Fatal Tesla Crash on Highway One: Driver Dies

California Highway Patrol says it happened around 4.55 pm at the Yardon Drive intersection involving a Tesla and a Southbound Dodge. Pick up truck pulling a trailer. The Tesla was making a left turn onto Northbound Highway 1 when it crossed right into the Dodge's path. The truck couldn't swerve in time, leading to a direct hit. The Tesla driver died right there at the scene. Their passenger got airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, while the Dodge driver took moderate wounds and rode an ambulance to another hospital. Troopers are still piecing together the full details, but this stretch of Highway 1 sees its share of tricky turns and traffic.
