Fionn Brannigan: Remembering a Loving Son

0:00On April 8th, a 20-year-old from the Crossgar area named Fion Brandigan died in the car crash near Dervak on Easter Sunday. His funeral mass happened Wednesday at Mary Mother of the Church in St. Field, where folks remembered him as happy, loving, and generous with his time. The priest called Fion a good, dedicated son, who dreamed big about becoming an electrician. He loved cars, headed to England at 17 to train for the trade, and worked his tail off at a local kebab shop, even fixing the gear there. Instead of just flipping food, his mom Leanne shared through the priest that she cherished their 20 wonderful years together. Calling him the perfect boy, Fion skipped some school exams back in the day, figuring he'd be the top spark without them, and he always pitched in at home, cleaning up after dinner every night. Fion lived with epilepsy, so the family is pushing donations to underfunded groups like epilepsy action Northern Ireland. He had that easy-going vibe that made him super-popular, surrounded by the nicest crew of lifelong friends who showed up to comfort everyone.
