3:16a lot going on. The word continues. Stock market is down right now 650 points. The Dow oil is up like crazy. I'll be talking about that coming up 720. Also quick reminder a couple of things that every Friday, it's ask handle anything and that's the point is to embarrass me and boy did that happen on Friday. And so here's what ask handle anything is about. You ask the questions and the whole premise, of course, is to embarrass me and it's just great fun. But in Southern California, the war is affecting us the most I would argue. First of all, we have 157,000 active duty military personnel in military communities across the state, more so in Southern California, Camp Pendleton, the largest marine base is in Southern California. The Pacific fleet for the most part in many ways is in San Pedro. The, I think it's the Abraham Lincoln is based out of San Pedro, the aircraft carrier. And the biggest Iranian community in the United States is Los Angeles. Matter of fact, the biggest Iranian community outside of Iran, anywhere in the world is Los Angeles. And the fear that I have and we saw this before

5:24during the original attacks Iran had in 1979 when they took over the, when the, the Moolas, the current government, the regime took over Iran with the Ayatollah Humane, then the Iranians in this country got a lot of grief in the various wars that happened. After, remember, the, the Iranians that we have here left, they escaped from that regime, many of them in 1979. And to then attack them and they were harassed and they, I mean, they couldn't even say they're Iranian. They had to say they were Persian. Hopefully, the Americans wouldn't know the difference. And the good news is that for the most part, we are such idiots that we don't know the difference. Oh, you're Persian. Oh, at least you're not Iranian thank goodness because of the anti-Iranian feeling. And I hope, boy, I sure hope that doesn't happen because of all the people that are against the regime that are enemies of the

6:29regime who think the worst of the regime and who would escape with their lives are Iranians. So I hope we don't hear a lot of anti-Iranian sentiment. We have not yet, but then this thing is only a week and a half old. And so it's, it's going to be very rough for us here in Southern California. Also, the attacks on the oil facilities and the shutting down of the straight or hormones affects us more so than any other state and why is that? Because already gasoline is the most expensive state in the Union by far. Have you seen, and when Amy reports that the national average for gasoline has gone up from what $3.45 to $3.75 a gallon, but we start laughing. We pray for it to only be $3.75 a gallon. Amy, do we have any figures of what it currently is in California? I know I'm just throwing this out at you. Yes, we do. In LA, it's 525 a gallon in

7:35LA County. In California, overall, it's 520 a gallon. And the national average is 348. I get what does that mean? That means that look at the amount of money that we pay. And it's all taxes. Of course, and also the different blends that we have in the fact that we don't have any refineries because they don't build them for a whole bunch of reasons reasons. But the bottom line is as this thing continues, Southern California, California, and Southern California is going to be hit the worse. And so be prepared. We're in for quite a ride to say the least. All right, coming up oil prices, they're what, over $100 a barrel. I mean, that changes a minute to minute because it's a commodity. It's a world commodity, much like pork bellies. Matter of fact, let's do this. Whenever we report, Amy, when you report on oil prices, the price of oil, which is the same all over the world, because it's old and dollars, please connect that

8:37with pork bellies, also a commodity. It's the second week of the war, which of course is disrupting everything all over the world. There is a new supreme leader, no surprise that was named in Iran. And he is following the footsteps of his father, the old supreme leader, who is completely dead. And so there is a new one, basically the out of the same cloth, cut from the same cloth, Mochitaba, home and A. And at first, we, many people thought that would be less of a hard liner, more of a quote moderate, although moderate in that part of the world in Iran is very different than a moderate dead than what we define as moderate. But nope, nope, they're going balls to the wall is what they're doing. Now, of course, because the straight or four moves has been closed down, Iran has done that. Straight from our moves, which is on one side is Iranian,

9:42on the other side, I think is Oman, it's 20 miles wide, 24 miles wide, which goes from into the Arabian sea from the Gulf. And this is where 20% of the world's oil goes through, because you have all of the midi states that produce oil are around that part. And then the shipping happens through the Gulf, relatively over through the straight, relatively easy to just shut it down. And that's exactly what has happened. The Iranians have shut it down while this is going on. So that plus the oil shortage, which it will be happening, well, it's already you've got tankers all over the world that are just stopped right now. Just they're going no place. And so oil prices went above $110 a barrel has, they're now at about $100 a barrel. And when

10:43you talk about oil, it's a world commodity, it is sold and bought in dollars. And so the price at $100 a barrel is, it's the first time in almost four years that it is more than that. Oil is now, according to New York Times, about 50% more expensive than the before the attack on February 28th. So it's gained about 50%. Amy reported it was about 30% more. But in any case, it is a whole lot. Asia stocks fell 6% in South Korea. A 6% drop in the stock market is astronomical. I mean, think of this. Were it 40,000? What would a 6% drop be? 2400 points in one day. I mean, that's pretty catastrophic. Japan 5% and so President Trump said in a post on true

