Fire Engulfs Derelict Barn in Heald Green

0:00On April 25th, firefighters rushed to a derelict barn on style road in healed green tonight after flames broke out around 7.45pm on. Saturday, April 25th, the blaze hit the first floor of this brick building with a wooden roof sending thick smoke into the sky. Crews from Cheetle, Whithington, and sail stations rolled in fast, backed by the turntable ladder from White Hill. They're using two hose reels to keep the fire from jumping to nearby spots. Bystanders gathered to watch as the crews battled the flames with police vehicles showing up to secure the area. No where yet on what sparked it, or if anyone's hurt. Officials from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they're still on scene, working hard to knock it down completely.
