Go check out our Instagram, but beyond the truck, we've got some great gear getting made for the truck show. Hard to believe, but we're only about nine days away. Next Saturday, 2 p.m. we'll be down there, can't wait for the main stage just to see you. We're coming for you. We love you. We appreciate you. Don't forget to reach out to us on our website at thriveofyonthetruck.com. You can sign up there for our daily messaging, and we'd love to have you. That's growing into quite the group we have there, well into the hundreds of people now, into that. Thank you. Today's message is going to fall right into our, you know, when we talk about voting
03for our actions, protecting our culture and the beliefs that build that blueprint for our lives. You know, we're going to be talking down there about reprogramming our ECM, you know, the ECM on our trucks, the electronic control module that controls how that truck behaves, pulls the hills. It's your motion control module. Those emotions, you know, we, the decades of the data points that we've been putting in. And we have no room for new data and we want to download, delete that old data. Make room for new data. We've got to get rid of the old to update the new, don't we? Yeah. Fight for the habit. Habits don't form by accident, do they? No. They form intentionally, your intentions. The old habits will fight back. Don't get me wrong. I know they will. They're there. They're part of you. They're your identity. They're comfort. It's going to whisper it in your ear. Stay where you're at. It's easy here. We live like this long enough.
05What's wrong with the way we're living? I'll maintain what's wrong with it. It's a negative. Excuses will sound logical because we're used to making them, aren't they? Yeah. This is where the disciplines separate the desire. The desire to become the best version of you. Your disciplines, your commitments, the consistency that I always talk about that's really going to matter the most, isn't it? Yeah. Listen to what I'm telling you. Excuses, your comfort zone where nothing happens. Things will just want to stay where they're at. It's natural. I'm comfortable. I've learned to be stagnant. You must fight for the habit, choices, before it becomes automatic. You have to fight for that habit. You have to fight to become the best version of you because you know why? The old version is always fighting for you to stay there. Yeah. The discipline today prevents your regret tomorrow.
06Your discipline today will regret, will prevent your regret tomorrow. You know, I'll often say regret. The pain we have today will never outweigh the pain of regret the rest of your life. So I want you to remember that. You have to fight for your new habits. The old habits will fight back. They're going to fight back hard. They will fight back hard, trust me. Discipline today prevents regret tomorrow. You're not just changing your behavior. You're changing, you're shaping the way you live. You're changing, shaping your new life. I want you to remember that. Becoming the best version of you is not going to be easy. What's been easy is all these habits we put in our mind over these decades. Now we live in this new world of phones and data and Instagrams and Facebooks and comparing ourselves to other people.
07It's tough. As we get older, we don't manage this data right. Our computers are crash. Our minds are crash, our bodies are crash, and I want to keep you from crashing. So these are the boundaries in your guardrails of life, your habits. Form good habits. You have a good life. Form great habits and you have a great life. If your habits are full of gratitude, you have a grateful life. Sounds easy, doesn't it? But get ready. This is where the work starts. Because where the hard road begins, the new habits. So I want you to take today and I want you to write down three things you're going to stop doing. To make a room for three things, you're going to start doing to become the best version of you to start forming new habits so you don't regret putting off another day. Because tomorrow is where your dreams go to die. Start today. Congratulations on the new version of you.
07I can't wait to see you in about a week or so. Love and appreciate every single one of you. Short and sweet today. But guess what? You got work to get down. Let's go. Love you. Be great.
