Falcons Trade Up, Stockpile Picks for Future

They shipped pick number 122 to the Las Vegas Raiders and got back picks number 134 in the fourth round and number 208 in the sixth. Right after the deal, the Raiders grab Arkansas running back Mike Washington, Jr. with that 122nd pick. Falcons stayed patient, even with a bunch of solid talents still sitting on the board. Linebackers like Kyle Lewis and Keeshawn Elliott were available along with Y receiver's Bryce Lance and Deon Berks and even quarterback Garrett. Newsmeyer passing on those guys has fans buzzing about what the front office sees long term. General manager Terry Cunningham talked it up on Monday saying they run through scenarios on player values, prospects and positions. More internal chats are coming up.
