be able to reform the property tax which is so onerous for some of the elderly particularly our senior citizens who have paid off their homes still have to pay property tax. So we are throwing away money that we shouldn't be throwing away and because I have a skill set that has been bringing quality and efficiency to companies that I'm the perfect guy to bring that quality and efficiency to our state and I have three wonderful kids. I want them to stay here.

24:31I don't want them moving. We have to recognize that in Michigan we have been losing population over the period of the last 30 years but we can change all that. We have to give people a reason to stay here. Just in Metro Detroit there are 550,000 students and we're going to lose 40% of them within the first five years but if we create a better environment for people to stay suddenly things change. Every single state without exception that is eliminated to income tax ignited that state. Tennessee for example had the same problems we had but look at what happened when they eliminated the income tax. It suddenly started booming. They had a declining population for 20 years and now it's sorting. Where did Ford put the plant? Ford put their new plant not here but over their in Tennessee. There was a time when Michigan was a bastion of opportunity. People flocked from all over the world to this very state. In fact for the first time in history you could have a situation

25:37where a middle class person could have a great life. They could, for five dollars a day, support their family, have a car, have a home, send their kids to college and people flocked here. We can do it again. We just have to make it a more attractive environment. To do that we eliminate the income tax. We get people a reason to stay. We are in a position where when we do things that help business we help everyone here because as you have more people coming here you have more opportunities here. As you have more people coming here we get more revenue. The state blossoms. I say we make this change and let's be realistic. If you don't have a background in bringing quality and efficiency it's pretty hard for you to do it. If I had my mother that needed heart surgery I wouldn't go ask an attorney. If I had a problem with my teeth I'm not going to go ask an accountant to fix my teeth. The bottom line is if you want somebody to bring quality and

26:42efficiency to our state you and you want to be able to eliminate the income tax while ameliorating the quality of all of our services you need somebody like me. Harry Johnson, a businessman, Republican, gubernatorial candidate. Short answers for all these questions now. Can we do away with the state income tax and the property tax? Is that possible? Well first of all it would make it very clear. Property tax, you eliminate property tax, you need an amendment. It's a constitutional amendment. When people start talking about this it's a multi-year job. Then you can't really eliminate all of the property taxes overnight. All right then let me quickly ask you said clearly about cutting the income tax. Cutting the states 4.25% income tax and then you believe that because you're auditing every dime that's being spent by the state we won't have to worry about making

27:43up the billions of dollars in lost revenue from a cut income tax. Well you it's not just auditing. I wrote a book two cents to save America. I talked about what we needed to do in order to be able to eliminate all of this frivolous spending and to change the way we're thinking because right now in government they try to spend every penny they have in their budget. In fact the last 90 days they go out of their way to see how they can spend that money so they can get more money the next year. Now if we ran our family that way in our budget think about it. Part of it if he told your wife oh let's make sure we're broke every year. I mean heck I'd be having to go in for therapy on a regular basis but that's how our government really runs. So you have to change that change the mindset and you have to literally become more efficient in every way. Now understand that our budget has gone up exponentially. We had a 49 billion dollar

28:43budget when she took office. Now it is up to 87 billion. If it had gone up at the rate of inflation you'd only have increased about 25 billion. So we'd be sitting there looking at a situation dramatically different than we have now because our budget would already be 20 billion dollars less than it is. But and the income tax that's collected is about 13. So we would not only be able to eliminate the income tax that we have right now if we had just used discretion we would have also been able to make major inroads in the property tax. So the bottom line is it's a matter of efficiency and it's a matter of paying attention what goes on. Do you realize that we spent 11 billion dollars in one year by overpaying the unemployment and Medicaid one year alone? What about increasing the speed of the Amtrak train? We tried to increase the speed of the Amtrak train by 10 miles an hour and we spent a billion dollars to try to do it and we didn't even succeed. What about education? In education we threw a billion dollars at it right a billion

