Ex-Royal Albert Hall Worker Steals £42K, Avoids Jail

This week, Calvin Williams, a 35-year-old from Hammersmith in West London, worked casual shifts there and started taking items worth about 13,000 pounds between April and June last year. Even after the venue fired him, they forgot to deactivate his access card, so when he returned in August to challenge the dismissal, he grabbed another 31,000 pounds worth from a storage area. Police arrested him in October, finding lots of microphones and holders at his home, with a total theft hitting 58 items valued at 42,319 pounds.
