Five-Vehicle Crash on US 41 Kills One, Pickup Driver Flees

The Florida Highway Patrol says it started when a pickup truck driver failed to stop for a red light. That truck smashed into a Jeep Cherokee near Norville, Bryan Highway, sparking a chain reaction that hit three more vehicles. A 74-year-old woman from Crystal River in the Jeep died at the scene. Several other people involved picked up injuries, though their conditions remain unclear. The pickup driver bolted on foot right after and is still at large. Troopers urge anyone with tips to dial star FHP, that star 347.