29:45dollars a year to try to improve the reading. Yet it went down. We we were 28th in the country. Now we're 44th in the country. 30:47affect our sleep long term? Here's what experts want us to know because the reason we're talking about this when we go to bed Saturday night we are supposed to set our clocks ahead an hour spring forward. That means you lose an hour of sleep. When the clock spring ahead or fall back tired Americans let out a collective groan. Everyone knows they'll be exhausted simply from the change in routine but researchers in Australia what do they know they're down under they're upside down anyway researchers in Australia have challenged the belief that daylight savings time has a long term effect on our health. What do you think Mike? I don't think it has a long term effect. I think it has a temporary effect like I can say that there are more accidents like in the first couple of days of the new week. Yeah I mean I can buy that I can buy that there's a slight uptick in a heart attack but I feel like after two or three weeks we adjust. I would think that we would. Scientists at flinders or flinders University have determined through an extended comprehensive study that our health isn't

31:48truly at long-term risk. Sleep expert emeritus professor Leon Lack and his research associate Mr. Reese Kemp from FH MRI sleep health explored the late stage effects of daylight savings time on numerous markers of sleep timing. A new news release about the study said they found no significant evidence that DST showed a long-term loss in sleep or impaired sleep health and daytime functioning. Yeah yeah like I said I obviously if you get into a car accident or you have a heart attack that's that's going to have an effect on your long-term health but I I feel like the risks are much more in the immediate than the long-term because yeah you feel you feel like you're dragging maybe the week after and then you know you get to catch up on your sleep next weekend and it's fine. This challenges other research suggesting daylight saving time is harmful to our sleep health and therefore our overall health of course the researchers acknowledge that just

32:50because they didn't find long-term effects it doesn't mean that DST is easy for people. Everyone seems to agree the daylight savings time has some immediate and short-term effects that feel a lot like a minor jet lag causing questions about if we should remain doing this. I I just don't like the time change. I just I don't think we should do it. Yeah it's a really big argument comes up well what do we go with? Standard time or daylight saving time? I'm getting more people telling me regardless of what the doctor said about standard time being more tied into our circadian rhythm that more people like the extra light and the daylight savings time. Yeah I think so too. And you know there's certain people say that okay if you stay on spring forward all year that it's too dark for the kids at the bus stop in the morning and then if you fall back then the farmers you know don't have as much time to plant their crops but I feel like it's kind of an out date it's kind of an outdated practice as well. It was and it was initially for the farmers and for

33:54fuel usage and a lot of different things that that don't come into play now. Here's what they say to prepare for daylight savings time. These tips to ensure you offset the DST effects as much as possible. Aim for a lighter week so this coming week should be lighter clear your calendar of extra obligations to get a bit more rest in the days following DST. Get exercise in sunlight like a 30-minute walk outside to get a bit more energy and sleep better. Remember a 10-minute walk immediately after finishing dinner is going to change your life. I say it to as I say not as I do but it is I guarantee it. Grappie Harry walked right after dinner just because he liked doing that he lived to be 140 years ago so they say 30-minute walk outside I say if you can do 10 minutes right after eating it's a good thing and getting outside getting sun on your face all of that and then it says practice excellently hygiene such as turning off devices a few hours before bed I am guilty of

34:55not doing that yeah it's impossible for me but engage in calming activities and I'm not a big fan of televisions in the bedroom but I'm a big fan of the woman I sleep with and she uses the television to unwind can you imagine is anyone is this just between us it's just us him unwinds and falls asleep watching shark tank she has like a bundle of old shark tanks on the television and that's what she watches so she falls asleep after a few minutes of shark tank and I'm like riveted by the next person coming in trying to sell the sharks on their business you're looking up all these products online trying to buy stock in that which I never do but anyway so people different strokes for different folks we all make concessions but I could and I don't I could

47:40daylight savings time he says keep it stay on daylight time and then he heard just talking about going to bed and someone very near and dear to me who watches shark tank he says when I go to bed I turn on a youtube video it stops my mind from churning on everything I need to do and I'm asleep in 30 seconds wait so is your television on a timer does it turn itself off or do you leave it on all night I that would drive me kind of crazy Keith but I appreciate you uh you weighing in on that now let's away in on another topic a federal trade judge has ordered the u.s. government to begin paying out what could amount to be billions of dollars in tariff refunds with interest to American importers now w.j. r's Marie Osborne director of community affairs and news gives us the very latest Marie so Paul you remember the justice is ruled that president