11:46social. Now he has gone from, we're going to lower prices. That's a guarantee to all of a sudden whoops prices have gone up. And he said the higher oil prices are short term. And they were a small price to pay for USA world safety and peace. There's an argument there. Because at some point, at some point, Iran had to be shut down. I know those people will let say it's not well. Trump said, we don't want to get into foreign wars. There are plenty of people to say where there was no imminent danger to us. Well, the bottom line is when do you wait? This is where I did a little bit of controversy. When do you wait for Iran? Do you wait until they have their nuclear weapon? Because you know they've been working on it. Do you wait until they manufacture several thousand more ballistic missiles or missiles, short term, medium range, short range, medium range, long range ballistic missiles, which you can't, that virtually impossible to defend against

12:47as they're moving ahead. I mean, and you have a government, the religious regime that has held bent on destroying us. That's to America, that's to America, virtually every rally. So what point do you say you've got to happen? And up to this point, there's been no president that's willing to do it. And so we run who there are a bunch of liars anyway. We promise to do this, we promise to do that to do that and it doesn't happen. So I believe that it had to happen. And I believe that it was the president who was the only president had the balls to make it happen. Now, there was an issue of did he have the right to do it without consulting with Congress because Congress is the only entity, according to the Constitution, only Congress can declare a war. And then there's been playing around. Well, there is no war because there's no war has been declared.

13:47And therefore the president is ordering all these troops and the attacks in a not war war. Even though we may call it a war, it's not a war because the Constitution says it's only a war when Congress declares it's a war. As convoluted and stupid as that sound, that's exactly the way it goes. And it's not just Congress, the Republicans all lining up and saying, oh, yeah, the president has the right to do this. This has been going on forever. Bill Clinton and Lyndon Johnson and George Bush, George W and George HW Bush just made these decisions to attack without Congress. Now, after the fact, Congress went ahead and allowed. And this last argument with Congress is not whether or not the president should or should not, is should there be a war powers act passed into law, which means the president within 30 days has to go to Congress and ask for a resolution. Of course, that was shut down because the Republicans control the Senate as well as

14:53the House. And Mike Johnson, who jumps up and down and does anything that the president asked, we don't need it. We just don't need it. It is just not necessary. Right. The bottom line is what's going to happen? Well, oil is going to go up. The the price here in California is crazy. As I said earlier, Amy and it was jumping in. National average is what 347, a gallon now for gasoline. Can you imagine if it was only 347 for us, it's 520 for us and it's going up Kono, you're going to go nuts with the driving that you do. You're going to go absolutely nuts. We should actually we should start to go fund me campaign, just to pay for gas for you. I can get just to help you out with gasoline. I mean, it is pretty crazy out there. So be prepared for some rough times. And one thing you're not going to hear, the administration is talking about prices have come down. I don't think you're going to hear that much of that. You're going to hear

15:57that prices have gone up, but it's only a blip. It's only for a short period of time. Right now, if the election were held, if the midterms were now, how much do you think the Republicans would be slaughtered by electively speaking? I think the Democrats would clean their clocks right now. And we'll see what happens because we're going to be talking a lot about midterms coming up. Okay, I wanted to share with you. Well, first of all, the Olympics is over as you know, the Paralympics is going on right now. And I was watching opening ceremonies and some of the events with Lindsay, my wife. And it's for her, it's particularly poignant and important because she is effectively a Paralympic. She is handicapped in a couple of ways. Not only married to me, big handicap, but also she has something called CRPS, which is a pain syndrome. And she lives in

17:03pain 24, seven. And it's a pretty horrible condition to have. And so they're part of the time, she's in a wheelchair, one of the pain is extensive. Most of the time she's not. And long distances are tough for her. So you'll never see in her wheelchair, but she does. And so for her, Paralympics are particularly important. Oh, by the way, she plugged, she has a podcast that talks about pain and trauma. And season four is opening up or it's being released. And it's the pain game podcasts for those people that are in pain or exists. It's have trauma in their lives that go to the pain game podcasts. And by the way, if you have a podcast, you would like to pitch, it's not going to happen here because you're not married to me. Okay. So let me tell you how depressing it was last night as I was watching with her. And she was almost crying in a couple of different ways. We watched the opening ceremonies, which are really impressive. And it was in Verona, the

