0:00Have you heard of the military sleep method? I have. Okay, so do you know what to do and have you tried it before? Yes and yes. Because apparently 96% of the population, this works for and it'll put you to sleep in two minutes. I am unfortunately part of the 4% of the population. Well, they say the first thing, get yourself nice and comfortable in bed. Yes. Then relax your entire body from head to toe as much as possible. Then tense every part of your body up, starting with your scalp and working your way down to your toe. Wait a minute, wait a minute. Maybe that's what I've been doing wrong. I thought you were supposed to work from your toes up to your head. That's how I was doing it before. Like you tense up your toes and then your feet and then your legs, but maybe I'm doing it in the wrong order and that's what's best of me up. I'm wondering if 96% of the population this works for and 4% are bad at following directions. Well, that is true for me. After you tense up your entire body,

1:01again, starting at your scalp going down to your toes, let go and relax completely. Yes, then repeat the phrase, do not think, do not think, do not think, do not think, do not think, do not think over and over and over again to relax your mind. Okay, so close. I had heard it was supposed to be, I'm not thinking anything, I'm not thinking anything, but I'm gonna try these small tweaks. Well, one, a major tweak, starting at my scalp, go into my toes to tense up and then relax, but then it's what do not think, do not think. Okay, I'm gonna try, I'm gonna switch it up and see if that method works better for me. See, I had heard before it wasn't do not think, but the phrase that you were supposed to repeat if you couldn't fall asleep that I had read was this thought can wait. I had been doing that, like if I wake up randomly in the middle of the night and my mind's racing or whatever, I'll think to myself, this thought can wait, this thought can wait, and that actually helps, yeah, that helps somehow, somewhere.

2:01I'll have to try that one too, because that happens to me sometimes, especially if there's like a big deadline coming up, you wake up stressed, you're thinking about it, it's like this thought can wait. This thought can wait, so there you go. Maybe you can make yourself fall asleep in just two minutes.