48:41trump exceeded his authority when he imposed these duties under the international emergency economic powers act so uh the uh rich judge Richard eaten or says already that the cbp already has the tools to process these refunds but something the agency routinely does when importers over pay so this is something they're used to and that the refunds have to as you said include interest but customs officials don't agree with this they've argued in court that uh the scope is unprecedented involving more than 70 million entries and possibly requiring months of manual review in other words hands on eyeballs to each page on this more than 300,000 importers paid the now illicit illegal tariffs most of them small businesses many have told reporters they fear that a complicated claim process could make these refunds hard to access

49:44the case triggered this week's order and it was filed by the atmas filtration which said it paid about 11 million dollars in unlawful tariffs it's just one of roughly 2,000 lawsuits that are seeking repayment here Paul and that's that's 2,000 lawsuits out of more than 300,000 importers who paid the tariffs and the day this happened I said on the air this scares the heck out of me if the government meaning us that's our money in the end it comes out of our pot of money in our taxes the interest especially but over and above what they collected how are we going to pay all these people back without bankrupting our government which is already in trouble such a good question and that is you know that's not a question that's addressed here the judge simply looked at what has to be done to make this right to make this whole to make these small businesses whole

50:45and they he said they've got to be paid back with interest well interestingly enough the Supreme Court said that we the president could not do these tariffs but notably they left out of the whole discussion well what about the tariffs that have been collected what about the billions of dollars what 130 billion dollars in what now is being called illegal tariff payments what about that money they didn't say the president is not allowed to charge these tariffs and must give back all the money that he already collected they didn't say that they could have said that but as far as I know they didn't say that Marie no but and I'm not sure how this exactly works but the judge again he's of the US Court of International Trade and Customs and Border Protection or rather he's the US Court of International Trade and he said that Customs and Border Protection has to start doing this so I don't know if that's like the second part of

51:50this ruling is that the judge has jurisdiction over this I'm not sure how that works who knows we do know it'll be fought and that means more of our money will be spent with lawyers getting through this you know the the the judge or somebody told the court customs knows how to do this and he said they do it every day they liquidate entries and make refunds but not 180 billion dollars right yes exactly yeah yeah the judge did say that Customs and Border Protection they already have the tools to to process these refunds but you are correct at this scope that's the question yeah where do you stand if unless you have something else you want to say on this summary no go ahead where do you stand on the time change we have to spring forward when we go to bed Saturday because at two o'clock in the morning Sunday our clocks will automatically

1:08:42talk to me about your parents bill of rights that's intriguing well um so it was very important me starting this campaign that people understand that I'm listening to them I I believe very strongly that you have to listen and learn before you lead and everywhere I went in the corner in our corner of the state every corner on our mission first people always do it people were telling me that they feel like their rights are threatened specifically they're right their children I believe that our lord endowed us to sit in the middle of the rest that among them the life living in suit of happiness the first relationship that he made was one between him and man the second between a man and woman and the third between parents and children and that seems like now under attack more than ever and the parents bill of rights is based on three tenants really very simple very common sense one kids cannot consent Paul it cannot be approached for it for they can fit like they're an adult they're minor children and we must protect their innocent two

1:09:46parents have a right to know they have a 14th amendment constitutional right to know but also it's common sense that you shouldn't get between a parent and their child especially the government and third if an adult can't talk about sex with other adults at work without consent why is it that adults can talk to your child at school without consent excellent we've all types of things that make sense to most people so they're right to direct your child education the right to control their health care decisions the right to demand transparency and privacy the right to preserve family integrity and having enforceable measures with real consequences for the perpetrators is what the parental role of rights is all about and where does the state government have a role in this well I think that only in extreme case only in extreme cases should the state government interfere and these are after the

1:10:50use our system that we have because of course this is no excuse for child abuse right but the state does have a role to protect the children's innocence but 99.99% of the time protecting children's innocence is the role of the parent and these are things that are currently happening right now in Rochester Hills there's a lawsuit because the school district out here is trying to withhold information about curriculum from parents and then out in Rockburg there's a lawsuit parents are stealing the Rockburg school district because their school districts socially transitioned that their child without their knowledge or consent this is this is crazy talk and all I'm talking about is common sense matters things that mean when I was growing up you didn't even have to talk about because it was just assumed that that we protect parental rights and innocence of children but now sadly we have to articulate these things and so I want parents to know that I have their six I want parents to know that I will be their partner in allowing them the