18:06the arena in Verona, a couple thousand years old. And it's it's in perfect shape. And it was, so the opening ceremonies were there. And it was about as good as the opening ceremonies of the regular Olympics. And the depressing part was the fact that the stadium, the arena was half empty. Can you imagine opening ceremonies of an Olympic event half empty? And even though the television, the camera is tried to stay away from that. And just broadcast the parts that the areas that were full, it couldn't be helped because every area of the arena was half empty. And you're thinking really, or we were thinking really, is that how unimportant the Paralympics are about? And one of the things about the Paralympics, and maybe people still feel that the Paralympics,

19:10you're sorry for these folks. And you know, they're, you know, they're handicapped and they don't have arms. They don't have legs. And they're skiing on one leg. They're skiing on no legs. They're skiing upside down, sideways. And how difficult it is. Now, imagine how difficult it is to ski at a world-class level with both legs and both arms with the poles. Can you imagine skiing at world-class level in a world-class level sport with one arm, with one leg, being a paraplegic. And that's what's so extraordinary about these athletes. And there were a couple that were a couple events that I just couldn't believe. No arms, no legs, no head. And that it was an extraordinary event. And there was no place to

20:15actually even hang the metal because there was no neck either. Okay, come on, guys, quit shaking your head. All right, as much as I'm making fun of the Paralympics, I mean, I make fun of everything and everybody. So for those of you that were offended or offended by the fun I'm making of the Paralympics, I don't have an email, so don't even bother. However, Anne does, and you could email her and scream about me. But I want to go back to watching the Paralympics last night and how depressing it was. Not depressing about the athletes. These athletes, I'm going to get into in a moment are absolutely world class. I mean, it is that simple. You know, the handicap almost doesn't matter how good they are. The depressing part was watching the opening ceremonies, which were tremendous. And the arena in Verona was half empty. I mean, how you have a

21:19half empty arena on opening ceremonies for an Olympic event. Now the Paralympics are a different organization. The Olympics are not connected. And the special Olympics are even also a different group. The special Olympics are those cognitively cognitively disabled. And there are folks who don't have the same cognitive powers. I'm trying to figure out a proper way of saying that. The Paralympics are people who are handicapped. And they're not, well, they are, but again, they're not. For example, the Paralympics, there's how many events there are, 79 events, metal events, in six sports, a pair of Alpine skiing, pair of Biathlon, pair of cross country skiing, pair of ice hockey, pair of snowboard wheelchair curling. And again, I want to point out that these are extraordinary athletes. And a lot of people think, oh, they're handicapped. Oh, they're in a wheelchair.

22:25Hey, guys, this is as hard and the training is as much. And the events I think are even more difficult. For example, how about this site impaired skiing downhill racing for people who can't see? I mean, you look at that and you go, wow, how do they do that? Well, there is a guide in front of each skier who on a speaker is talking to the skier and going turn left, turn left, a mogul here, you're near the, you're too close to the flag. I mean, can you imagine skiing like that? And can you imagine skiing like that on a world class level? And I'll tell you something else that is a shame. That is horrific is that there's no play, play to play announcement.

23:27There is no announcer talking about what you're seeing. All you do is see the event. And usually it's whenever you see an Olympic sport, what you're seeing, you're seeing an announcer, and then you're seeing an expert who has probably who usually has one a medal, a gold medal in that event in previous Paralympic or previous Olympics. They don't do that with the Paralympics. How can they not do that? I just don't get it. I just don't get it. Appreciating what these people do and how good they are. And let's talk about their handicap, right? They are handicapped, but not in the sense of their physical ability. The handicap is figuring out the level of their handicap and including that. There's a formula that they put in. It's like golf. Where do you have a handicap? So everybody's

24:29on an even keel. That's what happens in the Paralympics. Included into figuring out times and events is this handicap factor, which makes it an even playing field. I mean, it's complicated stuff, but to watch it, to watch these athletes go at it. And they're the first ones that will tell you, hey, we haven't practiced a lifetime like Olympic athletes to not appreciate what they do. So I think it's even more exciting to see what they do. Yesterday, I watched the skiing event, the downhill, the blind skiing, the downhill racing, and a couple people like no, and they're on one leg and they're skiing down, or they have one pole because they don't have a hand, or they're blind that we saw our vision impaired and the curling in the wheelchair. That's

25:35I think that's about the same, you know, whether I mean curling is curling, but you have basket ball not in the winter Olympics from the court in wheelchairs. Man, that one isn't easy. Now, the one sport I think they should have is wheelchair water polo, where everybody sinks because those wheelchairs don't float. I should be involved in managing these things, because I was wondering when this was going to turn south. How can I do an event without a turning south? Give me a break. This is the handle show. Okay, we're done. We're done. And you're missing out a lot if you don't watch these games. And it's a shonda that half of the arena was empty. And it's not like Verona, it's not like you're going to Sochi, which is up in the forefront lands and you're going to the North Pole, and there's nothing there to see. This is Verona for God's sake. I got married in Verona.
