A viral video shows police and a helicopter team saving a couple and their German Shepherd dog from the roof of their stranded four-wheel drive. Parents turn worse than forecasters expected, with rivers swelling fast after record rains. Officials warn of another 200mm possible over the weekend, triggering major flood alerts for several rivers in the northern. Territory in Queensland, all of western northern Territory stays under watch from Darwin to Uluru. More than 1,000 people got evacuated from spots like Bunderburg, Catherine, and remote top-end communities, homes, businesses, and cattle stations sat underwater, forcing folks onto rooftops.
